Will come home and nap...I have nursery duty at church tonight...the new babies...which is the only age group I really want to work with...

I am beginning to plan a mini vacation in October...going to Illinois to assist with a hot air balloon event....I have helped with this event twice and didn't get to help last year...am hoping to get the day off on that Monday..even if i don't get Monday I can still go to the event and help..I just won't get to spend the day with my parents on that Monday...

It looks like I will be cooking supper at 2 maybe 3 night next week for my parents and nieces. My sister and brother in law are going to normondy France with his parents and sister& husband brother and wife...They are going enjoy just not having to work on the house for a week. One night I am making a roast with potatoes carrots and onions....naked cup cakes and strawberries. The 2nd meal I will prepare is tacos and the 3 one will spagetti garlic bread salad and brownies and ice cream

Good Morning...sun is shining, a light breeze, a bit on the chilly side but 63 degrees. Up and atem this morning, heading south to GA. I have had so much going on since Hawaii that my head is still spinning (and hurting) don't know what day it is most times...Dr. did add another blood pressure med, my blood pressure has went up, he said, "got your heart rate down and back in rhythm and now the blood pressure goes up". Hubby and I both said since we came back from Hawaii that we can't get our 'timing' back, even he said he doesn't know what day it is..

Guess I will strip the beds and wash sheets when we get back, no not then, then I must start baking cookies and making large bowls of potato salad and coleslaw for the guys on the yearly fishing trip...I will have three days then the hubby will be gone a week...I might need that week to relax, LOL...taking my time this morning, will drive a ways today, spend the night and finish the trip in the morning...usually go for about 7 hrs. then save the other 3 hrs. for the next day...can't wait to see my grandgirls and give them their dresses from Hawaii and necklaces...and some Hawaiian chocolates...

Well no more news here, time to get a bite to eat, get my shower, make my bed, get dressed and pack a bag..
Will check in if and when I can or see ya when I get back...

Happy trails until we meet again...

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Good Morning! It's cloudy now, but the sun & heat are suppose to arrive later. Yesterday was dreary & energy draining all day.

My energy my have been drained, but I kept plugging along. I made the strawberry marshmallow cake again. It tasted much better. FINALLY made up the 4 PB pies. Tried the new Brownie Salted Caramel Cups...a keeper for sure. The caramel filling needs a bit of tweaking since it was too thin for my liking. Then made the Elderberry pie for the doctor's office. Cooked dinner then collapsed.

Blaise decided he wanted scrambled eggs for part of his dinner & he made them all by himself (sort of). He told me they tasted better than mine....no offence Grandma. Fine by me. He ate them all. He then made them for himself this morning. If that'll get his protein in him, I'll let him make them every day. He also helped make his chicken last night & he ate all of that too.

Today I need to make 2 Ho Ho cakes for an order later this week. I think I'll get things prepped before I leave to deliver the pie and meet Becca for brunch. This evening I need to load up my car with the supplies for Saturday's cooking day at the church. I'll unload it tomorrow when I go to Bible study.

      Have a good one all!

        Good Morning.

Donna, I am going back to bed after reading all you do. That is so cute about Blaise. Looks like he's taking after you.

Nothing happening here. A little house cleaning and a little cooking. Need to get out and pick up limbs, but it's drizzling rain, so that will have to wait.

Hope all is well. Any news from Darla?

Have a good day, my Friends.

Oh dear, Jo. I just read yesterday's posts. Your poor nephew. You just don't have a chance on a motorcycle when something gets in the way. Hope his recovery is quick.

Good morning...no sun but it looks like no rain either even though the weather guy said it stormed last night. I missed that or slept through it. I have been sleeping so good lately but am always ready to go to bed at night. Hockey starts up again tonight and baseball...I turned off the game in the ninth last night and went to sleep! Was looking for chicken this morning but am guessing we have none since I could not find any...trip to the grocery and maybe I will find something to pick up for tomorrow. Did not go me shopping yesterday...the sun shined just right in the kitchen window and I got a glimpse of what was lurking under the table so I stayed home and ran the vac. Seems to me I used to make a recipe with chicken and rice and cheese but I cannot find it. Andrew is the champ of grilled cheese Cookie. He loves making his own sandwich but Sierra learned on scrambled eggs. In fact that is probably all she CAN cook. For Jon's diet we are making jello several times a week and Andrew has taken that over too. Easy peasy but a beginning... So I am off to do whatever today. Find meat for supper anyway. I will buy chicken but have no idea what to do with it..Sharon enjoy your trip. This retirement thing has kept you going. Beth I am looking forward to the balloon glows starting up this summer. They were so pretty and much fun! Elaine your rain seems to end up being our rain down the road. Kinda sick of rain but am amazed at how fast things get dry. Have a happy wednesday all! Let's Go Blues!!!!

It is a good morning here: I am up, dressed and the trash trucks have already picked up. That is a good start to the day.
We have cloudy skies and not sure what will happen. We have had two days of great weather and I am happy for that. Yesterday while the kids were playing and the toddler was busy driving in one of the little cars, I was able to sweep and found some cut leftover fence posts that I will use to define the sand area. I had cleared out and organized the storage shed I have for the lawn mower and tubs of stuff...and have thrown away a lot of it! I am getting ready to clear out my storage unit and will donate some and bring whatever I want to keep to the metal shed here. Some of it belongs to a friend and I am just tired of the storage facility raising prices: 4 times in the last year. The one question I would ask when I took anything to storage was: Why am I keeping this and When will I use it again? The furniture that is in it belongs to Becky and she has decided she will give it away to a couple of friends. Our Christmas tree and luggage are the only things that we regularly go get...and I think I can make better use of the space here at home and money I am spending on the unit. It is a tax deduction, but I have enough of those!
                I sure went off there..
Donna, I think I will have to order the Brownie salted caramel cups whenever I make my next order with you! They sound wonderful!
I think that is great that David gets to work a bit at the sawmill. His years of experience are still with him.
I have towels and washcloths in the washer and the throw rugs go next. I don't like to have the washer going when parents are coming in; I don't want to give them the idea that I do housework when I should be with their children. Just me and my worries/thoughts!
Have a great day and give yourself a break or treat or whatever to reward all the things you do for others!

                  Good morning.
I'm having eggos for breakfast, and my mocha. Quick & easy. E is on his own, and will have to make his own breakfast.
I have to shower and do something with my hair. This morning I go to the cancer center to have my port set up, for the MRI I'll be having at the facility down the road first thing this afternoon.

Elaine, they haven't released nephew from the hospital yet. He has to have his mobility back first.

Later today I'll probably start the laundry. E can fold it. I'll hang up my stuff. E feels good as I showed his how to do some of these chores. If I don't load/unload the dishwasher, he does it. If anything happens to me, he can take care of himself.
He scrubs pots and pans these days, because I don't care for that chore.

This morning I'm more light-headed than usual. My balance is affected. But as soon as it passes I'll get to the shower and begin my day.

Still awaiting word on the birth of our 9th great-grand baby. This ones a boy, for sure, and will be named Owen.

Sharon, you may have "jet lag". It keeps you off-kilter for a while. 😄

Cookie, it's good to teach the boy to cook. E can cook a few simple things, but will tend to get frozen dinners.
My girls all taught their sons to cook. My son can cook and grill.

                  Not much else new here.
                  Have a super day! ☀️

Looks like Maye, Maxi, Paula & I were all typing together. I got a "working" tag when I posted, but nothing happened. I waited and still nothing happened. Then I copied my post....good thing I did....and my original post disappeared. But I had the copy to repost it.
