Good SUNNY Morning! and HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Yesterday was fun in the kitchen. I assembled the cakes & they turned out looking just like the pic on FB. Hope they taste as good as they look. Decorated 6 doz cupcakes, arranged cookies, and Easter Egg basket. I was finally done around 2pm with everyone else's stuff. My cousin Karen has YET to pick up her order. Silly girl. Had a surprise visit from my cousin Diane & her husband. He had gotten a couple lamps from an auction he was at and they gave them to us for Becca since their daughter didn't want them.

This morning we went to sunrise service in the Cemetery at the church I grew up in. My brother Ray stood with us like he does every year. It was the PERFECT morning for it. We normally freeze and can never get close to the fire they have going. Today you almost didn't even need a jacket. It was a beautiful service. You walk there in the dark and come back during the sunrise.

Now it's time to start getting my Easter meal stuff started. The ham in on and next is the cake & pies. I'm also taking fresh green beans. Becca called to wish me a Happy Easter. There definitely is a nap somewhere in my day. We are going to my brother Tom's house. My SIL family has been invited too. It's just getting to be too much for her Mom to do it. Of course her brothers are being turds and not coming. A SIL and their daughter's family are coming though. The daughter's son is the same age as Blaise, so they'll have the Easter egg hunt for them. We'll do that before the meal.

    Have a blessed day!!!!

Good Morning, and Blessed Easter to All!

Church at 9 and then home to spend with company. Spent most of Friday evening playing CodyCross with my niece. I introduced it to her, and now she's addicted.
It's been a long weekend of eating and visiting, and everyone will go to church together.

Donna, your sunrise service sounds perfect! Wish we could do something like that here.

Spent too much time watching April's new baby yesterday, but it was so fun to see new life begin.

      Have a beautiful day!.

Happy Easter everyone! Yesterday was one of the best days in a long time. I h started my day with breakfast with my parents and uncle....mom took me for a hair cut and shoe shopping. Then I met friends for lunch. Then we all sat outside for a couple hours visiting. Ended my afternoon and day just being at my parents.

I am currently waiting for breakfast to be done...my mom is making pancakes and bacon.

Mom daddy and I will go church then home for a lunch of meat loaf roasted potatoes and carrots and crescent rolls.

I hope to see my best friend at church.

This afternoon later in the day daddy will take me home. I will be glad to see my kitty. Sad to leave mom and dad though. It's so relaxing to be here.

Good Easter Sunday Morning to all...I have returned...We returned Friday evening took all day yesterday to get my bearings back and my clock readjusted...We had a wonderful time, we went with a group of 43 through TRAFALGAR, and let me tell you they keep you moving almost all the time, a few free times, but most of the time doing something, we saw a lot of things...2 nights on Honolulu at Waikki Beach Marriot Resort Honolulu, 2 nights on Kona at Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay, 3 nights on Lahaina at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, 3 nights on Lhue (Kauai) at Aqua Kauai Beach Resort, which was the end of the tour and we paid to stay an extra day just to really relax and enjoy...and we did...

The highlight of the trip for me was to visit Pearl Harbor and see the museum, watch all about the invasion and see the events leading up to it, and next would be going up 10,000 ft. above see level to watch the sunrise with a native calling the Gods and waking up with the sunrise...very sacred grounds...but it was so darn cold and wind gust up to 30 miles per hour...Got to attend a luau with the pig cooked in the ground and them bringing it out, to all their foods, the hula dancers and so much more, one thing I can say on this tour there was no lack of food...a lot of history on those islands, the only thing I did not like was all the open doors that let all the chickens and birds inside especially where I am eating... My brother in law who is deathly afraid of chickens was not relaxed at all while eating...and roosters that crow all day long. It reminded me of when Erin would post pictures of Key West and all the chickens running free...watch out for bird poo... Was wonderful to share those days with my sister and brother in law.

Well enough of that for a day or two...glad to be back home, the kitties sure are glad also, but the two people that care for them gave them special attention, spent some nights here, etc. to keep them from being stressed and it worked..Today it will be just the hubby and I, will bake a ham, made potato salad yesterday, will fix green beans, and something else which I have not decided on yet...probably baked beans...dinner rolls to go with it all...

Have a blessed Easter one and all, may we never forget the reason we celebrate it...

Happy Easter Everyone! Sounds like it is beautiful where you all are. Sunny here, too. But Becky was up all night sick....instead of having my mother over here, I will take dinner to her. There is some awful stomach virus going around and she needs to stay away from it. Not sure how because Beckyis over there every day helping her...
Sharon, your trip sounds wonderful. We stayed at the Marriott Ko'Olina Beach resort and the dancing, luau and most of all, the beach were just perfect.
church will probably be well attended. The flowers we planted Wednesday will be a surprise as there has never been anything in front of the building other than agapanthas. And they aren't blooming now. I didn't buy an Eater lily to take to church, either. I went to Walmart twice yesterday and another store but just didn't walk in by them, I guess.
The Texas sheet cake I made for the shelter dinner yesterday was well appreciated. When I picked Becky up at 8:00pm, two of the guests came out to tell me thank you.
Have a wonderful day with your family and friends. Have a blessed Easter!

Happy rainy Easter from Illinois and welcome home Sharon! Since I chucked all Easter goodwill with family I will have a hot dog at the arena and watch the Blues play. My sister and her entire family will be there so a lot of us ditched the traditional Easter dinner today and yes, I do feel guilty...at little. Already heard from Scott this morning and he is having dinner with friends. Jon insists he has a list of chores for today but this rain is just an excuse for him to sleep the afternoon away. He is running to see Andrew and give him his Easter so if I know Drew's mother he will not be alone and will go way off his diet! Jon spoke to the concrete guy yesterday and we are tweaking his plan a bit and it is not going to add much to the cost...thank you! Just wish it would stop raining long enough to dry out the porch so we can paint. Have a wonderful day and hope the suns shines warm and bright on your plans.

Good morning, and HAPPY EASTER to you all! 💐🐇

Well, I've had my mocha, 2 handfuls of jelly beans 🐇, and read today's paper. When E awakens, we'll have a proper breakfast.

Sharon, welcome home! I love those photos. Never been to Hawaii, but from pictures I've seen it looks beautiful, like a paradise I guess. Glad you had a good time.
Hey, I made your sausage recipe, with a couple of dietary tweaks, and it's really wonderful! E said it's the best sausage he has eaten. I agree.

Maxie, rain????? Today???? I hope it clears up quickly for you. Besides, WE need that rain more than you do. 😄

Hope you all have a really great day! 💐
