    Good Morning.

Well, yesterday was MUCH better than the day before. We had musical guests at church and 66 people came! We usually have around 25, so it was rocking and rolling - except that they play classical - 3 violins and a cello. Odd how such an old church has the perfect accoustical environment. The musicians raved about how it sounded. Glad I took a cake. It was entirely consumed.

Much tornado damage through 3 counties. 5 killed and 59 sent to hospital. One of the area schools was holding its prom in a convention space. The prom was cancelled and thank goodness because the structure took a bad hit. The worst I've heard about was a wedding that was being held at a home that was blown apart. Oddly, the home owners build storm shelters and they had one. However, not everyone would fit. So some who were forced to stay in other areas were injured, one killed, one lost a foot. Help had to be called to dig folks out of the storm shelter. Beyond disasterous.

Blood test for us today. Hoping John's hemoglobin has not fallen too much. A few other chores in town and then home. We have the heat on. It is COLD!

Have a good day, Everyone. I'm hungry for cherries for some reason, JO!

Good Morning! It's to be a wet dreary one here today and most of the week.

Yesterday was good. Got 8 doz sugar cookies baked. Yummy horseradish potato salad made for cards. We had a good time playing cards & good food.

This morning I need to get at least 6 doz cookies iced for my customer coming later today. Becca has an eye appt in Butler later this morning, and I'm hoping I'm done icing so I can go in & meet her for lunch. I do plan to go to Aldi's. I had well over 20 bags of pwd sugar, and I'm down to 4 bags now.

    Have a good one all!

BTW...does anyone have an air fryer? How do you like it?

I got one for all the kids, have really heard back from one of them and they love it...didn't ask them what they had used it for...after seeing there's I came to the conclusion that no more than I would use one with the two of us just will pass on it...just another things to find a spot for in the pantry.

The sun is shining! Such a welcome relief even if the furnace is also back on. Elaine I saw your storm damage on the news..how horrible. Right now we are not getting much news on storm damage because of the flooding. The area rivers are going to crest at record levels this week. My gauge says 6.5 inches but Scott in Southern Missouri had 7.5. So much rain over a weekend. Also not a good sports day around here...Cardinals lost and the Blues also. And then Sierra had car trouble Friday which was fixed then the check engine light came on yesterday so her car is parked at the dealer for whatever repair and she has my car. I had to cancel my 6 month appointment with the dermatologist and could not get in until August. Holy Cow! What takes so long for appointments? Anyway that is my news. I cannot get to the grocery store so they are having something with hamburger and no salad tonight. Very windy out so that will help dry things out. Anything without rain is going to make for a good day around here!

Happy May Day! sunshine and 80's are predicted and that means I started watering our yard this weekend. We really didn't get enough rain last week to water it and I saw the neighbors had their sprinklers going Saturday morning so I got all mine set up. I watered the back play yard really well after we got home from the airport. today I can move the sprinkler around the pool side of the yard...
My mother got to my brother's ok. He texted me a picture of her at 11:30 pm our time, so it was a very long day for her. I can sleep on any flight I have, no matter how short or long. I hope she was able to doze a bit.
I made a small batch of chocolate chip cookies last night. Glad I found a recipe perfect for just the two of us...and I am not eating any more than the one I ate yesterday.
Elaine, the tornado news is awful. Prayers for that wedding group.
Donna, if you are making the Amish sugar cookies, I totally envy the recipients! I love those cookies!
Thanks, Jo, for the information on the cherries. I never think of cherry preserves, for some reason.
Bless your day and everyone in it!

        Good morning.
A sunny morning here, currently 55° but heading to the high 80's today.

Today I have a follow up appointment with one of my doctors. (Actually, his very able assistant.) I expect he'll be explaining my MRI & CT Scan, and the blood test today.
Ian beginning to hate appointment reminders. I get the appointment set up. They make the little change, my choice, to see doc on another day or keep original appt but see the assistant. I made my choice. They call again in person to confirm it. I get a robo call to confirm it. I get MyChart reminders in which I confirm it. Then another robo call. Then another robo call which I ignore. I check MyChart again to be sure it's still confirmed. Now, isn't this a bit much?

Well, my mocha is brewing. Ill have my cups, then shower and find an outfit for today.
No other plans today. I have no idea how long I'll be there, or what the waiting time will be. I count on doing nothing else on appointment day. If it turns out I'll have free time, it's a bonus.

Cookie, I think Sharon has an air fryer. I asked one day how it was, what it can or cannot do. Guess she didn't see it.
I'd like to go to BBB and see if I can check it out....I'm sure it was advertised there, and I have their coupons which never expire.

To alll, hope your day goes well. ☀️

This is not letting me edit to make additional comments. Ergo, another thread.

Maxie, feel free to send the excess rain clouds our way. I'd really welcome it!
Elaine, am so sorry to hear about the extensive damage, deaths and injuries there . I recall seeing my first tornado 🌪 in Amarillo. I was not quite 19 yet, never having seen this kind of weather. The skies were black with the weather rolling in, and it looked like the end of the world to me. Our apartment complex sent everyone to the airport for shelter. Inside, it sounded like a few freight trains going over our heads. Our apartments were all intact afterwards. O-Boy, though, it was scarey!
          Paula, you're welcome. 😊

            I HATE SURPRISES!
They decided to do another bonemarrow biopsy on me today.
The good news is that their BEST "biopsier" is here today to do it. Otherwise it'd be a practicing nurse --- big ouch to that!!!
            More later....

              good evening

one of those days.... moving in slow motion.... David wanted to take car out to car wash , and spray long & hard in the wheel wells.. going to spray rust oleam Paint to help keep rust to a minimum.. so i drove him out..went to library,,, return the pile of books we read over the weekend.. will order more real books if I see any I want to read..

one light load of laundry.. and made up a batch of home made laundry soap.. can't remember who put that recipe on here years ago.. but I have made my own for a long time... I am allergic to most of the scents in almost all laundry soaps... and the homemade is cheap to make .. and cleans every bet as well as any Tide.. just has no smell..

had a real whopper of a storm.. took the tv off the air for a bit... elec blinked off/on about 4-5 times but did not stay off. maybe have another one or two of those before the night is over.

Hi to you all... see you in the morning ..
Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.
