Finally Friday

Good morning! 4 hours of work. 1 trip to Wal-Mart then home to wait to be picked up! It's family camping weekend...I am so excited!! This is the weekend I see a Lot of family I only see once a year.....tonight is just settle in. Tomarrow eating eating and more eating. Sunday fishing in the morning...more eating...Monday a huge breakfast I think! Then come home stopping to see my granny on.our way home. Not sure I will check in.

Good Morning! Looks like it's going to be another dreary wet one here. Blah!

Yesterday was good. Before going to meet Becca for lunch, I packaged up all the cookies I had baked all week that were on trays in 3 different freezers. Felt good to get that accomplished. The only cookie not decorated are the sugar cookies, but they are in the freezer waiting for attention.

Becca & I had a nice lunch at Applebee's. She then went her way & I went mine. I went grocery shopping. At Giant Eagle it was mostly picking up sale items that I had coupons to go with. Picked up a few items that we didn't necessarily NEED, but WANTED.....like Byer's ice cream....but it was on sale 4/$10! Came home to a msg from the restaurant for 4 pies & a carrot cake. After I got everything put away (especially that ice cream!), I slowly started working on the pies. I had 3 out of 4 of the pies in the freezer along with a naked carrot cake. I really don't like making the Oreo crusts....so messy. Ended up only making the pie that I needed, and put the other 5 Oreo crusts in the freezer to be filled next week.

Giant Eagle had corn on the cob for $.20 each, so I decided we were going to have it for supper to test it out. It was really good, so we'll be getting more. Must be from FL. YUM!!!! We'll be getting some for out picnic this weekend.

Today we could sleep in....no school for 4 days. HA! Woke at the normal time....GRRRR! This morning we are going to be straightening up around here before we head into town. Going to Arby's for lunch and getting Blaise one of those blessed fidget spinners. His goal was 4 green dojo's, and he reached his goal yesterday at school. A promise is a promise. Stopping at the Library too while in town. Their library has more book series for Blaise to read. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring. Personally I think we will have done enough by that point...what do you think? Laundry.....there is ALWAYS laundry.

Hot weather back here, after nearly freezing the day before.

Donna, I agree. Stop and smell the roses, or at least slow down a bit.

Company coming at 10, so I have a few things to do, but ALL windows and curtains finished!

I forgot early...when I got work yesterday they told me I had a whole extra department. Managed all of men's and all of kids for the most part. We are working really short right now. We can't seem to get and keep good help! Just when we think we got a good person they go and do something stupid like come to work under the influence.

My sis asked for an egg sandwich so I have one for her.

Good Morning, it is round up the trash day and get it out the door, which also means getting the litter boxes done early, making sure to check all the freezers for any containers I might have put in there waiting for trash day....does anyone else put their meat containers in the freezer until trash day so they do not stink? That thingamabob they put in the bottom to catch the blood and liquids can really stink after a day...so I put all of them in the freezer in a bag until trash day.

No plans today YET, yesterdays luncheon was really good, seeing a few friends that worked with hubby, and the lunch was delicious....had a speaker from IL about the Speedway market the things they have done with the stores, etc. and people complaining about the price of gas that most of the cost of gas is caused by all the taxes, wish I could have brought the chart home about what it cost versus what the oil companies really get after it is all said and done....and the biggest sale items in their stores, cigarettes.

Well time to find something to eat, trash is out, bed is made, still need to finish my cup of coffee and read the news....Hope everyone has a safe Memorial Weekend...

Had trouble posting this morning. 😐

Good morning.
Our anniversary plans had to be cancelled. I woke up about 3am yesterday, feeling so cold I was shivering big time.
I put a robe on and got back in bed. My shivering actually woke E, so he got out an electric blanket I forgot we had.
It seemed forever to heat up, but I fell back asleep as my shivering had slowed down. Slept til noon. Shivering had stopped, and I didn't feel cold any more, just tired. Had cereal and tea, couldn't keep my mind on reading, so slept the afternoon away. Had an Eggo and more tea. Watched some TV, but was back in bed by 7pm. Woke at 5 this morning. Doing much better today.
Today is our anniversary, we begin our 45th year together. We will be going out to breakfast when he awakes.
But we will have a quiet weekend at home. Whatever hit me yesterday really sapped my energy. (I hate having an impaired immune system!)

No other news here.

Well, of course our gas is up because of the holiday weekend...the cheapest is 2.99 a gallon. And we won't even mention taxes and gas in the same sentence unless you have a good 30 minutes to listen to what everyone thinks of that! Ugh! what the polititians put through!
It is nice this morning. About 64 when I took the dog out. Yesterday my air did not even come on. But the wind kicked in and that messed up the afternoon swimming plan. The water is a little cool and the wind just makes it cold to be in it.
Finally Friday and it is a three day weekend. Becky asked if we could volunteer to help put flags out at the cemetery. This is the first year the VFW has asked for help. Our Scouts usually go and put them out, so I am not sure why they are asking for volunteers but we are going. I have a great uncle who was a WWI veteran, but has no military symbols on his headstone. He usually does not get a flag placed on his grave, so we take one. this way we can be sure he gets one.
Becky has a dinner at a friend's house and is taking a Chinese chicken salad (the ramen noodle kind). I am trying to get tings organized for summer here and ready for the school girls who will be here next week! One school boy for a week, then he goes to the after school summer program until July. I don't mind. because I really don't have room for him at first.
I could sit here and chat all morning, but I better get moving. I did oneload of laundry early tis morning and need to change it and get the last load in.
I have Direct tv coming tomorrow to set us up. I have been making my bedroom more accessible and clearing out things I had been storing in there. Two of our favorite organizations are having yard sales this summer and I am trying to find things for them and keep them all in boxes in my room...but I need to slear out the wall space now.
