  • Saturday March 18th.....It's the WEEKEND!!!!!

Good Morning! It's a dreary one here with little to no chance of sunshine today. BLAH! We've had beautiful sunny days lately, so I'll remember them.

Yesterday was good. I felt good. Sue & I iced about 22 doz sugar cookies together. We weren't quite on our A game together, but we still had fun, joked, and laughed together. After she left, I had to make more icing and finish the last 7 1/2 doz myself. They aren't all claimed, but I now have extra in case someone else orders. Dinner was each-for-his-own. Blaise was trying to teach me how to play Plants vs Zombies. Cork actually stayed up and we watched the last 2 recorded episodes of NCIS.

Now this morning I have to finish cleaning up the kitchen. Cork helped some, but there is still more. Icing & decorating are messy. I tried taking Blaise to the library after school yesterday, but here they close at 3pm on Fridays, so we are going to try again this morning. I want to get that front room cleaned up.

Heard from both girls yesterday via texting. Kathy actually ask to have Blaise tomorrow for the better part of the day. WOW!!! She'll pick him up after SS at the church when we are leaving. Then my SIL texted asking about cards tomorrow night. Still needed a 4th person, so I asked Becca and she said she's in! It'll be fun.

    Have a good one all!

    Good Morning.

Donna, all of your good news made me feel FABULOUS! I love it!

Our weather here is gorgeous. Cold yesterday morning, so John started a fire. By mid evening, I was burning up. LOL So today no fire. Wish we could open the windows.

    No plans. Just normal stuff.

    Have a lovely Saturday. <3

Good morning..I am hoping for a nap before I clean the house....Cori had me up around 1. I don't know what was going but it was like the devil himself was in her...she was going crazy!! that went on for an hour or two and I never really got rested after that...

I may get to see my mom today and pick up my new 10 inch tablet...not sure yet...depends on what they are able to accomplish at my sisters....WE are all so SICK and TIRED of that house and working on it...We all will be so glad to see the day that its finished...it sure will be pretty when its done but I am afraid we still have a while.

Yesterday was a really great day....a good way to finish a longggg week...I worked in the morning and that was ok....then I volunteered the rest of the day at the Adult day care...some of the people that are a part of my churches volunteer organization brought pizzas in for lunch and we did are projects the rest of the day.....

Good rainy morning here! So no worries about the lawn getting dry, but the grass will not be mowed, either. Why didn't I do it right after daycare before my nail appointment?
today is a no appointment day with normal errands. I do want to take a drive down to Corning and see the dog groomer/kennel there.
I have to figure out how to make this font larger. Typing is so hard at this size.
I have some projects to finish up, Beth, for the dog shelter and I will be starting a quilt with the teenage girls at church. ONe of them is moving in May to Virginia and we want to make a throw sized quilt with all the other gilrs' signatures on it. I have the top done, white squares for the names, bordered with strips of blue calico with little yellow flowers.
this ofnt is killing me. No more desk top posting until I figure it out.
'Hope you all have a great day!

Paula do you click on the Large A that when you scroll over it it says Toggle Advanced Editor? Then you can chose the font, size, etc. Or if you are reading just click somewhere in the blank areas, then hold down the ctrl key and hit the + key.

Sounds like most of us are cleaning today. I did get the shower curtain hung yesterday and the old one washed. Sierra found her bras at Kohl's and I picked up a couple also...that 30% coupon didn't go as far as I thought it would! Now I still need to talk myself into trying on last seasons capri's. I'm scared! Yesterday was a pretty day with much warmer temps...Andrew had early dismissal and was out until dark. We had a left over night and you ate when and what you wanted. Cleaned out the fridge and filled up the dishwasher. Need to get moving since I not only intend to vacuum but mop as well. Maybe even dust and water the plants! Big day for the plants today!! Nothing else so no excuse not to get started. Also going to change the couch pillows for brighter colors. Oh, yeah, I'm going all out today! Have a great Saturday all!

          Good morning.
Had trouble signing in this morning. It refused to recognize my password! So I finally changed it. The day hasn't started out good for me.
Well, yesterday E did get the front blinds fixed. He struggled a bit getting the curtains back up. I wondered why he didn't bring in the ladder to hang things back up. Oh well. I kept my mouth shut to avoid any arguments.
Paula, I made the colcannon dish, and we both loved it! Now if only I could find a recipe for Irish soda bread for a 3/4 lb loaf, I'd be happy. I have that West Bend small-loaf bread maker.
No real plans for today. Yes Maxie, I plan to get some chores done today, too. I've already loaded the dishwasher and washed the pans I used yesterday. E usually scrubs the pans, but maybe he will find another chore to do today.
We received our friend's manuscript, and I've started reading that. Making notes for commenting to him when I'm done. It's interesting to learn how he balances his life between Maine and the Philippines, 6 months in each home these days. Two totally different cultures.
Today, according to the TV weather report, today we should get a record-breaking 95° --- however, my iPad weather app hasn't wavered a bit from saying 92° for today. So by tonight I'll find out which is more accurate. But, in short, this is 🌵 desert country, and it's going to be hot. This is the earliest we've ever had 90° this past week. 😅
Lastly, I need to call for a haircut appointment this week. I may or may not be going to a baby shower for our 9th great-grand brat, who will be a boy this time. I'm not at all close to the GD who's PG, she is the one who never replies to emails or snail-mail notes I've sent, and she's so much more interested in her husband's family than ours. Despite my difficult health year of 2016, she was the one kid who never said a peep to me about anything. So I have to decide whether to give a darn about her or whether to keep the family in mind. Frankly, Scarlet, .........(is how I feel at the moment. Will discuss this with E; he's a clearer minded person than I am, in such matters.

And with that, I need to get my day in gear, as most of you will be doing. Maye, if you're able to read this, Happy Camping weekend!

Everyone, have a super-duper satisfying day!

Good Late afternoon....about time to start supper...ribeyes, fried potatoes and roasted corn...hubby is cooking...and he also cleans up, LOL

Been a busy day with a lot going on....will catch everyone tomorrow, just not feeling it today... Seems I can't think straight, to many interruptions and not enough quiet...

Have a great evening one and all...

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God
