I didn't post the recipe since I thought you could do your own cake.
Sharon, I'm sure they would get soggy. Strawberries do that.

Make a batch when you are having enough people to eat them, serve the strawberries and the whipped cream topping as side dishes and have folks make their own cupcakes. They wont get as soggy.
