Aug 19th Up & Attam.....

Good Morning! It's a wet one out there right now, but I guess we need a bit of rain for the crops to grow. This is farm country.

Yesterday was good. Sue was here at 7am and started working outside immediately. The area she worked on looks nice & neat now. Can't wait to get the mulch. She then came in and helped me do up a bushel of peaches into filling and made up a bunch of pie crust dough to take home & roll. When she left, it was like she took my energy right with her. Laid down & took a nap. We then went for a nice swim. The water is beautiful.

I finally got some energy...not so much...and baked off 2 kinds of cookies and did up the laundry. My burst of energy didn't come until about 8pm, and then I hustled. Made up & refrigerated 18 pies that are now being baked. Then had a BIG mess to clean up. The kitchen looked good when I went to bed at midnight. Even mopped the floor.

This morning it is already warm & very muggy. Summer! I've got fans going in the kitchen along with the a/c. Pies are baking. Not all sure what my day will bring. Need to pop over to Aunt J's to make a delivery.

Night before last Cork requested Cottage Cheese bread. He wanted to take a small loaf into Big Ray at work. Big Ray at the entire loaf a break time. No wonder he is big. He loved every bite. LOL! That bread begs for spaghetti, so that's what I made for dinner last night. That and fresh sliced tomatoes & a beautiful fruit salad. Love summer foods.

Good morning....I am up dressed half packed half way ready for work....Yesterday was a bit rough at work...there was a sale on Tshirts...and there were a lot of customers with not smart questions or needing help...at one time I was trying to help 4 customers at once..

11 starts my 3 days weekend!! Balloon fest in my parents home town...helping with a hot air balloon all weekend...starting this evening and the last flight is 6:00 Sunday evening...then going to my granny's in Marion on Monday to watch the eclipse...they are supposed to have 100% viewing..

If I don't make here I promise to try to put some balloon pictures either here or facebook.

Oh Donna please don't rush things today is only the 18th, LOL Days come and go way to fast anymore already...

Today is trash day so I got that all rounded up and ready for hubby when he got out of bed..cleaned the litter boxes, cleaned out fridge, etc. and now that is done, wore me out...

Drinking my cup of joe this morning, and litteraly drinking my cup of joe, Kona Joe coffee, LOL... as hubby says, "most expensive coffee ever"!!

Need to make a trip to the grocery store, get ready for my trip next week...family reunion in Indiana, looking forward to it...I have been pretty much in charge of getting it organized as everyone calls me the 'organizer'.
Got my ovens cleaned, love seeing them looking so nice again... I tell you cleaning oven racks use to be a chore until years ago when I started using Easy Off no fume cleaner and a tall kitchen trash bag...

Well the cats are getting settled in so time for me to get my shower and get this day started....so glad I didn't sleep a day away, LOL (Donna)

Good morning.
Yesterday did rush by, and nothing got accomplished here, except maybe reading.

E's upper arm has developed huge bright purple bruises, and his shoulder is a bit swollen. Poor guy. But he diligently takes his pain pills. He sees another doctor next week.

Obviously I didn't wake early today. I woke 3x during the night, but didn't get up, just fell back asleep each time. But feel fairly rested this morning. Not sure what today will bring.
It's supposed to be a lovely, hot, sunshine day. ☀️

Morning! Beth our balloon glow is tomorrow also. I look forward to it as much as you look forward to yours! Today is Andrew's first day of school so guess he got up and off ok...that is his mom's job. We get the after school and homework part of the school year. Slept better last night but still not great. Wish they had a better selection of movies on in the late night/early morning hours. Got the running accomplished yesterday and Sierra rode along to help. She did the dashing in and out jobs then helped tote groceries. Of course she also got a nice Mexican meal out of the deal but I do not complain when someone else is hauling groceries up the basement steps. Have a roast in the crock pot and think I will fix new potatoes and carrots. I make butter carrots but Jon and Andrew want theirs with honey and crap so Jon will season them when he gets home. Allergies are starting and I am thinking it will be a bad year with all the dry weather. You never sneeze once but have to conduct an entire symphony and rattle your brains! With fall coming in I need to think about my 'spring cleaning'...always do it in the fall before closing up the house for the winter. Not much in the mood especially since the front porch is still not painted. I refuse to hire it done if that is what son is waiting for. But this is his weekend off and we have it full of events on both days. When you only get every other weekend off they fill quickly. Think I will call my sister. Haven't talked to her since Tuesday. She wants an end of summer pool weekend and we need to plan a day for our Yule Cabin trip. Way to many weekend workers in this family. Guess I'll get going and shower. No plans to leave the house today except to meet the bus...need to get my bus waiting book in the car. Back on a schedule and cooking nightly, homework. I hate school starting as much as the kids do!!

I sure know what day it is: August 18, 1973 was the day Gary and I were married!
Sharon, in that one picture I posted of me sitting down and Gary standing you can see my weight was up but he Never said anything about it! Never even said, oh you would look better if you lost a few pounds.., always complimented me on how I looked or spoke or sang.
Ok, so it is Friday and a good day!
Donna, I want to bake some chocolate sugar cookies I saw on Pinterest. Look up
Swig chocolate sugar cookies... they use powdered and gran sugar. And they are sold cold with room temperature frosting.
Today will be easier: the baby is with his grandma on Fridays and one toddler is home today.
I also had a child bring me a bottle of olive oil! His dad works at a big olive facility in Corning and this is really good oil!
