When you checked in on H&G before only some checked in then over in Family Room another group checked in

Now you have one check in (Family
Room) and the whole family checks in there ---saves going back and forth and you see other members posts that you sometimes never saw before cause they would only check in on H&G or vise versa.

Majority favored the one check in.

P.S. read about your truck --sorry about that and I hope you can get it fixed and it is not too costly.

Pat, if you really feel the need, I suppose you could start your own thread in H & G. I just hope others won't stop posting completely in the Family Room as I have so little time to read all the forums. But, that's just me. I'm not the majority.

Louise - that's exactly it. There are too many posts to read now. I have no desire to start my own check-in thread anywhere else. I was simply expressing my opinion. I realize majority rules and have followed their lead.

Pat, I was not meaning to upset you, just offering an option. Perhaps you could just read certain posts on the check-in thread if you like. I'm just offering up suggestions. This is your board too, so please feel free to do as you like.

I gotta be honest. After several weeks of everyone doing the same check-in thread in the Family Room, I just don't like it.

Me too, but seeing I'm mostly a lurker, I figured it wasn't my place to say anything.

Active participant or lurker.....if you're a member, you've got the right to your opinion.

It's true, there are many more posts to read with the check-in being in one place. BUT.......there are a couple of ways to look at that. One is.......be grateful that we have so many friends to say good morning to each and every day. Two......you can continue to join the group wherever they meet and just scroll through to find your little clique of people and read what they've had to say.

I'd be interested in what's not to like about the central location.

There is no law that you have to read every post or reply. Some threads may not interest you so just bypass them.

Home & Garden doesn't have the same atmosphere now? It's a very intangible feeling and I can't quite put my finger on ... why?
