  • Hello world its Tuesday and good to be alive

Good Morning y'all....its a beautiful morning, a bit muggy but a gentle breeze blowing for now...

Well yesterday turned out to be an all dayer, 2.5 hour drive, was 11:30 when we got to the town, stopped for a sandwich at Subway, then onto the place that had the boat, he and his wife are from Arizona camping from March until fall they have family there, so we take it to the water, first off the batteries are dead, so they can't get going, hubby luckily has jumper cables in his truck, the brother of the man selling the boat used his vehicle and gave it a jump, once in the water it did great, it is in good shape well taken care of, I sat in our truck while they were doing all of this keeping the money safe decided to buy it, so then we had to find a notary to sign over the documents as we printed some out before leaving home, Arizona only has a registration card, not title like we have here in Ohio...so by then it is late afternoon, I mean like 4:30, it has been a long day, so around 5:30 we stopped at a place about an hour from home we like to eat at and had dinner...got home around 8:30 with a boat...

I would have rather stay home but did not want him going alone...they were very nice people, retired and just didn't want to pull a boat all the way back to Arizona, he pulled the boat behind motorhome and she drove the car, she said this way she doesn't have to drive back...

Don't know what today will bring, the hubby can do all he needs to do today to get the trailer and boat weighed, Ohio is ridiculous when it comes to that...and then he can go get what he needs for numbers, title and such...not me, I can stay home...Tomorrow I need to go get a finger poke for my INR and will be stopping at Lowe's, I want to buy hubby a gas power washer for Father's Day/birthday combo...so with the boat he has something to keep him busy and he doesn't need me...

On Facebook Pat mentioned the electric pressure cooker, I have a nice beef roast in the freezer going to get it out and have a roast on Wednesday, today will be brats on the grill...Hope everyone is doing okay, hoping to hear from Maye...

Got to go and round up some breakfast...have a great day one and all..

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

    Good Morning.

Sharon, yesterday was long but very productive for you all. How far is the water you will be boating in? Sounds like a lot of fun ahead.

About pressure cookers, I tried beans in it, but it's not John's favorite. He likes them low and slow, so I have a batch in the slow cooker this morning.

John's blood numbers were still OK yesterday, so that means we have the whole week off without one more appointment. Yay!

So glad I mowed yesterday, as we got nearly 3/4" inch of rain all of a sudden last evening. Settled the dust in the yard and that coming from the hay baling all around us.

Hope everyone has a good day. I'll get my sheets in the washer now. Hugs ~ ~ ~ ~

Good morning...work is really stressful right now...we have 2 new volunteers and one return volunteer meaning 5 volunteers to keep up with now...two of the new ones need to be watched they were putting stuff in the wrong places...we were going behind them and fixing their mistakes showing them right places...on top of our our own work and responsibility...something was said to our bosses and supposidly they said they don't care...I don't if that true or not..I will be patient and give them a chance to learn before I say anything to my bosses....I had to learn at one point and people were patient with me...I will do the same for these guys.

I met some people for lunch..wasn't to impressed with their choice of resteraunts...I did like the ice cream shop after lunch!!

The lady that is helping me came yesterday...I really really like her..!! we cleaned out the fridge...and pantry and I cleaned my room...then we went and got groceries...We were going to walk but it was way to hot...we will go some place to walk on Wednesday.

        Good morning!
It will be a nice 95° out today. Tomorrow, 103°, and heading upwards.
People are probably getting their boats ready for the lakes. It's fun to see boats being pulled down the highways, the heat from the road distorting the view under them. E always wonders out loud which lake it's going to or coming from, and if there are any nearby we don't know about. I always tell him they're heading to a mirage.

Speaking of E, he's always finding odd info. The last was dealing with a calandar change, where 10 or 11 days were removed. Then he quizzes ME. So he asks me, "do you know when George Washington was born?" I replied instantly, "when he was a very little baby." (Thank you, my inner blonde!). He is still laughing at that one.

Elaine, I'm glad to hear John is doing so well.
Me, I have an endoscopy coming up next week. 🙄 I have to mark my calendar on when to stop my various meds. I dread drinking that horrid solution the night before. I need this because when they found my cancer they couldn't finish that endoscopy.

Beth, that's a very good outlook you have for work.

Not much on today's agenda. Need to shower, and have a bit of grocery shopping to do. With luck maybe I can talk E into taking me to a few clothing stores to find a couple of things I need.
Wishing you all a beautiful day! ☀️

Good SUNNY Morning! Thunderstorms are predicted for the next week....hope not.

Yesterday was very nice. Thank God for a/c. I cleaned out the plastics cupboard and the hall closet. Dreaded chores, but they are done. Got a call from the lady that got cookies from me for her nephew's wedding a couple weeks ago. She ask what I had in the freezer & then ordered 4 doz of each. Well I didn't quite have the 4 doz, so I made a fresh batch of each.

Had to take the Escape for it's yearly inspection. When he called to tell me it was finished, I ask if Cork paid him for last week's car inspection. He said no, but he wanted to talk to Cork. Here he wants to trade golf lessons for car repairs/inspections. Works for us!

Kathy's boyfriend Mike came out after work to give Blaise some new Pokemon cards. They then went down to swim for an hour. It was leftovers night here, so Mike joined us. Nice guy. He's very good with Blaise. He left when we left to go to swim team practice.

Last night there was a parent meeting. Volunteer jobs were talked about & everyone stepped up. I'm doing concession stand. It was a very long practice. The kids were given their cards telling them which heat they were in along with lane assignment. Blaise was in the last group. He did great. He made it clear across w/o stopping. He was last, but he made it, and that's what important at this point. He was proud of himself, and maybe the competitive part will kick in.

This morning we are running into Aldi's. Not sure what project of cleaning I'll do today. Even if it's cleaning out the utensils drawer, it'll be something. Oh....today's project with Blaise is learning to tie his own shoes. He's been wearing Velcro shoes most of his life, but now it's time for shoelaces. Swim team this evening.

        Have a good one all!

I am typing blind again. I couldn't log in on my desktop. It said I did not use the correct name or password, then told me I had to wait 15 minutes! I have never had that happen.
We end up skipping dinner, per se, and just went to Baskin Robbins! That wasn't my goal, but after having an ice cream cone, I wasn't hungry. Baseball nut is my favorite flavor and it is seasonal. So get it while I can!
Sharon, what kind of boat is it? Will you post a picture? We have never had a boat, but lots of friends have and we have been treated to lots of fun times. My kids can water ski, but not me.

I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!

            Paula, February 22nd is correct.

Cookie, Mike sounds like a very good guy. Maybe Kathy will learn something from him.
