  • Double check ins

I know it was discussed before before the crash, but what does everyone think of having just one check in spot? For the first few days back before H&G was recreated, we all checked in at the Family Room. It was kind of nice seeing & hearing from people that I normally didn't run into in H&G.

Personally I think one spot is fine.

Totally agree, Donna. It was discussed at one time and several were against it......but now seems the majority actually like all gathering at the same place. To me, it's a time saver.

Very definitely prefer one check in spot and IMO Family Room is the ideal place to do it in.

I think one spot worked out just right. I'm for just one.

When the RT was first set up the Family room was just that a Family Room where every one went to meet. The H&G was set for posts on taking care of the houses and gardening ideas. Be nice to get back to that wouldn't it?

I am in favor of letting the Family Room be the morning checkin and let home and garden be the discussion place for what you are doing at your home and what you're planting in the gardens. It's so much easier to keep up with everyone in 1 room.

I agree. One check-in place, in the Family Room.
Let's keep it simple, and one check-in place.

I agree. When I wrote I agree and posted a window came up and said message was too short. OK!

Hey that too short message warning bites. (I got it too) Sometimes only one or two words is needed.

I'm thinking one check in post is a good idea as well. It makes things a bit easier and also pulls us closer together as a family. Just my opinion.

Also, I think the messages have to be 10 characters long. Another little tweak to be dealt with in time I suppose. You can always just follow your shor message with .........

I agree with Kim. (I know y'all were sitting around twiddling your thumbs, waiting for my opinion. ).

One place to check in is fine with me. Then we can go to the other forums to "talk" about other items.

I like the idea of having one place to gather, sign-in and chat. I feel a bit strange voicing my opinion. I have become a stranger to my RT family! I hope that I will find a way to post more often. It truly is just taking the time to do it and being at a computer that works. I have written many posts that disappeared into cyberspace! I love and miss you all!

I gotta be honest. After several weeks of everyone doing the same check-in thread in the Family Room, I just don't like it.
