      Good RAINY Morning!

Yesterday was good. Wasn't very productive though. Came home from Bible study and just puttered around. Cork had to work overtime a couple hours. Did come home from BS to a msg from the restaurant with an order for 3 pies & a carrot cake. I had them all in the freezer & just had to ice the CC, so it wasn't a big deal. Dropped them off and ran into Saxonburg to pick up a Rx, some library books, and a couple items at Friedman's. I also dropped off some cookies at the nail salon as samples. That's where I've got my most customers from.

I did see Shawna yesterday when stopping in at the nail place, but she was busy. Yes, Aunt J I did see the news yesterday, so now I don't have to keep the secret to myself...yea! She didn't tell me though since she was busy. I'm so excited for her. She'll be as good a mom as her mom is/was. Can't think all those fumes will be good or easy for her though.

Today I'll be living in the kitchen. Becca is coming down for dinner to celebrate her 22nd birthday. I'm cooking one of her favorite meals and making her lemon bars & pumpkin roll. Think I'll call my Mom to see if she wants to come for dinner too. I also have to bake cupcakes for a birthday order for tomorrow. They want them decorated like basketballs...should be interesting. I made basketball sugar cookies for his classroom treat. Now the cc are for his BD party tomorrow. Best get busy!!!

Have a good one all! Safe travels Sharon!!!!!!

        Good Morning! beth, have fun!

Congratulations, Janet! A new baby. Wow!

Can't believe Becca is 22. She must have been about 7 when we met her. Time is out of control.

Hi Jo! Hi Paula! Hi sassy! My cat is naked when he's not in the bath. LOL

Well, had a busy day yesterday. Home visit from Human. Turned out to be one of my old students, and we had a ball with her. She was here about 2 hours! Didn't want to mess up the kitchen, so we had lunch at DQ before they came. Have not been there in years. 3 tacos. Yum! maxie, our DQ does not make pizzas. Wish they did.

Nephew and his helpers are building a new fence around our house. I don't like the look of it, but what can you do? It's more about keeping the cows in than making the yard look good, I guess.

Dr. appt at 9 to get meds reordered.

        Have a good day!

        Good morning everyone.

We had thunder boomers yesterday, about all day. Got my injection yesterday, then just sat/laid around all day. Today I'm doing my laundry, so still "mild" work.

But tomorrow, I want to roll my yard. It has a few "bumps" in it. I don't know if all the starlings have eaten all my grass seed that I threw out last fall. Don't believe it has been warm enough to germinate the seed, so I can't really tell if I'll have new grass or not.

Hope all have a great day.

Good Morning to all...a very wet and chilly one out there...tomorrow more of the same, will leave in pants and wish I had shorts on when I get there, LOL...lightweight jacket will do..we will probably head that way mid day tomorrow, will stay in motel by airport with shuttle service our son will take us and then keep our car and pick us up when we return.

Donna its hard to believe Becca being 22 I can actually say 'where have the years gone' she has done so well...proud of her..

Well today is trash day, rounding it up an heading it out, LOL....hubby is cooking us some breakfast I will then get a shower and get busy, we need to buy a few things to take with us to munch on because it is a long flight, also need to find a few other things then will finish up my packing...

Yesterday was spent doing laundry and cleaning the house, I dusted and cleaned bathrooms, he ran the sweeper and mopped the kitchen, sunroom, hallway, utility room and front entryway...like to leave with a clean house...this morning cleaning out the fridge..

Time to get this day started, have a good day, closer to spring because I am hearing the birds early in the mornings..

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

          Good morning.
It looks like there was rain in the wee hours. That's good - we can use it. The sky is overcast, so maybe more rain later? Today & tomorrow will be in the mid 60's.
I can actually feel this cold letting up. Only a little sinus drainage going on today, and not too much coughing. That's a relief!

Not much happening here. Just getting areas cleaned up, inside and outside.but not so much outside work today. I plan to clip some bottom branches off the trees. The branches are still small, not thick, so no problem for me.

          Sharon, have a good vacation!
Cookie, happy birthday to Becca. They do grow up fast!
Janet, new babies are always a delight, aren't they!
Jostoy, be careful with the yard work. Stay well !!!!!!
Elaine, you seem to run into former students fairly often. That's so nice!
Beth, enjoy your camping trip this weekend.
          Hi Sassy!

Guess I'll have a hot cuppa whatever today.

Hope you all have a super-duper day! ☀️

Guess what? It is raining again! Weatherman says it has rained 17 days this month and I'll bet the other 13 did not produce much sun. We had almost 2 inches of rain yesterday with a couple of gully washers! Went grocery shopping but did not get a stock up done like I wanted. Jon took off with his cart for his lunch supplies and Andrew stayed with me to push the cart but then would push it off to find his dad and I was left standing in the aisles cart less. Sierra always comes on Friday's for lunch between class and work so I will make her go with me and then she can haul them in. Making stew for supper so that will be easy, especially since Andrew has another early dismissal. No plans for the weekend. Sunday is opening day plus a hockey game in the afternoon. My favorite two sports in the same day....that is hog heaven! I am thinking we will do the St. Louis Bread Company for lunch...soup and a sandwich sounds good for some reason already this morning. Been up since 3:00 so already had my supple of coffee and am thinking of lunch. Ordered a couple of shirts from Kohl's that came in yesterday and the material is so flimsy...but they fit. I have had such a torrid love affair with food this winter I am shocked anything fits me at all. I should be in giant tent size but can brag to say I am still in last summers pants. Have a headache, probably due to lack of sleep or to much coffee so need to work on that. Sharon, have a wonderful trip and I envy you so much. Elaine, running into old friends is special. Beth, enjoy your camping weekend,,,suppose to be nice tomorrow. Where do you go? Cookie, a carrot cake sounds delish! You are so organized to have these things frozen and ready to go. Anything frozen around here means it needs cooking! Hope your back starts to get relief Jostoy...you work way to hard. Raining here too Sassy, but suppose to be nice Saturday then back to rain Sunday. Have a great Friday everyone. I'm going to turn on the crock pot and then have lunch and head back to the grocery for an adult shopping trip!

Maxie, my son in Wa. said it has rained so muych and been so overcast that one of the teachers at his school posted on Facebook asking all her friends if they had sunshine out to take a picture and post it for her! She tagged the people at school and Stuart said there were pictures form all over including one from Hawaii! There was proof that the sun does come out somewhere!!

Happy Friday here! It is going to be windy again with gusts up to 35mph, but Becky doesn't have school today (the CA State U's didn't take off President's day but they take off Cesar Chavez Day) so she is taking two of our dogs to get caught up on shots and that means a bordetella and a parvo so they can be kenneled in June when we go to Maryland. Rabies are all up to date. Our vet no longer boards pets so I had to find a new place...and before they will reserve the kennel, they have to see the shot record. So, this is why the rush on getting the proof and getting the reservations for over the July 4th week!
Finally, my new treadmill is getting assembled today. And the old is being hauled away. Becky found out a friend from high school has a handyman service and said he would be able to do it. I remember him form Spencer's Little League days! Anyway, the other guy I had is so slow in getting back to me and then leaves dearly before the jobs are done and stretches them out so long, I am ready to try someone else!
I have a daycare room that I want painted, but not if it takes a couple of weekends!
I don't mean to sound so negative.
I got some new handheld grass clippers and can't wait to start cutting some grass that is growing around the slide area and inside the climbing structure. I don't have a weed eater but this should work when the weather is nice and I can take my time...on Mondays and Tuesdays when I have only the one toddler, it should also be easy to sit and clip. We'll see...
The weekend camping sounds fun, Beth! the reward of a hard work week.
And Sharon, I can't wait to see the photos form your trip and hear all about it. Have fun!
I am excited to see Stuart and his family on Monday. Even though we will be eating out, I think we will have some baked goodies for them to take with them on the road the next day.
Hope the day goes well for you all!
Donna, I have a friend who loves carrot cake and I decided after reading about yours to make her one...And as soon as I decide on when we will be celebrating Becky's Shasta college graduation (AA) I will be ordering some cookies. Even though she is at Chico continuing she and a friend both decided to walk in the ceremony and recognize the work they have done. Both are older students returning to school and I think that is great!
            Sassy, love the graphics!
I love the pictures I get in my mind of what things are going on in your lives!
