Aug 16th - Rise & Shine Cupcakes!

Good Morning! To be another nice summer day here. We actually got a bit of rain during the evening, which was nice.

Yesterday was a busy & productive day as usual lately. Sue & I had Aunt J join us in the morning. She scooped grease while we did this that & another. Blaise & I then headed over to the school so I could help assemble First Day folders for the students. They contain those blasted sheets you have to fill out every stinkin year. Then it was back home to bake. My life is busy but boring. I did take time during the early afternoon to bake off a batch of cookies. It felt so good to get my hands in cookie dough. Once they were made, I delivered a pie & 2 doz cookies. Got home just in time for the guy who's giving us a quote on doing our roof. There will go that nest egg I've been saving this for. It was nice while it lasted. I'm just grateful I have that egg.

This morning I'm up early baking pies. I'm hoping I can get them all done before we have to take today's pies to the stand, because then Blaise & I are heading into town for the rest of the morning. Of course we'll have lunch out. I invited Becca, but she has a noon meeting. Then it'll be bake home to bake cookies probably. It's never ending, but I'm grateful.

Good Morning to all...just passing through for now, have to go let them see my TB test area site....then to Lowe's for more deck stain...got my bottom oven on clean cycle, should be cook enough to wipe out when I get home....found out yesterday after cleaning the top oven that you can't do the bottom one in the same time frame hence this morning clean cycle.
Donna, yes those nest eggs are so good, but so sad when you have to use them, one thing your family an say about you, a woman that helps out financially really good by baking all the time...and other ways also.

Not sure if my comment of lol to Sharon will post or not, but so funny! Because I can totally relate!~ I always have to find some way to pretend I am awake and ready to start the day.
Well, the garbage trucks haven't come around yet so I got more garbage out to the cans. Not really cans, they are big plastic bins, but, you get the picture.
My cat is yowling at the screen door this morning. Not sure if it is because I forgot to buy treats or if it is because he can see the cat on the back fence...
Donna, just let me know what the temperature has to be so you can mail cookies, especially the Ladylocks.
I have been cleaning up and clearing out. All the summer pool towels and toys are cleaned up and put away. I have one splash pad that I will use for awhile longer but I am getting things back to normal. No more big towels all ove rthe place and draped over the fence, etc.
I am hoping to make a pedicure appointment today and that will keep me going. that and the 6:45 child won't be here until 8:45 today...I take those breaks any way I can!
I hope you all get enough breaks in your day to stay rested and happy!

will be brief,, organized the kitchen sink area. and bed,bathroom.. make out a groc list and David is ready to run today.
He has been cooped in house two whole days. poor man.. however , he had terrible pain on right side ,( back). and was sure it was a kidney stone.. calmed it down with pain pills.. and it seems to have settled down.. might have been a small one on the move.. I hope so.. he sure don't need any new medical problem..

had a great time working at Donna's.. I play in grease while Donna and Sue play in pie dough... don't we sound like a kindergarten group? ..and I don't even have to clean up the mess.. I'm just glad I can help her. and get to eat her goodies free..

better get moving , David is pacing .. see you all later, hope you have a great day..

Morning! I am so late and yet others seem to be later. Donna and Paula you just go and go...Sharon, my oven self cleans but is just so much work to turn the buttons..lol! I am truly out of energy at any time of the day anymore. I go back to see the endocrinologist this fall so maybe this time I will stop fighting it and do whatever she wants. Do they still sell Geritol? Remember that commercial? Jon called off yesterday with a massive stomach disorder. Thankfully it lasted only about 12 hours. Sierra and I were making finger crosses when he walked by to ward off any germs. It was pretty rough and frankly I do not have the energy to handle even a short running disease right now. It has done some raining out this morning but I don't think it wet under the trees so maybe more is to come? We have just missed every shower that has been in the area and are due for a good rain...but not this weekend...have things going on this weekend! Have no idea what Sierra's work schedule is since everyone has gotten out of the habit of writing things on the calendar for me. Now that school is starting I need to be aware of everyone's plans and early dismissals and doctors appointment so I can keep track of who will be meeting the bus. I am not ready for school to start...just plain not ready! Gotta go read what is going on in Face book....people all up in arms over the president's view on the world. Lot's of buyers remorse going on out there. Of course, this state still has no school funding and schools started back this week. Once this governor is over rode and funding released he will just go back to his union busting agenda. Lots of mistakes made in polling booths causing a lot of suffering. Well, you know I can rant on but no need...can't change anything so just have to suffer through it.

Good morning, everyone.
Yesterday was weird. I was shivering cold all day, and tired. I had a long morning nap, followed by a long afternoon nap, under an electric blanket set on high. I missed taking E to his doctor appointment, but he managed to drive himself. I woke when he got home, and got ready to go out to dinner. When we got there, all I ordered was soup. I was cold again, and only ate about 10 spoonfuls of the soup. Didn't make much of a dent in the hot tea, either. When we got home, I went right back to bed, and the electric blanket. After an hour or so I was able to turn off the blanket, but slept about 12 hours.
Doing better today, so far.
Sounds stupid when the temps here are about 100°. If I feel like that today, will call my oncologist to see if I need that blood transfusion he mentioned. I'm borderline anemic.

Maxie, I recall Geritol! My Dad used to take it. Then someone said that a main ingredient in it was alcohol, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took it off the market. Also- I can't keep up with the news on the current president. None of it good.
Sundays paper usually has an entire page of "what the president said" and "the true facts". It's so disturbing. I believe the wrong person is in the White House (he calls it a dump?); and we have to put up with 4 years of it?????

Cookie, you've got me thinking about cookies now. Geez, and I really need to lose weight!

Sharon, that's certainly me, today in particular. 😆
