Morning all! I need groceries. I will get dropped at grocery store by my house. I am hungry for turky wraps and baby carrots.

Not a lot of plans for my week end other a little bit of baking for Sunday.

    Hi Everyone.

So much going on this week (daily trips to 2 different towns) that I have been jumping through hoops. The little computer time I get is spent working on the next Historical Assoc. newsletter.

Weather here has been so perfect that it's scarey. Wonder how much heat will hit us later.

Well, I have a new recipe for freshening furniture, and I want to mix and start spritzing.

    Have a very nice day.

Good morning to all, we got back from our camping adventure last evening...everything unloaded and put away. We were in amish land and it was so relaxing, just a slower pace of life and everything closes at 5:00 p.m. so they can go home to their families...love it, so many horse and buggies, they have a lane along side the highway for the horse and buggies....saw a great musical while there called "The Confession", it was a movie on lifetime so I knew the story but it was awesome being told in a musical...did a lot of shopping and had to have their soft pretzels...and the largest flea market for miles and miles, very neat and organized...but this morning need to leave have an appt. for my lab draw...so catch you all later...
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Good SUNNY Morning! We are FINALLY going to get some heat with some sunshine.

Yesterday was good. I got the PB & Samoa pies made & in the freezer. I then started icing sugar cookies. 5 doz are blue with the year written in yellow for a couple graduations. I then had to ice 2 doz circles to look like a tennis ball. Cooked a decent dinner. Then it was off to swim team practice. Blaise was so proud (as well as me) when he finally got brave enough to dive off the starting board. Next Thur is their first meet.

This morning I hope to finish icing the rest of the sugar cookies. I need 2 doz basketballs. Blaise only has a half day of school & should be home by noontime. We are then heading into town to go to Arby's, the library, Aldi's, and Mary's. I've got a list of items I need at Mary's. Mary's is a baking/party decorating store. All the local bakers know about it. We may actually take the cover off the pool. Cork went back to work today after a week off. Nobody here questioning my movements or lack of.

        Have a good one all!

Good cool morning from here! It will be partly sunny. Yesterday was rainy and chilly. I closed my windows last night and added a light blanket! There are still some puddles out back but the kids will be happy to go out. No pool today; it is just too cool. Water play is a lot of work and clean up: changing clothes, towels, suits afterward and stray socks, shirts to track down. Such is the life of daycare with 3-4 year olds! And my one guy who just turned 3 last month is Finally potty training!!! So I have to be able to run to the bathroom when he says Go!
I made a last ditch plea for tour tickets for the Capitol In Washington, DC, and actually got them!!! I called a friend who is an assistant for a State Senator who gave me the names of two different women to call and I got hold of one. She gave me the link to request tickets all the while telling me it may be too late. I managed to get in that it is my Political Science daughter's first trip to DC and her main wish is a trip to the Capitol And it will be my three Japanese American grandson's First US Fourth of July we will be celebrating...Who knows if any of that made a difference, but we got our tickets (all 7!) and for our first date!
Donna, we will be making the sugar cookies this weekend to take to some friends. You are right: they are just melt in your mouth good!
I wish I could have you pick up a few tings for me, Beth, when you go shopping. I am just tired of grocery shopping. I am out of a lotof my cleaning things and since Maye has got me using my Swiffer all the time now, I can't even think of going without it!
So, right after daycare I am going to the store and see if that makes my weekend easier. I really want to get everything I can to the pet shelter yard sale and Saturday and Sunday are my last two days for taking things.
Sharon, your photos were relaxing just looking at them. did you go to the Amish restaurant?
Well, probably a few have posted while I have been chatting away. I will read theirs and sign off.
Wishing you all a great day!.

Morning! It has been gorgeous here all week and, like Elaine, we are waiting for the heat to hit! Probably when we are gone. Yesterday I ended up traveling all over with Sierra over a damn pair of shoes she needed exchanged and the store did not have the right size so we drove on to another store that was holding the last pair in her size. This girl has small feet and has a hard time sizing so off we went...wasted the entire morning really cut into my schedule for the day. Soooo...today I am hustling. Sierra got a call from mommy dearest and she wants her to come visit the second week of July. Now get this...mommy is on vacation that week and wants to drive up and pick up Sierra and then she can fly back here. If mommy is making the trip why not just stay where her entire family is and visit a week? I ask her if she was going and she said she has no desire to go to Minnesota...ever. I don't know what she will do if pressured but I do know she said it was too bad the reunion week wasn't that week so she would have an excuse to tell her mom to screw it. The woman cannot live without causing drama. Tonight we have an early ball game and I really do not have the time but will be sitting there with my smile on. Andrew really likes having his own cheering section and we get a call if we are late for first pitch. Guess I could get started instead of thinking of all I have to do I should just get up and do it. Bunnies are back at the hostas to need to bring out the fox urine granules. i think they did work on those rodents! Have a great day all!

How did MD get a vacation week already? Sounds fishy to me. S. can also say that she used up her vacation time going to FL. OR a plain & simple No.

            Good morning, early birds.
Actually, I woke at 3, - too early,....so went back to bed. I woke when the A/C came on at 6. Then 20 minutes later I dragged myself out of bed and turned the temp up to 79, my usual.
Have my cuppa café caramel. Good. Doesn't need sweetening. I'll have breakfast in a bit.

E wants to work out today; while he's gone I'll shower. We pick up our new glasses this afternoon. We both ordered from the eye doctor, which we don't often do. Almost $1,000 together! Next time we'll take our prescriptions to EyeMasters. I tried COSTCO's eye department once. That was $400. Plus the gal doctor said something about macular degeneration and referred me to a doctor. The name of a doc I hated. She swore it must be someone else. So I went, and he WAS the guy I hated. We recognized each other immediately. He made comments about his "fixing" my retina.....it wasn't him that did it. He yelled at me in front of the whole waiting room as I left, the day I first met him, and it was simply because a WOMAN optometrist referred me to him at the time. (Now he works with women doctors.). I will never go back to that clinic....I still hate him & vice versa. And now I don't trust "blondie" because there's no sign of macular degeneration. I do see another retinal specialist annually, the guy who actually saved my eye from the retinal tear. But I digress...,

No other plans for today. It'll be 103° today, cooler tomorrow, then 3 days in the "cool 90's" before getting triple digits again. No rain in the forecast, though. I'd love another downpour like we had the other day.

Beth, sounds like a good meal.

Elaine, let us know the recipe for the furniture spritzer, will you please? I sure can use a good one.

Sharon, sounds like a perfect vacation! I wonder if there's any Amish out this way?😀

Cookie, busier than a bee you are.

Oh....I was surprised yesterday. I knew my brother had 2 packages for me, but didn't expect them til next week.
One was a Harry & David box of fruit, upscale condiments, crackers, and cheese. His personal box was 8 CD's of piano music (how I love good piano music!) by 3 different notable pianists. He was early this year, as my birthday is next week, immediately after Flag Day.

I don't usually like to talk about politics, but our president did our country no favors by pulling out of the French plan about "going green" to save our planet. (Other countries are having a field day writing about him.). But "going green" is important to saving our planet. Other countries have been highlighting their attractions with green lights. So E ordered energy saving green lights for our porches. I hope the neighbors notice, ask about it, and join in. It's a mild form of protest. End of rant.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day. ☀️

Oh Jo, my politics are no secret here and pulling out of the Paris Agreement is just one of my peeves, NATO another. It will take years to undo what he and his cronies are doing to this country.

I Lived in the Washington area twice growing up. My dad was stationed at Bethesda Naval hospital. We always saw lots of cars with flags on the front as well as the foreign visitors.
