Good Morning! It's looking stormy out there right now.

Thought I'd check in before my day goes crazy again. I spent the morning yesterday sorting eye glasses for future mission trips. It was just a break from baking. Came home & back to baking. Before I got home I stopped down at the stand to retrieve my pie baskets. I had to drop off the pies early because I was going to do the glasses. They sent me home with another bushel & a half of peaches.

I just worked slowly but surely. Got a lot done. We had a nice summer dinner...corn on the cob, fresh tomato, green beans, and chicken. A new customer came after 8pm to pick up her cookie order for her niece's wedding. She had plans to go home & still make the sugar cookies for this wedding....I convinced her to trash that idea and sold her a pie to go home & enjoy. The niece didn't know what kind or how many cookies her aunt was bringing. I made up a bunch of fillings for the weekend, so things should go smoother.

This morning Sue is coming. First thing we are doing is re-making the Ladylocks that got ruined when the freezer door was left ajar. They are for an order that's being picked up later this afternoon. Then it's onto pie shells and peaches. I ask Sue to help me with the peaches because I just couldn't face doing them alone. I'm tired.

Good Morning and a rainy one it is, but the sky is looking darker and darker so no doubt another storm is on its way, that figures the cable guy is supposed to be here between 9 - 10 a.m. we have been having problems with our phone disconnecting when talking, pixeling on the tv, etc. they say a squirrel probably chewed through the outer layer of wire somewhere so I imagine they will be replacing it, will just be glad when it is fixed...tired of being disconnected during a call and having to use my cellphone to call someone back..

Got my peaches canned yesterday and also made blackberry dumplings, not cobbler, dumplings, made them for my Uncle who mentioned them on Facebook but could not get in touch with him so we have to eat them, LOL....hubby had never eaten them before and he said last night they were delicious, first time making them grew up watching Mom and Grandma make them but I never did...I tasted a little bite I can't eat them because of the seeds...

Great news, hubby passed his test, he even finished an hour ahead of the others, LOL....he is now a licensed to sale real estate in the state of Ohio and will be working with Goddard & Murphy real estate here in town...she is the one that wanted him to do this, she is also a good friend and neighbor..so happy and proud of him...he just has to have something to do part time, not a regular job that you have to be in the office each day.

Donna one of these days you have to slow down, not good on your health I do worry about you...when does Blaise start school...and what grade will he be in? I always looked forward to the kids going back to school I always got more done on my schedule...

Congrats to your hubby!!! I'm trying to slow down. That's why I'm having Sue come more hours. I can't keep up this pace. School starts in about 2 1/2 weeks. Keeping him busy the last 3 weeks has helped make his summer go by faster. My goal is to be done baking by the time he gets home, but that doesn't always happen. Kathy is being an AH again. I was ready to toss my cookies last night.

Good Morning

got six hours of sleep , no bathroom interruptions.. thats a record around here .!.. should have energy to do a little cleaning this morning ,, David is taking his early morning snooze in the recliner and so I stay quiet , read or do computer.

Think I will go hunt for some fresh corn from the farmer stand where Donna's pie are sold,,,, and get enough to put some bags in freezer.... have to go pick up book at library I ordered.. have had no luck getting good books on Kindle.. my favorite authors new books have not come out with 2017 book yet. Suggestion of authors of mystery stories welcome.

we went to Walmart yesterday.. did some more re-stocking of essential. hope to skip a week completely free of groc shopping and just eat from the freezer and panty.. stop to pay the homeowners bill at State Farm Ins. and hope I never have to use it.

time to get ready for the day... have a car to pick up at the garage sometime,, (inspected, brakes, rotors agggg,big bill).. today..

Good morning, everyone. TGIF!

Yesterday in the early evening we had a beautiful thunderstorm. No big winds! No huge loud blasts of thunder. Just over 1/2" of rain. Today we're forecasted for early afternoon thunderstorms.

Kroger had steaks on sale, buy 1 pkg get 2 free. I'll be making beef stew today. It oughta be really good.

Today I'll be picking up around here, maybe a bit of laundry as well.

Sunday, dinner with nephew & his wife, and the 2 grandkids they're raising. Nephew is still recovering from that motorcycle accident, still going through PT, and getting both his eyes fixed due to cataracts. Should be able to go back to work by September, I think. We help them with groceries in the meantime, and got their grandkids supplies & clothes for school. Their school starts Monday, just outside of Tucson. Our schools have been in session since mid-July.

Cookie, I'm glad you have help with your baking (also the grease balls). That's a lot of work for 1 person.
Sharon, the dumplings sound good. I have the same problem with seeds (& nuts). Congrats to your hubby!

Holy Cow ! It is cold out there and the breeze is making it colder. A jacket morning for sure and it is August 4. Weather is sure screwed up!! So, you are tired of hearing this, but we are going to Kohl's today. Coupons start today and I did not feel like leaving the house yesterday. Lazed around and watched the ballgame yesterday afternoon, put a meal on the table and went to bed early. Seems to be the story of my life. So much needs to be done around here and I feel like a harpy always handing out a list of chores. My husband fixed things before they broke and his son cannot see it needs fixed if it is flapping in his face. Evidently I am still not in a good mood so will move on and find something to do. Even Mother Nature is messing with me today!!!

I just wrote a bunch and then it said some error and what the heck?!
Basically, I was on a photo hunt last night for Stuart for a picture for the school bulletin board and found a bunch of Spencer from his Eagle Scout ceremony and a great night down memory lane...but now I have to go to open up the daycare room for an early child.
Hope the rest of this day goes without technical difficulties...

I am late again....lol..

I got up early and did all the washing....Then i had my little helper who help me out..
Then we wash the car and vacuum....Just great..Now it is going to rain.....

Have I ranted about Kohl's yet? I know I am in a bad mood and I know that makes everything just seem like I am being picked on but Kohl's got me today. I ranted out to the car and in the car to eat and in the car home and in the house once we got here. Sierra says I overreact but I got taken. Today I took my 30% off coupon and the extra $10 off if you spend over $50.00 and I receive a whopping nothing in the way of a discount even though I spent 4 times the necessary $50.00. Sierra's shirts and jacket were exempt from all discounts and since Andrew's jeans were on sale they did not total the amount needed even for the extra $10.00. I am not a coupon shopper but this seemed like a good deal. We did qualify for $10.00 Kohl's cash. I spent $200 and they give me $10.00 Kohl's cash so I can go back next week for more bargains. AND you know what my granddaughter says as she is out the door for work? "Eat a candy bar grandma and get over it" but that will not put me in a better mood cuz I do not have a candy bar!!!!!!!!!
