  • Good Monday, July 10

    Hello everyone!
Yesterday it was only 101° here - nice! Mother Nature got the word. 😀 In the afternoon the skies clouded over but it was barely a sprinkle of rain. E walked around the backyard and got maybe 5 drops of rain on him altogether. The temps should stay down for a few days, before climbing again.

As of yesterday, that fire was contained 51%, but nearly 27,000 acres are burned. So that one is nearly done with. Another one had started further away from us....and so it goes. This Monsoon Season isn't very wet.
It's really too hot to be outside much. Especially us older folks. This heat just drains your energy.

Today I have an appointment with the heart doctor. He'll let me know the results of my test, and hopefully that will be the end of it with him.

Hope you all have a very good day!

Good Morning, it has been a morning of lots of rain, thunder and lightening...but the rain is much needed, our yard is turning brown...I also have a Dr. appt. today, just the 6 month check up with the local GI Dr. need to keep him so I have a place to get my infusions... not sure how long he will continue to just be a Dr. but not treating me really...

Nothing else on my agenda today, still have congestion but no temp or anything, going to take awhile to get rid of the congestion. I do think I will have to have an appt. with orthopedic Dr. my left hip/leg is really causing me some misery, at times it wakes me a night its so painful, also been having some nasty leg cramps in that leg and those things hurt like the dickens, brings you to tears for sure..well enough complaining, LOL time to get real, finish reading the news, have a cup of coffee then hit the shower and get my day truly started...

Have a good day one and all, we truly do have so much to be thankful for, given of yourself and your time means everything to someone..

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Good Monday morning! I am back at it and thankful I have time to come here for a few minutes..
My mother will be over here except for the time she meets with the electrician to get the work started on her house. a huge limb fell on the wires leading to her house and for a whole, the fire dept and the P. G.&E people were out there. The end result was damage to her box where the wores come into the house and not something the utility guys are allowed to fix. So, a permit and an electrician.. Our favorite electrician wasn't answering and was, in fact, out of town, so I was looking at the recommendations other people were giving me. Oh, my gosh! When you go to someone's Facebook page and see what they have to say (one guy who I would have called was on a rant about a tragedy in our community and how He would Never have had a similar incident), well, it made it much easier to wait till we heard form the super nice, Honest guy we both have used.
Anyway, we had a good day yesterday with my birthday and my family calling so my mom got to here all of that and it kept her mind off the mess at home. And since the tree was not on her property, I had her call her insurance guy (AAA) and hope that she will not be out a ton of money. both my brothers are on board that we will make up any difference in what she may have to be out of pocket. this is all because of the drought. The tree looked healthy and there was no storm, so who knows? It could be one of those incidents that isn't covered by insurance...
I better get going. I have missed sitting here with you all in the morning and wish you all a great day!

Paula, if the tree was not on her property, you need to get the insurance info of the person whose property it was on. Your mom's insurance may say it is the tree owners responsibility to pay.

Good Morning. Sunny here today, have let Molly out and back in. She throws rocks, silly dog loves rocks and brings them in out of the yard and gets mad when they are thrown back out. Last night I made her come in for barking at people in their own yards, she grabbed a rock on the way in and when I undid her leash she threw it at me.

      Everyone have a great day

Good morning checking in from work while on break. My week end wasn't bad and so far work hasn't been to bad for a Monday.

Goooood morning! Have already got supper in the crock pot and had a conversation with my sister. She wants me to come down and enjoy the heat around her pool this week but next week is the reunion week so I don't know what I will do...getting so I hate driving and Sierra is working 6 in a row after today so I would go alone. Tonight is family dinner night and I half expect Andrew in after work for a swim. Last night's game was over quickly since the coach put in his son to pitch earlier than normal and the mercy rule took effect earlier. Why do men feel they have to promote their own at the expense of the rest of the team. Guess he feels if he took the time to take a team it his right to star his own talent-less kid. But there I go again being judgemental. Just thank goodness this ball season is over! Had recorded Amelia Earhart and watched it when we got home last night. When they started talking bones I knew it was all over..they never find the bones or they just disappear. Another mystery I will never find an end to just like Jack the Ripper... although why i still care about him is an actual mystery to ME! And the treasure of Oak Island will never be found no matter how many specials I watch. By the number of mysteries I read I guess we can conclude that I am a sucker for a mystery! Have a pile of laundry to do and plan to stay home the entire day to do it. Cardinals on all-star break so no baseball for a few days so good thing Hallmark is entertaining me with Christmas movies this week. Life is slow and dull around here but that is not a bad thing. Stay cool!

Good Afternoon! It started out sunny but the clouds rolled in late morning & it's been raining ever since.

Yesterday was good. Becca was gone all day. Just puttered around. My big project was hosing all the crud out of the carpet scrubber. Kitty litter kind of gums things up a bit. Our friends Rob & Cheryl came over for a short visit. It's been years since we've sat down with them.

After Cork & Blaise went to bed, I was sitting here at the computer playing a game when suddenly there was a HUGE BOOM! Sounded like something exploded. I looked around on all sides of our house and didn't see smoke anywhere. About 5 minutes later I saw several fire trucks pull across the road. I went out & crossed the highway to ask them if they knew anything. Apparently someone called them and reported hearing the explosion too, but nobody knew where it was. They left shortly after that to go home. It REALLY shook the house.

This morning Becca, Blaise, and I went up to Living Treasures. It's a low key zoo that you get to feed alot of the animals and pet quite a few of them. I had hoped we'd get there in time to do the bottle feedings, but I didn't see the small print that said it was being done in the petting zoo area. Dang! We did get to talk quite extensively to one of the staff, and she told us all kinds of stuff. I loved feeding the giraffe. We then stopped at Arby's for lunch on the way home....Becca's treat. Now it's nap time. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

            Have a good one all!
