  • Our Dear Sweet Mickie

Did you read that Mickie has passed on? Nearly broke my heart. Cannot believe so many years have passed since we met that first year at Donna's. Her mother and my mother were both from Calabria, Italy, and when we met it was like we had always known eachother.

She was a special person in my life for many years, and I have to thank Donna for that.

I loved her so. May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to her family.

Yes I did....had been keeping watch for it especially after they said Hospice had been called in...we were indeed blessed to have met and known this woman, she was a very loving, caring woman who could cook like no other, a true Italian woman, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, she loved family....and most of all she was kind, kind and thoughtful to all...she has been missed here for a long time...I often wonder about Louise also...so many that no longer come here and I think of them from time to time and wonder how they are doing. Rest in Peace Mickie, you were a classy lady.

Oh, so sorry to read this. I knew Mickie from another site that Pat and I were on and I enjoyed her posts there as much as those here. she always mentioned her family and you could tell how much they meant to her. I could picture her kitchen with everyone pitching in to make cookies and other goodies at the holidays form her comments. A blessing to her family and friends! A life that will not be forgotten!
