Good morning...I just plain don't feel good this morning...I think its all allergies and weather related....work is still stressful.

Granny still isn't great. She is still having swallowing issues and nausea both of which started after hospitalization. They will scope her today...we are not sure when she will get out of the hospital..I am hoping for Tom arrow....she is going to in patient rehab....Mom and I have plans for Saturday but now they may need postponed if Granny gets discharged on Saturday.

Just as I got off work yesterday the storms started....I went ahead and rode the bus hoping to beat the storms...I didn't beat the storms but my sis happened to be at Sam's so I road back around to Sam's and got off we had lunch and she took me home. So thankful to not have to walk in the storms/rain.

My coach lady came yesterday we accomplished alot....and went to the mall to take a walk and have some dinner.

Plan for today...work and who knows...probably a big nap.

Good Morning...a bit cloudy out there supposed to storm...I stayed busy myself yesterday, had my INR finger poke, then went to JCPenney's because they are closing and having sales, I found a salad spinner which I have been wanting...I always wash my lettuce and its a chore to try and dry it, I will not buy bagged salad mixes, they smell horrible and have to many additives to make them last so long...not good for my gut...also found some nice clothes for grandgirls...then I went to Lowe's to buy hubby a Father's Day gift which is a power washer...they loaded it and its in the back of my car..Since he let Mother's Day and my birthday go without anything, well cards, maybe I shouldn't be so 'thoughtful' but alas that is not who I am...I was more hurt than anything I guess we all like being made to feel special, most men just don't get that, we are taken for granted..

Today I want to buy the 'stuff' to make Paula's recipe she once shared for million dollar spaghetti, want to make some, sounds delicious..but right now I am hungry and need to find something appealing for breakfast...

Maye, I wish we would have put on a metal roof...glad your crew is so neat, not all of them are.
jostoy at least your alive that is a good thing and staying busy is just who you are, you can run circles around most.
sassy, love your kitties, I have two black monsters that think wakey wakey time is 5:00 a.m.
Beth there will always be stress in life no getting away from it, its how you react to it that makes a difference. Hope your Grandma improves..

Well time to get this day moving, have a great one..

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

          Hi Y'All!

Well, yesterday I didn't have internet service, but I didn't know what the problem was until last evening, so I missed an entire day of your activities.

Need to read and catch up, but first get ready for someone who just called to say they are visiting.

          Hugs to Everyone.

            Good morning to all.
Today might be a busy one for me. I get my haircut today. I have a BD discount card, but it's not clear if it covers the haircut, or if it's for "extra services" like mani-pedi, facial, or such. I'll find out. I got a call yesterday confirming my hairdresser *will* be in for sure.
Also need to call someone in the hospital colonoscopy department, return their call that is. I will be dropping some meds for a few days prior to the procedure next week. Of all days, today I have to begin my low fiber diet, which changes to liquid diet on Monday. Geez, I hate this. Actually, they were set to do the procedure today, but I asked for a "birthday break", so they moved it to Tuesday of next week.
Today I've reached the 3/4 century mark, for what it's worth. 🎉 Ta-da!!!!! All medical issues considered, I know how fortunate I am to have made it this far. Two of the kids, so far, have sent me cards on the right day. For the longest time, they thought my birthday always falls on Fathers Day! 😂
Maybe today I'll renew my drivers license. E says maybe I'll want a meal out. (I don't think so. Imagine picking through the menu for low-fiber foods. Ha! )
So that's what my agenda for today looks like.

Have a great day, everyone. ☀️

Good Morning. The sun is shining, but that's temporary from what I heard.

Yesterday wasn't the greatest. Two days in a row feeling like crap. Blah!

I felt good starting out, but Blaise didn't. Summer cold I think. We headed into town to deliver the pie, picked up a reserved library book, and Aldi's to pick up missed items from the day before. We got home and both crashed. I just couldn't keep my sugar level up. I did get the pork roasts going for the day. My SIL & niece came for a swim & by that time Blaise was feeling fine. I came up and made a couple big skillets of fried cabbage & noodles for tonight's swim meet concession stand. It's a local favorite.

Kathy called panicked. The thought she had lice & ask me all kinds of questions that I didn't know the answers to. They sent her home from work. That girl is going to get fired. Anyways, her & Mike eventually came up. I didn't see anything in her head. They went down to swim and she finally swept the pool. It looks so nice now. A storm rolled in and it cleared up just minutes before practice & I FINALLY started feeling better. Came home & shredded the pork & put the BBQ sauce on it. It's now ready for Saturday's party.

I woke up early this morning & thought I'd get started. But after a few minutes my eyeballs felt like lead, so I went back to bed. Now I feel human.....except I woke to scratching my jaw lines. Poison ivy. I've been dealing with it on my arms & leg and it's almost healed, but now this. May have to call the doctor. I use to take a steroid, but doesn't mix with Diabetes.

Got a call from the restaurant already this morning & need to get their order ready. I have a big greasy mess left from the pork that I need to clean up first. Tonight is the first swim meet IF it doesn't get rained out. The forecast isn't looking so good. That won't stop me praying for it to miss us though.

Funny thing....last night Mike said after Corky left the room....he finally smiled at me! I told him he was lucky. He wouldn't look at Jimmy let alone talk to him. Cork will talk to Mike though. Mike is ex-military and is very respectful to him. Cork is always Sir and I'm Mamma Donna.

Time to get busy. Have a good one all!

I like the sound of that Mike!
Tell Kathy to see if there is a public health nurse or school nurse available to check her head. check back of the neck for any redness and the base of the hair for any eggs. they are really hard to see. Ove rthe years working in Kindrgarten I had to check a lot of heads. Now they just send them to the nurse. Never had it in daycare, thank Heaven!

Happy Birthday, Jo! Is pie low fiber? Hope there is something in the day to make it special.
so happy I was able to log in without problems. I can not post when I can't see what I am typing. I make enough mistakes when I can see!
So, my good news and Bad news: Stuart called and said he arranged his schedule to come to Maryland for part of the time Becky and I will be there! That is the good news. the bad news is I will not be able to get away up to PA to meet up with Maye and Donna. I am still just not able to totally resolve my feelings about it, either. To be so close (5 hours) and not be able to work it out. But, to be with all three of my kids at the same time is more than I thought would happen. And our congressman's office was able to change my ticket/tour request to a little later the same day and add another ticket! So, Stuart gets to go on the Capitol tour with us.
I am trying to get the storage unit all cleared out and not stress over it. I don't want to pay another 100.00 when I have made up my mind...Becky has been going over there during the day and sorting things, then bringing things back here that we want to keep in the shed out back or in the house. Very few things will be coming into the house! We rode out to the dump yesterday after daycare so she could see where it is and what the hours are. good thing, too, because they close at 4:30! They keep better hours than I do! anyway, she will start taking what she can and hopefully, we won't have to hire anyone. I am just tired of paying out to store things we haven't used in years and someone else can use them. the two yard sales for the shelters have come at a great time.
And it all started with me finally going through the outside shed and clearing it out.
I am out of ideas for Father's day gifts for the kids...I am thinking thumbprint cookies. with a thumbprint card from their child.
One dad came yesterday in a different uniform from his normal one I see and I asked if they changed their uniform for summer. He is a sheriff's deputy. he said no, it was for going out in the field to find the marijuana grow spots. this is the time for a lot of cultivation, I guess. anyway, he said around the county, besides out in the boonies, people try and hide it in their gardens between corn, in tomato cages...as I was shaking my head, he just said, It is all over this state. Not just up here...So, he is getting a big batch of cookies!!
I better go. Just so happy to sit with you all awhile!
Have a good day and stay hydrated! Beth, your life coach sounds like she is doing a great job!

              Hi Paula.....thank you.
Pie can be low fiber (depending on the fruit which must be cooked & no peel), and depending on the flour used in the crust (no whole grain flour). A pudding filling would work. Or just a bowl of pudding. An eclair..,,which is what I want today, is pudding, chocolate (ok on low fiber), and the pastry is made with white flour. I'll be happy with that.
But for the next few days I'll be keeping it pretty basic, and when in doubt I'll grab an Ensure drink. 🤗

That lucky cop! Yes, he deserves a batch of cookies!

I think Donna & Maye will fully understand if you can't make it. Family is so important!
That's why E is looking into moving back to Phx. To be nearer the kids, hrands, and great-grands, so we can see them more often. Hey, downsizing our belongings is not all that easy. We need to be rid of nearly everything!!!!! E wants a place that serves all meals, too. And I like to cook. Available apartments look like a crap shoot in that department. We are giving ourselves a year to get ready, and come to terms with the new reality.
