Yesterday it was "Kitchen Sink Soup" for lunch & supper.
That's when you take all of your leftovers and put them in a pot, add broth if necessary. It tasted good!, and we still have some for tomorrow. I'll just come up with something new today.
An alternative to the soup is to make a casserole with leftovers, just leave out most of the broth. Add what's necessary, dice the meat(s), top with cheese, and bake.
One learns this when one is young and poor, and leftovers are *never* thrown away. I learned it from a girl from LA when I first encountered military family living. Haven't really lost that habit.
