Good Morning .

company ,company...son Mike, with Pam,, from Colorado.. grandson Kiel ( mike's kid) from Va. other Grandson (S.C.) did not make it.. hes sick..... but the big party at Karens is history.... but has a funny ending !....... all that food!... so good... so many dishes... How ever... Karen did not stop to eat.. just doing the thinks she needed to do as hostess...finally went to get her supper.. and all the food was gone!... unheard of!..
....every year that has been so much left over that we partied the next day.. seriously, nothing but a few pieces of dessert were there... all the meats and good dishes were emptied. ....her two college kids had been allowed to invites "some" friends from school... and those young people EAT... had a great weather day ... .. so the rest of my week will be a busy one... mostly talking and a wee bit of cooking ...

party with just my four kids,& their kids ,.. tomorrow... a deck party .. and a picture taking opportunity.....trying to keep menu simple.. hot dogs on grill.. KFC chicken and coleslaw... my Potato salad. and yet another big cassorole of Mac and Cheese. plus some dessert.. Want to watch and listen to the kids interact with each other.. should be fun. rain or shine..

so I won't be in here much... but you are in my thoughts...

Good morning...Sale day at work yesterday wasn't bad at all...it didn't seem like we had as many people come but the people that did come all left with cart loads of stuff. Came home from work and crashed for a few hours....Ended my evening/night at the river with my friend from across the street. She didn't really want to be home alone and we needed to get an idea for tonight. Tonight and tomrrrow night there will be fire works...we may or may not end up down there both nights...UP to her....She told me on the way home that she is moving in the next couple of months I hate to see her go...but she can't afford her house and it needs a ton of work put into it that she can 't do or afford on her one income...

My day today looks much like yesterday but not work as much.....

Tonight for supper I shall have carnival food or ribs or both.

Good morning, Kids have both left for work. Not sure what today will bring. Yesterday I did my laundry, hardwood floors so I can scoot the basket back and forth. Don't know what anyone is doing tomorrow, I know Ellen has to work. Aunt Maye enjoy your company.

Good morning from Deams State Park in Indiana. This is the first morning we have had to actually sleep in a bit we are usually up and out the door and heading to my sisters new home to paint and clean. My finger tips are so sore on my right hand this morning can hardly use them, 😀 Hubby is worn to a frazzle he has climbed up and down the ladder so many times. Today is a free day the floor cleaners are to be there today, it is a restoration company will do the tile floors and tub areas and also the carpets so everything we could get done had to be finished up yesterday. Tomorrow we pack up the motorhome and head home, this evening we are grilling steaks and eating here at campground we had two steaks and potatoes we were going to cook and sis, bro in law, niece and her SO will join us also. Using a hotspot this morning on IPad so will be back in a few days. Take care and be safe.

Good Morning! Up early again..getting up early messes with my day because it means I have to leave and go somewhere. Today we are off to put tires on Sierra's car. Actually I am going along to produce the credit card that pays for the tires going on her car! But what can her dad and I do? Mommy dearest has never put a dime in the kid but certainly has controlled her life to the extreme. Speaking of mommy her boyfriend fell off his jet ski yesterday and is all full of booboos. Sierra brought in pictures and we all offered a lot of things but none of them was sympathy. I just wish karma didn;t take so long to come around...I want instant gratification but yesterday was sweet. Do not now what today will bring but I do need to come up with a dish to take to my sister's tomorrow. Will see Scott and that will be nice. Everyone in this house is working tomorrow so I will take the trip alone. She will be building an hour closer next summer and that will be nice. Saturday they went and pick out cabinetry. She says she saw a refrigerator with built in water, ice and a kuerig coffee pot on the door. A coffee pot! Imagine...She also said they could put the entire house budget into the kitchen alone. I am looking forward to her cutting the distance in half that we have to travel. Told my bil if he played his cards right he could have his sil living in one of those mini houses in his back yard. I am not to sure what that sound was that he made but I do know he would help me move if I was serious. I have one bil and he is a peach!! So Sierra is in the shower and I need to be thinking of heading there. Looks like Illinois may have a budget even if the (insert cuss word) gov says he will veto it. The man didn;t want a budget until he busted a union and guess he will fight it until the end no matter the damage he has done or how many people just keep supporting him. Union haters do not see how they are hurting themselves with this crusade to demolish them. Oh well, all we want is a budget and medical bills paid and the schools to open on time with proper funding...you know, normal things. Need to get moving..having breakfast after dropping off the car and I do love a good breakfast out!

Good morning....how nice to see all you early birds today.
Yesterday was good, though E forgot all about breakfast out so we had cereal at home. Then headed out to the movies.
Enjoyed "Despicable Me 3"----funny! Then out to lunch at Applebee's. After that, off to the grocery store. We'd just filled our cart when a wave of lightheadness and stomach upset hit me. I sat at the Starbucks kiosk til E checked out. We went straight home, he put away the groceries and I really conked out in bed. The catnap helped. I didn't feel like eating, so he just "grazed" for dinner.

Enroute toward the movies, I saw two big billows of smoke coming off the Catalina mountains. That's the next mountain range over from us, about an hour's drive from us. When we were returning home, I noticed we could just barely see those billows which were now shrouded in a thick smokey mist that rose high over the mountains. You couldn't tell where the smoke ended and clouds began. 🔥 There are so many fires out here in the southwest. 😕

We didn't have a drop of the forecasted bit of rain yesterday. We'll see if there's any for us today, but it doesn't look promising.
Finally got to read the newspaper last evening. All this heat I've been talking about? Well, this June is the hottest it's been in 130 years. (And Phoenix is hotter!). All I can hope is that since the heat came on so early this year, that perhaps autumn will bring it's cooler temperatures early, too. E said he's not going to count on that, he thinks it's unlikely. I told him to shut up, because holding on to that thought is what's going to get me through this hellish summer.
So much for that.

No big plans for today. I'll be doing some laundry. E said he'd do it, but I said I NEED the exercise of getting chores done. So he's "letting" me do it.

So that's what's going on here. I need to get some breakfast and get my day started.

Afternoon all!

Yesterday was a pretty day. Perfect for swimming. Becca stayed until after dinner, then headed home with her kitty. Well then the day's drama started. She stepped in and fleas jumped all over her. She was totally grossed out. Told her to get some bug bombs, set them off, and come back down here for the night.

Becca was gone very early so that she could sweep before going to work for 7am. Well fleas were still jumping and she was in tears. Good thing she left her kitty here. Cork headed up there a bit a go to see if he could do something so that she could at least sleep there tonight when she gets off at 11pm. In the meantime, I just got done making 100 hamburger patties & put them in the freezer. Our church is doing the meal for the homeless shelter the last Sunday in July. The hamburger is on sale this week, so I went in this morning to get 20lbs of it.

Not feeling too great right now, so I think I'll take a power nap before taking pies down to the restaurant. I then need to make a big fruit salad for the concession stand. Kathy & Cork are both actually coming to Blaise's meet tonight. WOW! I also made up a roaster of fried cabbage & noodles.

Donna, take a pie plate, put some water and a bit of dish soap in it, sit it where the fleas seems the worst and put a light where the bulb is very close to the pie pan. The fleas jump at the light and fall into the pie pan.
