Good Morning! I don't have much time, so I'm going to get this started & come back to edit or add later.
The last few days have been busy, busy, busy. That Sue, she works me like a dog. LOL!
The last two days we rolled & baked 28 doz ladylocks plus a couple other kinds of cookies, then yesterday we rolled & baked off 39 doz sugar cookies and 15 doz maple twists. The wonderful thing? They all could be done with the convection mode. Just certain kinds of cookies can't be. That cut my baking time down by half. What a HUGE relief.
Yesterday after we were done baking or rather we quit at noon, Sue & I ran into town for lunch, a few errands, and the BIG stop....the thrift store which has half price on Wed. We were barely there, and her DIL called....her water broke. So we had to leave. It ended up her DIL's water hadn't broken, but because there's so much pressure on her bladder, she peed herself several times. Poor thing. They sent her home. She has a C-section scheduled for tomorrow.
I came home & finished baking off the sugar cookies, then took a nap. It's so darned dreary around here and wet. I NEED SUNSHINE!!!! I had a meeting at the church to finalize the plans and shopping list for the Community Thanksgiving Meal we are hosting for the first time this year. We are planning on 200 people. Came home & baked off the maple twists.
This morning is Bible study. Coming home from that and putting the finishing touches on all the cookies that we baked that need it. That will take all afternoon.
Paula....he was a magician. It got the costume for a dollar at a garage sale this summer....top hat w/secret compartment, cape, and wand. Super cute!
Have a good one all!
