  • Good Morning, the month is fleeting by already

July 6th...oh wow already..we drove home on the 4th. Man what a week I have had, I am worn out and sicker than a dog...my brother in law started with a runny nose and it progressed to his lungs and he had an upper respiratory infection, then my sister got the same thing, they both went to Dr. while we were there, and got shots and medicine, the day we were to leave, I got it and on top of it my niece and I had a little bought of food poisoning from some sour cream purchased at Kroger, Kroger brand...I got in the bed on the way back and slept all the way from IN to 30 mins. from home, and then yesterday morning hubby has it now also...this stuff is some nasty respiratory stuff...and right now at this minute I have a cat that has thrown up 3 times in under five minutes...yes this is a very sick household..

No plans for today either, I did make homemade chicken noodle soup yesterday, the easy version, cook some chicken breast chunks with chicken broth then add Mrs. Millers homemade egg noodles...had some Yoders mashed potatoes I stuck in microwave, green beans and butter bread...first I had felt like eating since the 3rd. Not a whole lot but it tasted good...

My fingers are worn to the bone, so much work that needed done before they could move in and so many problems we ran into, my poor hubby is a jack of all trades thankfully for them..having a cup of coffee will see how that goes....weak, tired, sleepy...take care one and all...be back tomorrow.

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

    Good morning from Millersville, MD.
Rainy and nice! Today is our last full day and then tomorrow we fly home.
I have loved everything about this trip!
I have missed being here and will do better when I can be on my desktop at home.
My DIL and grandson made sushi last night. Lunch was at Mission BBQ and the best brisket ever!
Take care! Going to the Amish market again to bring things back for friends.
This has not been a diet kind of trip!

      Good morning! ☺️

Sunny and hot here. 🌵 Hopefully we'll get thundershowers this weekend.
The fire in the mountains near here has grown to over 23,500 acres (38.3 square miles), it's 11% contained so far, with 688 volunteers fighting it. There's smoke in the air, of course. No doubt particles in the air that we don't see. My eyes were dry and itchy when we got back home.

The ECHO test went well. The nurse/technician kept a conversation going, on and off, as she worked, mostly asking questions about heart history. No stress test was required! YAY! So I see the heart doc on Monday and expect to be dismissed after that.

So, that's about it. We'll be packing to visit DD in WA after midmonth, and plan to stay there a week. Weather there is only in the 80's, and will be a relief to us.

Sharon, I'm sorry to hear you've gotten so sick. Hope it passes quickly.
Paula, am so happy for you that your trip is so great!

To everyone, I'm wishing you a splendid day! ☀️

Sharon...ew! So sorry about all the sickness and then hard work too. But you are a good sister!! Paula, who needs a diet on vacation? Cannot wait to see what you bring us from the Amish market! Family vacations are the very best. Today I think I will get an oil change and tire rotate. Sierra came in yesterday and told me to plan family dinner for tonight since she is off and needs to stay home and do homework so might as well get this family stuff over with for the week. Actually she did not say it that way but it was the translation....I really do think everyone liked sitting at around the table. Tonight is meatloaf, mashed potatoes and some type of veggie...I would love a waldorf salad but..... Going to be hot today and not sure if it rained last night. Did tons of laundry yesterday and even ironed as I went so nothing but a few shirts that have been line drying will need an iron. Today is an afternoon Cardinals game. I much prefer evening games but there we go again with no one asking my opinion. If things ran my way every day the world would be such a happy place for all of us. Got nothing to say and no set plans for the day. Heard the heat is back on in the west Jo and it is even melting the trash bags. Wow..that is hot! Have a good Thursday all.

          Good Morning.

Been AWOL because computer not plugged in. We've had almost 10 inches of rain since July 1. Lightening has been out of this world. Our neighbor lost 5 cows one night.

Sharon, so sorry you are ill. Hope it passes quickly. Chicken noodle soup sounds so good.

Paula, I've been following your adventures. So much fun seeing your happy family.

Jo, glad your health is doing so well. Glad you will be getting out of the heat for awhile.

maxie, LOL. I can't wait to see what Paula brings us, either. Ha Ha!

Well, just got off the mower and my hair is drying but need to make a trip to town.

          Hugs to Everyone.

Good Afternoon! Man Elaine....you guys down in Texas just don't mess around.....go BIG or go home.

Sharon....take it easy girl. Glad you are back with us.
Safe travels home Paula! Will be glad when you are back with us too.
            Now where is Jostoy?

Yesterday I didn't feel too great, but got through it. Took Blaise for a swim lesson, then after lunch we headed into town. Delivered the doctor's office pie, then went to the library, then finished it off with a trip to Aldi's. Only planned to go in and get a COUPLE things....HA!....$63 later. They had their buns on sale, so I picked up enough for 100 hamburger for the homeless shelter. Will freeze them until we go in a few weeks. Then they had their cream cheese on sale for $.79 and I HAD to buy a case of that because I go through that quickly. Then other things jumped into my cart. How's that happen?

Becca came down after work for the night. She still has fleas jumping in her carpet. She set off another group of flea bombs & will go up later to sweep and clean. She's off now until next Wed, so she's coming back down and going to Blaise's swim meet and stay the night again.

Kathy texted me last night & needed me to meet her at the bank at 10;30 when she was signing papers for her loan. Well I already had a swim lesson scheduled for Blaise, so I went down early and left the paperwork she needed. Blaise had his lesson and now I'm making fried cabbage & noodles for the swim meet tonight. My Mom, Becca, and maybe Cork are coming tonight to watch him. This is the last one.

Time to get busy.....have a good one all!
