  • Thursday....up way to early

Morning...I wanted to tell you all that I love you...i have had very little to almost no sleep. I wasn't sleeping well to start with...ate dinner to late and too much. Anyways around 1 or 130 the house next door exploded...I had to get out of my house and stay out for may be an hour...until the fire men were able to make sure my home was safe..the grass caught fire and all the siding on that side of my house is melted off...everyone has been telling me go to sleep so u can work....I think I am up for the day....plan on going to work day to do my job and leave...they are already working really short so I don't want them down another person.

My parents are on their way over to help me deal with insurance and that stuff.

I think my parents and I are going to take pizza to The fire department later...

I am feeling extremely greatful and thanking God no one was hurt my house can be fixed. It could have been so much worse.

    I love you all

Beth, do they have any idea what happened next door? In Gary we would just figure when something like that happened that it was a meth lab.

Was this the neighbor's house that have been giving you fits? Was anyone in there?

I didn't want to say it, but in Red Bluff we would guess a meth lab, too...

Good Morning a chilly 50 degree morning...I had ordered some clothes from Catherine's and they are here so removing tags and will get them washed today, inside out and on delicate cycle, makes the clothes last longer... they amaze me at how fast they ship. Also received my order from Chewy.com, they are also fast on the ship, my cats have to eat prescription foods so I have found it is easy just to order it on line and they contact the vet...

Got my PT done yesterday, that is going great, still weakness in the left leg when I use steps but getting stronger, after that got my small trip to the grocery store done, then came home and got the pot pie put together and baked, hubby loved it, said it was something we had not had for a long time....I have a spaghetti squash I need to use also, have never used or made squash spaghetti before, hubby says maybe I might need a backup plan, LOL.

He is off to real estate office this morning...I think he enjoys doing it already..

Well time to get this day started, I made egg sandwiches for our breakfast, nice change...

Hope everyone has a reason to smile or laugh today, with all the devastation from the storms we all need to count our blessings...and I include all of you in mine..

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

It is Raining and lots of lightening and Loud Thunder. Not one sound from one dog at my house. They are huddled and scared. Even my chihuahua who is not afraid of fireworks or noise, is down by my feet.
If it puts out the fires it will be worth a little inconvenience.
One daycare mom just texted to ask if I have power...

Beth, so thankful you are safe!
And good you are able to go to work. Keeping a normal as possible schedule will help You feel better.
I am typing blind, so who knows how this looks.
Prayers for all in the storms' oath; both Coadts and all people!

Morning...when i was first up at 5:00 the weather guy said it was 44 in our area and it will reach a high of 70. These temps in September, 3 more hurricanes after Harvey cleanup is just starting and we still have people who claim there is no climate change. Unbelievable! No rain in our future for an entire week and no storms last night over homework. I knew how to do math and so did Drew so all he had to do was finish the paper and I checked it. Spelling is always a challenge but no books were thrown and he read like he was almost interested. Guess tonight we will have WWIII to make up for last night! This morning I was scrolling fb and up popped a picture of Tinker that Mindy posted. Such a shock to see that smile and instantly brought tears. Some people you just will always miss. Jon did do a few chores yesterday and even cooked supper. It was not award winning but I didn't cook it and sat right down to eat with a smile on my face. Today is his regular scheduled day off so he can try again tonight. Think tonight I may put a turkey in the crock pot. It will be finished by morning and I can just reheat it in gravy with mashed potatoes for supper tomorrow. Don't know what today will bring. Jon wants to bring a train car to a repairman in St. Louis and ask if I wanted to ride along....I don't but will reconsider if he comes up with a good lunch suggestion. He thinks since these are his dad's trains I would be so interested but he does not consider that his father drove me crazy with his little hobbies and that even back then I was being bribed with lunches. Guess I need to shower and start digging out the sweat shirts. Sierra gave me a bunch of socks so I have little frogs and stars or whatever to cover my toes and a new pair of cons so guess I actually am ready for fall. Paula so glad you are getting rain...those fires are outrageous! The amount of natural disaster is as alarming as the political disaster we have looming and all the crazy little men who have buttons they can push end us all.

Oh Maxie that would bring a smile and yet the tears also....I loved me some Tinker/Linda...first time I met her we just clicked and remained in contact after that. I often wondered what became of the family.

Good morning everyone. Looks like it's another day to hold onto sanity! Another devastating storm coming (Irma). Sounds like quite a thunderstorm you're getting, Paula.
Beth, what a shock you've had. I'm so glad you're okay, and that your parents are coming to help you. Did the firemen say what caused the explosion?

Hi Sassy...glad to see your post!
Hi Sharon. Will you model your new clothes for us? 😉 My MIL liked spaghetti squash. But E doesn't like anything that's mostly squash. I don't make it (oh, I tried a couple of times), because the squash and spaghetti sauce taste weird together to me. Otherwise I love orange-fleshed squashes. With butter.

Hi Maxie. Climate change is certainly playing a part in this weather. Not long ago I read that the scientists have said we have just crossed the line of no return. But that doesn't mean we should stop "going green".

A reminder.....Maye will be reading, but she's unable to post and has a problem signing in. HI MAYE! 👋 Hope the situation is corrected soon.

Also, another thing, in contacting me via email. Do not use the old Cox addy. They are pirates! We were paying $150/mo for their service, but got almost no service from them. Every time we called, they said to call Phx, swearing we were in the metrocenter there. So we quit, and have ignored their offers for "discounted" service. We've had gmail for well over a year.
Unless I have a reason to check my iPhone, I won't be aware someone's trying to contact me at an old address. And I don't generally have my iPhone on at home. I do have a PM address here. If you email me, I will be responding with my current addy.

Well, nothing much going on here. Those in the path of Mother Nature's "follies", my thoughts are heaped upon you for the duration. Beth, stay calm today. You are so lucky the explosion wasn't worse!

        Hugs to all!

Afternoon all! It's sunny but chilly here. Definitely jacket weather.

Yesterday was busy, busy, busy. Pies as usual, plus corn & peaches that needed done up. I just kept pluggin' along until early evening.

This morning I got up and got the pies baked before Sue arrived. Had to also make a coconut cream pie for a person coming at noontime. We accomplished a lot. This afternoon I will continue the pie mess, but hopefully done before Blaise gets home.

Speaking of homework Maxie....it must have been the air....once Blaise FINALLY decided to sit down & do his homework, he did it w/o a single moan or groan. He was pretty proud of himself, and I was too. I even comments how fast & well his did, and said, "See, you just do it, & it's done in no time flat."

Cork ended up working an 11 1/2 hr day yesterday. They HAD to have these lights to a certain point this morning so they could get finished for shipping tomorrow. He said his boss seemed shocked this morning. Cork said, "Did I stutter?"

Good to see you SassyG! Glad you were OK Bethina!

        Have a good one all!
