    Rise & Shine Cupcakes!

Yesterday was busy but manageable. I actually sat down & watched a bit of TV during the evening.

Made & took down a couple tomato pies yesterday. Sue & I took samples of the one, and it was rather tasty. It's a savory pie. One you'd have as a side dish. Was offered some blackeyed susans and cone flowers by a church friend, so after was got our chores done for the morning, we went and got some to plant next week. Ran a few more errands, then came home to prep pies for today's baking for Sunday. I'm always confused what day it is!

When Blaise got home we headed into town and finally got him his cleats for soccer. Had to stop at Aldi's to pick up a few needed baking supplies. Man a live, were pecans expensive!!! I hope nobody else orders this German Choc pie until the price of nuts go down at Christmas time. I'll stock up then. Yesterday earlier I used up the last of those I bought in January. Washed up the dishes and mopped the floor, and called it a day. Nice!

More of the same today sort of. I don't have to prep any pies. Blaise has his first soccer "game" today, and after that I may go to a few garage sales. Our fun!

    Have a good one all!

    Good Morning. :

Lovely and cool this a.m. Hope it lasts all day.

Nothing much going on. Just a little cleaning and cooking.

Need to figure out something to take to church without having to go to the market.

Hope you each have a good day.

Good Morning to all...sitting here reading the news and having a cup of coffee, told hubby it was his morning to fix breakfast, my thinker is on break, let him decide...

Not much in the way of a plan today, will play it by ear and see what comes up. Baked cookies for the people at physical therapy, man was that ever a big hit, LOL...I love amish sugar cookies and so did everyone there...

Went to the grocery store and on my way in I heard someone hollering my name, turned around it was my Uncle, he was telling me about a garage sale he had been to and what they had there in way of some vintage Hull pottery, will go check it out today...he said he wanted to call me but realized my phone number was not in his phone, he handed it to me and ask if I would put it in there as he didn't know how, LOL...he is 78 yrs. old...and these things are all new to him..

Well it is smelling like breakfast so will get off of this computer, everyone has a wonderful day.
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

      Good morning.
An unexpected rain fell yesterday evening. It was only 1/8", but better than nothing. Today should be only 91°, but will hit 100° again tomorrow.
Not much going on here worth writing about.
I have leftover French toast in the freezer that I'll pop into the toaster to reheat for breakfast.
Hope you all have a great day.

French toast! I haven't made french toast in years..I used just regular sandwich bread and my boys loved it. Their father not so much so it was something we ate seldom but I am going to make it tonight when Jon gets off work. Supper will be served then will settle in for the baseball game.

Sierra saw IT last night and I am waiting for her to get up with a review. That is the one with the red balloons right?

Did I mention that Andrew tried out for band? Drums! Wednesday evening he has to haul a parent to the band meeting and buy the book and whatever else they can get a parent to spend money on BUT we are very happy he joined something. First time he took the initiative to join anything himself. He brought home his first stack of graded papers yesterday and they were wonderful...his last spelling test was not so great. We worked hard and ask his mother to go back over them but when ask he said she did not. Since we do all the homework I would not think asking her to do a review or help is out of line. She has good qualities but homework ain't one of them.

Guess I have nothing more to say. it is slowly warming up and yesterday for the first time all week the ac kicked on. Sun is shining but we need rain. Going to take care of all the potted plants and put the pots up for next Spring. Still no paint on the porch but darling son started a new project in the basement. He does know how to aggravate a soul! But it is driving me crazy and I may have to throw a regular call the police tantrum soon. Why can't we have a finished porch and show off the project. Why can't we have just one completed project? Why doesn't anything ever get finished around here? Ahhhhh!!!!

Love the paragraphs! I saw a picture of a red balloon tied to a water grate out in a little town near us. Now that sort of explains it. Not that I know anything about the movie or book. I don't like scary books or movies.

The kids and I went to see it too. We have all read the book and saw the older movie (was a tv movie and ran in I think 3 parts).
It was okay but didn't live up to the hype, I preferred the older movie, neither one really followed the book. I am listening to the book on the audible app now.

Wow! I actually slept in till 7:00 this morning. I did stay up later watching something on Amazon videos...the pilot in a series The Last Tycoon. Not sure if I really want to watch more. Maybe watch the second episode and see...

Today is a low agenda day. I have a baby shower this afternoon and have a good gift so I will be showing there to be social. Becky is going, too, and then we will be leaving with her ever present excuse of studying to be done. And it is true. She studies all the time.

My brother and his family (including a married daughter and her husband and baby, and his in-laws) all finally made it up to their Orlando townhouse. He had to stay at the Cape getting spacecraft secured. He mentioned some safety precautions with chemicals (he is a chemical engineer) that I didn't quite understand, except now, everything should be good there. He can't say much about what he is working on, but I had asked what they do when a hurricane is on its way. After the last hurricane he texted me pictures, saying, "The neighbors are back" and it was a huge alligator walking across the road from their car!
And even at the Disney townhouse, when his daughter went to a grocery store, she said there was a medium sized alligator behind the store in the parking lot.
My niece works at a Publix and said they were as busy as the day before Christmas shopping All this Week!

I better go: the dog is barking at the neighbor's cat. She sits up on the fence and just looks at him. And of course, he just keeps barking.

Hope you all have a good day. Maxie, how about an outside rug to put on the porch for now? It will add the color yyou want and you can still use it after it gets painted?
I am off to the Farmer's market and then to take my mom to Home Depot for 2 garbage cans for her yard waste!

Paula, the entire porch is new and completely bare. Lattice needs to be put around the bottom and new grass seeded from the concrete work we had done this summer. Jon thinks it is cheaper to do finish some things himself instead of having it included into the bid but then he never finishes!

Sierra is not a fan of scary movies but did say it was pretty lame...like you described, exact word.
