Good Morning, Friends.
Lilacs. Love and adore them. Never see any in these parts. Had many bushes at home where I grew up. Camelia the vet gave us in 1992 when our Poodle died was felled this year by some underground varmint that chewed the roots. It lasted 25 years. Can't complain about that. Can't decide what to put in the now empty spot. Miss those gorgeous blooms.
As to my favorite house fragrance: White linens and lace by Yankee Candle. Of course, I didn't find this until they discontinued it and now pay big bucks for what I can find on eBay.
We have a revolving door of people here, and I keep my wax melt machines fueled up.
Bought a new movement for our clock that we rely on in the kitchen and hope that John is up to installing it today. I'm tired of seeing 5:55 everytime it strikes.
The weather here is just what it should be. I pulled a LOT of grass from flower beds yesterday. Still need to do more, but may not.
JoG, yes, it seems you and John are dealing with the same grueling checks and balances. Thank goodness you don't require the transfusions he does. BUT they give him life. And I thank God each day.
Roofer called yesterday. They may make it here today to talk contract. Looks like it will be July before the roof shows up, but John says a roof should be installed in warm weather.
Well, better get going. Been awake since 3. Seems like it should be bedtime again by now. LOL
Hugs to All of You. maxie, you made me hungry for spaghetti and meatballs.
