  • Wednesday ~ May 24 ~ Greetings~

    Good Morning.

Super cool (cold) here this a.m. Massive amounts of rain yesterday, but I did manage to get the yard mowed before the rains came down. Now, however, we have a whole new batch of limbs to deal with.

Got an air fryer yesterday. Today I need to figure out how to use it.

Hope you each have a very good day.

Good Morning Elaine and to all that pass this way today.

I have an appt. with the lab today, first one is my finger poke to check my blood levels with taken Warfarin and the second one is a blood draw because of a new medicine I am now on, it will be an every two week draw for now, then it will get stretched out once they have me adjusted...The Remicade infusions I have been doing for so many years is just not working anymore, no antibodies are holding...so onto another med but have to remain on the Remicade also because it will work in combination with the other one...all I know is how darn expensive they are...isn't it ridiculous what medicines cost?

Hubby has been busy everyday outside that it is nice, getting so many things taken care of, digging out some arborvitaes and replanting them somewhere else still have to remove one more tree then we will order what we need for a partial privacy fence...

So not much happening here, will have my coffee, read the news, fix a small bite to eat then get my shower and be ready to head out the door.

Has anyone tried the Sargento Balanced Breaks in the dairy isle? I love those things keep them in the fridge at all times, so quick to grab and eat..

Have a great day one and all....

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

good luck with the meds and appointments., I haven't noticed the Sargento product but will look for it.
My brother's insurance won't pay for his daughtr's Remicade, so they pay for our of pocket!

    Good Morning!

Yesterday was a good day. Felt good all day, which was an improvement from the day before. I spent the first part getting the house picked up. There were ladies coming for an organizational meeting at 1pm for JA day. Before they got here I did get the last batch of dough baked off & started putting finishing touches on 2 out of 4 of the baked cookies batches. After they left, I finished the other 2 kinds of cookies, then mixed up 3 more batches of dough. After Blaise went to bed, I baked 2 of those off. I just want to get this project DONE.

This morning I've already got pie dough mixed up. It'll be ready to roll out once Blaise leaves. I've got to bake a pie for the doctor's office this morning. Will deliver it once baked & hit up Aldi's while in town. Then it's home to bake off the Ladylocks dough and then fill them and the Gobbs. Then I think I'll be done. The lady that ordered wedding cookies is coming later this afternoon to pick them up, then I'll have more room in my freezer.

Blaise is going home with his friend Lawarence on his bus to attend his BD party. It's called Get Air Pittsburgh...a place of jumping & playing. So I won't see him until about 8pm. Guess I'll cook something Corky likes tonight.

Elaine....I want to know what you think of the fryer. I'm debating about getting one.

    Have a good one all!

I also need to go to walmart so I guess it will be a cab ride home for me...I am a day behind on everything that needs done for this weekend am also hoping for time to get a pedicure since I will be wearing sandles most of the weekend...if it doesn't happen then it doesn't....

There was another girl at work that tested positive for strep last night...there are others I am sure that have it too....lots of coughing and feeling yucky going around....I don't want anymore of it...

Good Morning! Sunny and cold this morning...rained some yesterday and again this afternoon. Boys got the pool up and the house is a mess with tracked sand. Sierra's boyfriend is a good worker but not a good shoe wiper. This afternoon I am off to house sit until Sunday so will not be around. It will actually be nice to be alone for a few days. Have books packed so hope it warms up enough to patio sit and just read. Need to get moving around here and make sure the laundry is caught up, run the vacuum and throw clothes in a suitcase. Not packing anything but every day things since I have no intention of leaving the property! Well, maybe a fast food run.... I want to be through St. Louis before rush hour so best start my chores to get out of here before 3:00. See you when I get home!

          Good Morning ..

well, DWTSs is over for this season.. the winner was not my favorite... was rooting for the baseball guy... or one of the two last girls.. the show was 2 1/2 hours long ...much too much!

Heading out for Aldis and Walmart shortly... don't need a lot, just some essentials...I'm not a "shopper".. don't go up and down aisle just looking.....if it isn't on the LIST... I don't hunt for it..

drive careful Maxie.. there are some crazy people on the highways these days.
Sassygirl... do you understand Cat Talk too?.. our K.D. makes definite sounds for what she wants.
Beth.. you still don't sound too good... don't over do.!!!.. ( don't you like the way I nag you )
Sharon,, hubby outside!!!. yea.. hey, privacy green fence are great. we have a bush of some kind that provides privacy on the one side of the deck... neighbors on their deck could have been able to see our every move.. so I make sure it gets sprayed and taken care of... the other neighbor is a widower and never home.. just the driveway . big field behind the house and the lady across the road.. a widow, hardly ever home. I like all of this .

          Hi Elaine and Donna.

will be back to read all later.
Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

Good warm morning. It was 76 inside the house this morning. I didn't check the outside temp yet, but have all the fans on and the windows and doors open.
ONe of my old daycare kids is coming over to swim today. they are selling their house and have it staged and not living there. They are living in a friend's mobile and found out the air does not work correctly...Erica posted yesterday it was 90 inside when she got home...I told her to come over and cool off. Then ran into her mom at the store after daycare and told her it was perfectly all right for both kids to come swim or just hang out. Both are competitive swimmers and I have known the family a long time. And had both of them in daycare.
I had a call for daycare yesterday for newborn twins! Of course, I don't and won't have room for them, but that is the way things are in REd Bluff right now. Such a shortage of daycare. And you just can't go into it for the money. those providers burn out fast or just stop getting calls. My tentative plan is that I will continue until Becky graduates from Chico State in a couple of years. I am so thankful lmy health has held up.
Ok, I better get on with it. Two toddlers today and I need to get some activities set up for my outside time.
Hope your plans go well and you al feel good!
Elaine, let us all know about the air fryer. Although, where I would put another small appliance is beyond me!

              Good morning, everyone.
I have "rain envy" of those of you getting rain. Geez, I'd love to see rain here on a more regular basis. *sigh*
Today it's a nice 73° now, but is supposed to get up to 102° today. 🌵 Tomorrow, back to the hi-90's again.

Today we pack a suitcase for our anniversary trip. We will be back sometime late Saturday. Meanwhile, if I fail to check in here for the next few days, you'll know we're occupied or the hotel wifi stinks. 🤗

Elaine, I'd like to hear more about that air fryer, what you can/can't do with it. I'd like Indian Fry Bread without the grease. Also old recipes for fried cookies and donuts.

Sharon, I don't think medications cost 1/10th of what they charge for them. But you're paying for their labs, their knowledge, their paychecks (sports car, vacations). And because they can get away with that. You can only ask for a lower cost version of the prescription from you doctor, or else order the prescriptions from Canada. My nephew goes there to get diabetes drugs; and another MI friend has a Canadian prescription mail order service.

Have a good day, everyone! ☀️

Sharon, forget my tongue-in-cheek comment on medication costs.
In a separate post, I posted AARP's current report on the subject.
They give you all the details.
