Good Morning! I'm back.......

Today is the day....my best friend from Ohio is coming for our yearly apple sauce & apple butter weekend.

This week has been a busy one. I honestly thought life would slow down after all that pie baking, but it really hasn't. Last weekend was the women's conference and that went very well. Yesterday I used a little of my stash and hired my friend Sue to clean. We worked almost non-stop for 6 1/2 hrs. The whole house still isn't all clean, but the rooms we did do look & smell amazing.

Becca's room is no longer her room. The day before when she visited I told her we had to move all her boxes down to the garage before cleaning day. Well she took home a majority of the boxes and the rest went downstairs. This made it possible for us to clean and rearrange everything. The room now looks like a very pretty guest room. Sue was full of good ideas and I helped. That was my role yesterday. The dining room also looks wonderful.

My SIL invited us to dinner, and I didn't turn her down. I was in no mood or shape to cook last night. I still ache this morning.

This morning I'll finish cleaning the bathroom, tidy my bedroom. and get the kitchen ready for our applesauce marathon. Maureen probably won't get here until about 10:30. I'm taking her out tonight for her birthday dinner.

I have a customer coming later today to pick up her daughter's BD cake. She wanted an Emoji cake. It turned out cute. Next Wed we are going to officially start the cookie baking season. I've been baking cookies, but that's just to refill my freezer so that when someone calls for a cookie tray, I can do it.

It's so good to be back. I went thru serious withdrawals over the past 5 days. I mean it's bad enough to be w/o the internet, but my home phone too. Some people only have that #.

Yesterday was a great day!! I worked in the morning..then got a text from one of the other ladies that works with the lady that helps me...anyways I haven't been getting all my hours so I had extra...to use and this staff had lost 14 of her hours this week...so I said sure I wouldn't mind meeting up for some help..we went to walmart and then to a park for a nice walk...I ended my day starting a new book...lost about 3 hours reading..

My cubbies lost last night so they are done for the season! Maybe next year.

Nothing much is going on here. I always have something or other that needs to get done. But next week and weekend will be another story.

Good Morning, yeah Cookie is back with us....I know how much you look forward to your friend Maureen coming to visit and do the apples, enjoy that time...and yes, little by little Becca is making her own home away from home...rather bittersweet, I get it....but at this time in life you and Cork should be adjusting to the empty nest syndrome but that is not to be...I know how much you love the little guy and want the best for him, but it just has to wear you out...

Today more Dr./dentist appts. drop off some stuff at the hospital, hubby goes for his deep cleaning, I went in yesterday and cancelled mine, I totally think it is a racket, the only way they just do a cleaning on your teeth is after they do a 'deep cleaning' whether you need it or not...hubby needs it, I do not...This having no dental insurance is for the birds, and this coming year will get a taste of Medicare, not looking forward to those life changes...

Well time to get dressed and face the day, hubby had a house showing at 8:30 a.m. and we will leave when he gets back, and he has another showing this evening, hoping one or both pan out...

Have a wonderful day one and all...the weather man actually spoke of 'snow' coming soon, I still want to enjoy some nice fall weather, so many leaves on the trees here are still green and even on the tree farm...

Sharon, I had to have "deep cleaning" several years ago. It was done by a specialist in T.H. But I did have a gum desaese and the roots of my teeth had to be cleaned. Never got antibiotics though. He just froze the teeth like a tooth pulling.

I didn't have any gum disease or anything, only two teeth that he said look like the gums were receding, LOL well that is because there are crowns on each of those...he even complemented me on what good shape my teeth and gums were in that I had great hygiene, BUT, they always do a 'deep cleaning' to protect themselves 'just in case'!! I say screw you, I cancelled, now hubby, he needed it, he has a lot going on...

Good morning everyone.

Well yesterday turned out to having 2 days work done in one. But E got her lean-to cleaned out and we got the old sand box pulled out. I used a sledge hammer to brake it into 2 parts so we could handle it. Then took it and other things down to the burn pile. Then we got her new burn barrel put in the lean-to.

By the time we had picked up all the "stick pile" and the lean-to cleaned, we were ready for a small break. Had our drink and by that tiume the grass was dry so we could mow.

Today I'm taking her to Vincennes to the eye Dr. So I better get dressed. Have to be at her house by 9.

A sledge hammer??? Just when I think I couldn't be in awe of you anymore than I am...Boom! You are wielding a sledge hammer.
I am hoping to get some help to take out a square foot of cement walk out back to replace the last of the pipe and if I canget it out the plumber said it will reduce the cost by half! From 500 to 250!

I am almost out the door for my trip to Salt Lake for my roommate reunion. It has been two years since we had one. people's schedules were not fitting together and one couple went on a mission, so finally, this year is it
I am meeting two of my nieces this afternoon. One has a one year old with serious health issues and the other is a senior at Westminster college. I am taking sweaters and hope that is all I need, although, I wouldn't be against buying a BYU hoodie for warmth. Just ot sure I canfind one SL and not going down to Prove where the university is. We are meeting tomorrow at a condo downtown.

So glad to see Donna back and ready to hear about all the baking and food making! The housecleaning really calls to me. I need to set aside some serious time for my room. And the daycare. I need to purge in both rooms. I got two large boxes of really nice books last weekend from a former daycare child who has outgrown them and now I need to clear out books form our shelves. And toys that aren't getting played with.
My room just needs to get better organized. Like all the stuff on the shelves in my closet just taking up space...

We had a little rain last night. And the wind yesterday started taking the leaves off my across the street neighbor's tree. The kids got a kick out of checking it every hour to see how much was gone from the tree and how much was covering the car under it! I am going to have my tree cut back when I get home and that will take care of my leaf problem!

``Morning. Slept in this morning. Sorry the Cubbies lost Beth...well actually not, but sorry your team lost! Blues won last night and play again Saturday night. I am loving this hockey season. Yesterday was an absolutely perfect day. Beautiful and for once the house was just as warm as the outside. Looks like another perfect day in store for today.

Tonight is take out Friday and since spelling went so well last night we are letting Andrew choose where we go. Since Jon is working evenings outside and Sierra working I was delegated to homework. BUT it not only went smoothly but he actually knew the spelling words. So he can do it if he puts his mind to it!

Good to have you home Cookie. I am so getting ready to house clean but need the outside finished first. I am also itching to rearrange the living room furniture but if I do it now there will be no place for the tree and we need clearance to lay track for the train. A couple more gifts were delivered ysterday so I am off to a good start. If the money tree would pick up leaf production I could go pick a bunch and finish up.

Jostoy, I doubt I could life a sledge hammer let alone sling one. And your back does not complain? Paula have a good weekend and enjoy your friends, Elaine relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. Sharon enjoy the day out with your hubby. You do not realize how nice dental and eye insurance were until you don't have them anymore. I really miss the eye insurance!

So I am off to start the day. Should check the grocery list but Jon is working this weekend and no Andrew so no cooking. Maybe it will wait until Monday. Hope everyone is experiencing this beautiful weather...

Oh my back yelled VERY loud last night. But I didn't see anyone standing in line at her drive either. She has the same "luck" as me... when it comes to work. Now days most people, young and old, prefer to sit on their butts. At least in our area and our STATE. As you know, our state gives out a lot of stuff on aid like phones as well as money. So why work. No profit there. It's us dummies who work all our lives to support the lazyA$$es

just got back to this computer... morning was library trip, pick the house house.. wipe a bit here and there.. afternoon was taken up with a great visit from a nephew..Scott...... Scott has become the historian for my Fathers family tree... and I had stuff here that only he would be interested in .. he lives couple states away, up here for visit with his parents.. He stopped over to pick up the Stuff .and we ended up with 2 or more hours of talking family history .and then music.. he taught band and music in high school for year.. retired. and still is in music.. so we had a great talk together.. this young man is my Brother's child. Donna is my Sister child.. I do like my relatives..

Maxie, you are doing a great great thing helping Andrew,, the time is right now to get him on the right road..might not be Your Job. but it is a worthwhile one...
Jostoy.. so right about the "not working " folks.. hey,, a nag,, don't don't over do your back... David is paying very dearly for doing such things when he was younger... he has a terrible back . and lots of back pain... ..( a little tiny stick of dynamite would have worked as good as the sledge hammer,,, probably not legal tho? )
