  • Okay people I know I am not the only early morning person, Wednesday

Good Morning, wondering the hall alone this morning...where is everyone?

Thinking of E and JoG this morning, hoping all goes well for his surgery.

Cookie what was Blaise's costume this year? Hope he had fun Trick or Treating.

My brain seems to be in a fog or shut down mode, I am just drifting along the past few days, ever get to that point that you just want to 'unwind' and not have to think? Well I am having that kind of week, LOL...I guess not totally still cooking, on line shopping, and planning what I want to do with the Grandgirls...I think we will make some Cinnamon ornaments, going to stop by Hobby Lobby today to get some supplies to decorate with and ribbons to hang them from...also buy the applesauce and Cinnamon..I think they will love it.

Yesterday had chili and grilled cheese for supper, trying to use up some of the chili I have frozen...

Hubby is going up to our sons house in MI to hang some insulation, he will be working by himself as our son will be working...such a good Dad...he loves to help...

Ran into my ex sister in law yesterday, we had such a nice visit and talk, still love her after all of these years, and she feels the same way...she is going through a really rough time right now, her husband has a brain tumor, not operable and she is just a basket case, they say it is the worse kind to have and things are already going bad, he recently lost his vision, totally has no use of his left side, more and more things...we have remained close through the years, think she is the only one that understood why I divorced her brother...she is also very nice to my hubby and son..

Well time to get dressed and get this day started, looking forward to that time change? I think I am...Have a good day one and all..

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Here! (Sneaking sign in from work)
Things are slowly improving. Yesterday we did walking 1) upright and 2) unaided, as was a hospital visit to the clinic.
Things are going well, all the markers that were up are now down to normal, almost, white blood cell count is good, infection markers all fine, liver function normal.
He’ll be off for another couple of weeks at least because of how extensive the surgery was. To quote the surgeon “essentially you’ve been deeply stabbed 4 times by us, and that takes a long time to heal.”
    No infections though, so yay!
Boffler my lovely, I know that brain fog, I'm in it!

Boffler and Lisa, good to hear you are up and about and moving through the fog.
It will be a sugar hangover here, I am afraid, so that means a low expectation and avoid confrontation! My one toddler turns 2 today and that is great because it balances the enrollment the state allows...I will not get that started.

I got up a little later this morning. Ijust slept great! I hope this is how I will feel after the time change.

Sharon, I love those cinnamon ornaments! I always used any extra pieces or broken ones in a bowl with greenery. Do you bake them in the oven, air dry or use a dehydrator?

I have to get into the daycare and put the November calendar up. I took the Halloween decorations down and the scarecrow now has taken the place of honor the Mickey Mouse dressed as a ghost held! It was a popcorn container at Disney World and I get him out every October.

I had more kids than the last few years. No candy left over at all! All trick or treaters stopped about 7:45 and that also was a nice surprise. No big teens coming around late, either. There were so many family groups. It was very nice. The cute remarks some kids, especially the little ones said were just darling. They would see the room behind me (I gave out formt he daycare so the barking Chihuahua wouldn't be in their faces) and little kids were wide-eyed at the toys in the room...one little girl was adking me all kinds of questions: do you have a baby? She could see the crib. Are these your toys?! Do you live here? Kind of funny. One dad asked if I had any room for more kids (not at the moment) and lots of parents seemed really happy with the treat bags...another Halloween done and now, on to the Thanksgving turkey handprints!

Hopeyou all are seeing some sunshine through the fog, and your family and selves are feeling good and getting better. Thoughts of E and JoG today, especially.

good Morning... even if it is a dreary, dark, rainy looking day... I had a grand nights sleep until 7:30!!!!!!...must go find something that needs cleaned or sorted and not waste this energy!.... did all major Running around Mon and Tues. so today is an at-home day...

Lisa,, keep praying no infections show up!.. that is the secret to recovery... the body doesn't have to waste time chasing a germ,,and can get to the job of regaining strength..
Sharon,, I have an ex daughter in law.. I still love her dearly.. she realized much to late to why the divorce happened. she loves our family too.. BUT I am ultra careful never to express any of these feeling or her name when my new Dau-in-law is here .. she is entitled to her respect as Dil.

well, I must get busy?. doing something... to dark to clean. but I have been promising myself to get out the collection of yarn and see if I can make an afghan of many colors. maybe smallish crib size ones ,, one for each great-grand??? ..now there is a Plan..

        see you all later
Hi JoG.. hope all went well . I will be back to read later today.

          Good morning, and happy November.

Before I left the house I put a bunch of painted rocks out if the kids wanted any. For good measure I had quite a handful of loose change that I threw among the rocks. The little early-birds will enjoy that.

We stayed in a hotel last night. Neither of us slept very well. We are about to leave for the hospital shortly.
He has to be there early for prep, then it'll be a 3 hour surgery. They have him listed as an outpatient so if all goes smoothly he'll get to go home afterwards.

Will post later about the outcome.

Thank you for the thoughts our way!

          Have a great day! ☀️

Good Morning, yesterday after saying I hoped it warmed up for the trick or treaters put Molly out in SNOW, came down pretty good for a bit, mostlysticking to the grass and trees. Of course they sent the salt trucks through before the streets could get bad. Molly wasn't quite sure if she liked the snow.

We had one group last night, don't know how many since Candie was watching and went out to meet them, didn't want any one trying to come up.the wet steps.

Since it is still cold and white out there I'm gonna just stay inside today.

I am up but I am never up early so why am I the second one here? The more we enter into winter the more I hate leaving my warm bed. This morning it is rainy and ugly. That means carrying in groceries will be a wet cold job! And it will be a lonely job since Sierra has class then work today.

I alos did some online shopping yesterday. Sierra came in from school carrying a box from the porch and I made her put it back...Andrew loves carrying in the porch packages and opening them. It was legos for the little guys so he critiqued them and agreed they were gift worthy. The new Christmas catalog came in and he found another set he just had to have for his village. That boy has a list a mile long! Jon just casually mentioned that he heard November 1 is the day all the 'Elfs' as in Elf on a Shelf, are called back to the North Pole to get ready. We do not hide the Elf but get him into trouble. Since he no longer believes it is fun to have something the entire family can play...and every year could be the last he wants to play.

Will take the Halloween decorations down which means I will carry the one pumpkin I drug out back to its shelf in the basement. Need to decide on something for supper. The pot of chili was a hit and Andrew came in before he left to ask for a bowl to take home. I guess it was pretty good then...I hardly ever eat a bowl of the stuff. Tomorrow I am thinking stuffed peppers but need the peppers which are on my list. Since Jon has stopped snacking and watching his portion sizes we have food in the house and I did not go the store last week but once. I am starting to cook smaller portions, not that I am starving this family, but making sure there are not as many leftovers. He is doing wonderful on his diet! He sees the doctor for his consultation tomorrow.

Have no idea what we will have tonight so better get moving in case something that requires prep hits me in the grocery. Must have a meal on the table when the hoggers come in or they complain. Hope Jo and E have a successful surgery and she makes it home ok driving. Sharon your craft sounds fun with the girls. Lisa so happy Tex is recovering without complications. You are doing a good job taking care of him!! Happy day everyone. Wish mine were sunny and hot but, alas, it is rainy and cold. Winter Sucks!!
