Good Morning! I was up at 6, put pies in, and was still so tired that I went back to bed. I never do that, but I was running on fumes. LOL!

I missed you guys yesterday. I didn't have time to start the thread and I didn't see one.

Yesterday Sue came out & played in the dirt while I assembled pies & baked. We finished up our jobs & met our goals, then headed into town. Headed straight to Lowes to get the mulch they have on sale, and loaded 25 bags into the Escape...a wee bit full. We also checked up the reduced rack of plants & picked up a few more. If all goes as planned, my front should be colorful and gorgeous in a year or two. I was going to have mulch delivered here by a local company and it was going to be almost $600! The sale is 5/$10, and we figure I'll need btw 100 & 150...BIG savings! We stopped for lunch before heading back here. A nice young boy/man working next door came over & helped us unload the mulch. He was such a nice young man.

The stand needed a few more pies, so I took them down & then had to come back & make more for today since that's the ones I snitched from. I had planned to bake off some of the cookie dough, but I ran out of time & steam. Had to make dinner before going and playing cards at my Aunt P's for the evening. Had fun! Actually won both games this time.

This morning I'm baking off the pies & hopefully some cookies. We'd like to go to an estate sale. We'll see. Nothing real exciting today. That's fine by me. Looks like we might get rain. Yesterday was so cold, you had to wear a jacket outside. BRRRR!!!! I'm not ready for this.

    Have a good one all!

About those cooler temps: Spencer said he had to wear long sleeved shirts! And here it was 112* yesterday with a record high expected today of 114*!

I am dressed in my fuzzy red robe, cradling a cup of coffee to warm my fingers and heading to a pool party to give summer a proper sendoff! Think summer decided to leave long before our party! Sharon I mentioned to Jon about putting a heater in our above ground pool next summer and he tried to research it but our internet was out last night. With all the cool we had this summer it might be a worth while investment to get a few more swims in! Thinking I will start to clean the kids (and mine) bedrooms next week and get under the beds, etc. Yes I am even going to go into the princesses room and get through that pile with her help. I just hope I have some energy because I have had none for a couple of weeks. My brain must not even be sharp because Sierra ask me why I ask her the same question again...well, I remember asking the question but do not remember what she answered. Is my brain so far gone that I cannot remember a response to a question I WANT to know the answer to? No wonder my body has no energy...my brain is using it all up! Andrew brought home a homework paper in math this weekend. Kinda made me mad. Even he said it is Friday and I am not doing it....well,me either! Let his mother do it. Although I would have made Sierra sit and do it so we could have the entire weekend off and free. Need to get the stuff together I am taking today and try not to forget anything. Seems we always have stuff going there or coming here when we get together. Clean one pile and make another! Enjoy this holiday weekend and hope I do not need to wear a jacket over my swim wear! Cards on the west coast and that is making for late nights...but we are winning!

Maxie maybe Sierra is like my husband when I ask the same question twice and he swears he has answered me when I know for a FACT he has not I think they might answer it in their minds but forget to let it come out of their mouths, LOL....I get so aggravated that he thinks it is ME...

Good Morning. Went to grandsons first home football game last night. He is a bench sitter this year, he messed up his back, so Drs told him it would be best he not do football this year, told them that he is to young to do ferment damage to his back. Anyhow he sits the bench to support his team and we sit the bleachers to support him.

Today is the day my mom and dad gave me a real live doll to play with. LOL my baby brother is 46 today, great aunt would be 117.

Everybody have a great day, maxie don't freeze in the pool.

        Good morning.
Wasn't here yesterday, because I woke up freezing cold again. E put the electric blanket on me and I slept til noon, at least. I was awake most of the afternoon, lying on the couch with my heavy, fuzzy blanket. Dozing on and off. I promised to contact my doctor and see what he has to say.....will do it on the electronic Chart I have. And a nurse will contact him.

No plans today. I'm feeling a bit weak. Ight be taking a nap this morning.

        Hope you-all have a great day. ☀️

Yesterday must have been something going on everywhere! I woke with vertigo and didn't get to the RT until in the afternoon and didn't see anyone...so that is why I wrote Friday???
As I said in Donna's comment, today is expected to be a record high with 114*. The down side to that is the air quality is still bad with fires in the north and the smoke drifting down the valley. I did swim this morning and the air doesn't smell of smoke, but still gets to the eyes...and the windshields...
I was a bit nervous about getting up:wondering if the room was going to spin. I didn't , but I am taking it a little easy. That feeling of not being 100%, yet.
A friend of mine is starting a Meal train (online sign up to take food to a family) and I messaged her to find out about it yesterday afternoon. Perfect tming, since I was first. For me I need the weekends to do something like that and I said I would take the first day, tomorrow. So I am shopping this morning for the lasagna dinner ingredients and she will pick up the food tomorrow and take to the family. They have been down in SF with children in the hospital there. I am not sure of all the details, but I know what it is like to have a child in the hospital for a long stay when Stephanie was in the hospital for 6 weeks. And the hospital was 35 miles away from home. We got a lot of help from family and friends and I decided then I would do whatever I could to repay that kindness.
Maxie, who are the Cards playing? I will check it out. I have a small bit to finish on a quilt and I can help cheer on your team. Hopefully, they are playing one of the CA teams that is not one of our favorites!
My brother met up with our son Spencer Thursday night when he had an overnight in Baltimore. It was a little funny but also a little crazy listening to Spencer tell how he and Boone (11) drove into downtown Baltimore with Boone doing the navigation! Using an app on the phone...and on the way out of Baltimore ...I am just happy I don't have to drive in any city that size. He said he wanted to take the family to the restaurant they went to and use the water taxis, but I made him promise to do it as a daytime activity! Country mouse vs. city mouse thinking on my part.
Hope you all have a great 3 day weekend. I am not planning on anything big, just enjoying the quiet and having a day to do a little catch up around here.
I do plan on being out in the yard to cut some things back. Donna, I need both you and Sue out here!

Can't believe I napped for 2 hrs after I posted.
I then sent a note to my doc, with a quick history of this kind of episode. So I don't know if, today being Saturday and the Cancer Center is closed, whether I'll hear from the nurse on duty after hours, whether the doctor on call will handle it, or if she will have my doc contact me today or tomorrow, about whether or not I'm due for that blood infusion.

Paula, I think you've got close to Phoenix' temps now. Today we're 99°. While I'm not "freezing" or shivering, I still feel cold and have my thick, warm, furry blanket covering me in my chair.
