Good Friday Morning!

Good Morning! Might as well get this started. It's suppose to be another sunny one today. Lovin' it! Now if there was just some heat to go along with it.

Yesterday turned out more productive than I thought it was going to be. Started my day at Bible Study. Wasn't feeling too good when I left. Thought I was getting sick. Came home anticipating taking a nap & lounging the rest of the day, but I ate some lunch and felt MUCH better. I baked a couple pies and made 2 platters of cookies for orders. Cleaned a wee bit here & there. Worked on finding the Rx for a bunch of eyeglasses. Actually cooked a real meal. Cork did have leftovers while Blaise & I had pork chops. I love pork chops.

I got a call from the lady that organizes the funeral dinners at our church. She's already got a commitment for Friday & Saturday and can't do it. Neither could her 2nd person, so the Pastor suggested she call me. So with names, numbers, and a list of foods, I got busy organizing & calling. I've got a good team lined up, and ready to go & guide me tomorrow. I've been in charge of funeral dinners at the last 2 churches we went to in Shelby & Bradford, but every church does things different, so I'll find out how they do things here. The last two churches they wanted change from the way they had been done, but Zion has a plan & wants it done that way. Fine.

This morning I'm going to pop over to Aunt J's to give her the one pie I made, and pick up the rest of the stuff I have stored in her freezer. I've got to mix up the coleslaw dressing for tomorrow's dinner at the church. Will need to run to GE at some point and pick up the hams & dinner rolls. Need to meet up with the one customer for her to get her pie & cookies. Here I thought she was coming from around here somewhere, but she told me she's coming for the Pgh Airport area....far from here. Wow! I feel honored. Not sure what else I'll get into today. There is always clothes to wash & house to clean.

As I said in my post...Good morning all.

Today was another payday for me. Sometimes it falls right that both my S.S. and State Pention land on the same day, but not this time.

Will venture out today to W.W. to get a couple outdoor thermometers. It is SUPPOSE to be in low 40's today, so that wouldn't be to bad to be out putting them up. At least a lot of the snow should melt.

Good morning.
Nothing got charged overnight, apparently due to a faulty charging wire. Need E to replace it fast.
So no computer devices for me today til it’s fixed and everything recharges.

good morning

got the new keyboard plugged in,,,, a work of miracles!...however new keyboard not near as good as old ...no backlighting..no little tilt with little back feet.... but at least all the keys seemed to be working fine...I will miss the backlighting!.

been up "forever" like since 4am.... and have not done much but mess with this computer... aggg..time to dust,sweep,mop...really productive stuff.
....files sorting and tossing out old papers calling to me also... more really productive stuff.... Glad I made arrangements to visit my friend and take them the Pie Donna made... now thats really productive!..

can't find how to increase the font on this page, or computer or typewriter... so sorry about small print. ...my computer brain is not in gear yet.. need coffee... see you all later.

It is supposed to rain all day, just like it did yesterday. I wasn't a problem because the kids' moms all mentioned it as they dropped off so the kids already had the word we wouldn't be going out.

My doorbell rang just as I was finishing up here yesterday. A daycare child that no one told me would be early! They all know I open at 7:15 and the last time this child came early they had asked me...the room was dark and locked, so she had to ring the bell. And wait for me to get out to the daycare. Then she told me she had just picked Abby up and brought her out of bed and still in her overnight diaper....But the bright side of this is I will no longer stress about getting the door unlocked and the lights on. If someone comes early, too bad. I was dressed and ready, but if they come too early without notice, then they will have to wait.
The baby who doesn't come on Fridays will be here today, but I knew that way ahead of time and that mom Asked me. Can you tell it is time for me to retire?
I can deal with just about anything other than a parent that I don't feel truly appreciated.

Ok, better things ahead. Like a sunny day tomorrow when I go to pick up my mom. Yesterday the Florida temps were almost the same as here, except they started out with 28* at 7:30! The pictures they sent all day showed how much she is enjoying the trip and lots of sunshine. We have some storms coming in for the next week after Saturday. No fog was mentioned, but it wasn't mentioned last Saturday, either.

Saturday evening is our annual chili cook-off at church. I am making cornbread and Becky is making a Texas sheet cake, the white one. Almond flavoring and made with sour cream, not buttermilk.

Morning! A nice sunny morning with temps climbing into the 60s today. A January thaw. I have nothing planned and nothing to do today. Oh, there are things I could do but I already know I am not going to do them so no sense worrying about it. I'm taking a day off and may just stay in my jams.

Good afternoon, who knows where the time goes sometimes...today is trash day, hubby up and throwing me off my game plan, read the news, have some coffee, hubby in the kitchen fixing us breakfast and I on the couch lathering myself with Vick's and the heating pad... this crud just won't let me go, but I hear from others it will be 10 days to two weeks so I guess I have a ways to go...seems like forever already.

I got the sweetest thank you card in the mail yesterday from the lady that owns the real estate company my hubby works for, she thanked me for the goodies I sent to them, which I have done before he worked there, she said, "Sharon you are hands down one of the best cookie bakers ever" and also chocolates...I felt so good about that...I don't usually say much about my cooking, baking, etc. but I do get lots of compliments from my baking...I am a down to earth baker, no fancy decorating or anything, just everyday baking.

Paula I can well imagine retirement can't come soon enough....I do know what you mean about people showing up early, late, etc. when I was a beautician can recall many times like that. There are things that needed done when I first got to the shop with lights on and doors locked, people would get 'upset' if they showed up 30 mins. early and could not come in...it can be a liability in so many ways...

Maxie I hope we do get that warmer temps here in Ohio today also....I am seeing 54 on the temp and the sun is shining that makes me feel better already..
