Morning all! Yesterday at work was not good! I got sent home at 10 minutes til 10 because there was not anything for me to do. When I got to work another person was working men's doing my work. I don't mind sharing my department. What I do mind is being sent home early because some else did a big part of my work. It was not my fault I didn't ask for it. They should have found something for me to do!!

Hoping today is better if not my job coach is getting involved.

Good Morning to all...another brisk cold day outside...my son in MI was without power for over 24 hrs.

Yesterday was hubby's colonoscopy, he did good, they could not believe for his age that he takes absolutely no medicines...and his blood pressure and everything is good, one small polyp and maybe the beginnings of diverticuli but nothing to be concerned about, maybe add more fiber to the diet..Afterward we went to IHop for some breakfast, the first time we have ever been to an IHop, I thought there prices were great as long as you don't order coffee or a drink...we both ordered something that we could combine to make one good meal...

Now today back to the heart Dr. for me, I have to make a chart this morning that is typed not hand written with BP and heart beats per minute for the past month...so will get to that shortly, today is trash day, I have it rounded up but hubby needs to get his buns out of bed to take it to the curb...we have a guy coming this morning to give us a quote on replacing some shingles on the roof that blew off, seem our warranty for the work was for three years and that was up in Jan. they will pay to replace the shingles but we have to pay labor...we have 3 bundles of extra shingles in our large garage..

I am going to try and post a picture of the business my son and his friend just started...they have been in the landscape business for 19 yrs. and they were caught up in a company buy out and their jobs got eliminated so they decided to pool there monies and start a business....they have been best friends since pre-school and have remained friends all these years...wishing them well...

Well hear the hubby stirring around, have a great day one and all...My oldest son Craig is the bald headed guy...

Well that is the first picture of Craig that I've seen. You wouldn't have had to point him out to me because he looks just like you, right down to the smile.

    Good Morning.

Gee, beth, I would have loved to have been sent home when I worked. That never happened.

Sharon, good news about hubby. Never been to an iHop? Amazing. Wonderful news about your son. I know they will do well.

Last chemo shot this morning and then must stop at WM to pick up some things you can't get anywhere else.

    Have a good day, Everyone.

      Good morning!
It's still all dark outside, but it'll be a nice, warm, sunny day again.
Yesterday E took me shopping sometime after lunch. First stop was Costco, and I got an hour's or more worth of "workout" walking through the store. They had expanded their freezer/refrigerated section, so I found some things we could use. I still have to repackage them in smaller quantities for the freezer. I didn't find any Chinese dumplings that were on sale last month, though. E stocked up on paper goods.
Then off to Fry's/Kroger. That's where I found the stuff on my original shopping list. Got all of that in short order. Got home sometime after 4:30, and got the stuff put away in short order. When we got there, E decided to drop me off at the door. One man leaving the store offered to help me out of the car, but I declined as nicely as possible.. (Do I look weaker than I feel? I HAVE to do things for myself.). A second man was watching the exchange. He pulled a shopping cart out of the bunch, and gave it to me. For that I was thankful, because often the carts get stuck together, and I thanked him.

Used up some of the fridge's leftovers for supper. We've still got plenty of BBQ shredded beef I'd made. I'll either make turnovers or biscuit cups with that, so E can nuke those for a snack when he gets the munchies.

No plans for today. I hope he goes to work out a bit, so I can get something done around here.

Beth, sorry to hear you had a bad day at work. Hope it's a better day for work today.
      To all, have a super-duper day. ☀️
I'll be back to read the posts that follow. 😃

Sharon, great news on your sweetie's exam! Love that ad....heck, I'd certainly call them for yard services if they were in our area!
IHOP is a very good breakfast place. Quick service and good food. DD took us there for dinner once (never again! They should stick with breakfasts).

Elaine, I bet he's glad that chemo is done for a while. I still have a port for the chemo drip, should I need it again. But it'll be used for blood tests and MRI for a while now.

Good SNOWY Morning! We had to have gotten 5"-6" of snow overnight. It is absolutely gorgeous! It's clinging to the tree branches. It looks like winter wonderland out there and the best part is the roads are clear.

Yesterday was a busy one but very managable. Because I prepped the day before rolling pie dough & making fillings, I was able to bake off 6 of the 11 pies before leaving for Bible study. Came home and made the other 5. I started out only making 9 but when I was going out to the car to leave for Bible study, one of the guys from the camper sales place next door ask if I could make him a pie too then I had enough extra peach filling to make an 8" pie for a friend of mine. Glad I made extra dough.

When Cork called at lunch time, he was still feeling terrible, so I offered to make him chicken rice soup, which he thought would be good. So I had that simmering all afternoon while baking. After the pies I decided to make 2 carrot cakes for the freezer. I wanted to get them done before my friend Janet came for her small pie I was giving her. I wanted her to sample my carrot cake & the best way to do that is to give the extra "cupcake" CC I make when making the cakes. Mission accomplished. I then ran out of energy & the kitchen is still a bit messy, but I'll get that done before starting something today.

The afternoon bus driver was early again. Apparently out of the 22 kids she has in the evening, only 7 rode yesterday. The rest were sick with the flu. We got a note home from the school about it. It's very fortunate that there is no school for the next 4 days. They are going to super clean the primary school in hopes to break this cycle. The other schools (HS, MS, & Elem) aren't being affected.

Not sure what today will bring. I have no orders, but I think I'm going to pre-make a couple PB & Samoa pies and freeze them. May mix up some sugar cookie dough since I do have orders for Shamrocks for next week and baby shower. We'll see. Pizza Hut is running a special yesterday & today for BOGO lunch buffet, so Blaise & I may do that. We'll see.

        Have a good one all!

Burr! After all these 70s...73 yesterday, the rain came through and it is in the 30s! Snow tomorrow but I am still heading to the mall to meet my sister, etal. We will start with breakfast and then do the side shops then hit the mall where she tries on dresses. Late lunch then home alone since Jon is working a double. Perfect day!! Andrew has early dismissal but I have no plans....will get gas today since I will be leaving early tomorrow. Jon filled the grill last night with all kinds of meat so we will be having leftovers tonight. Andrew came up all evening grabbing hotdogs so thinking they need to be scratched off the menu due to empty bag! Nothing new from here. Jon has a meeting with Drew's teachers Monday and he wants me to go. I have a lot of questions. If his mother goes I will send a list but she does not take off work for anything...ANYTHING! Got a few hammer and nails chores done yesterday but also have some painting to touch up where he used his hammer. Thinking I will dig out the summer pillows and brighten up the living room...probably should mop and dust first. I want Spring so bad!! Yesterday Jon sent a picture of a gazebo in Lowes. OMG! it would be great on the patio as sun cover this summer...I loved the style and shape but we cannot do any recreational spending until strike is settled. Sierra made dining reservations for our June trip to Disney and had a rotten time with times....we are going to eat one evening at 8:30. Hopefully we can get some of the outlandish times changed when we get there. IF we get there. Hockey tonight and again tomorrow night....would love to go to one last game but guess I will just wait for baseball. Have a good day...sunny but cold cold cold again.

Maxie, my family is taking vacation together this year. My niece has found a 6 bedroom home to rent, and the nephew has rented a 15 passenger van. There will be 13 of us going and that is my entire family counting the 2 great-nieces boyfriends. We plan to go to Disney, Universal City, Epcot, and maybe to the beach 1 or 2 days.

OMG!!! What a trip. My sister's family and mine vacation together most summers. We love it! Everyone basically does their own thing but we always end up on the beach or around a pool together. You will love Disney...next to the beach it is my favorite place and to go with an entire family is just wonderful. One year we rented two beach houses next door but we found we liked being crammed together in one house. Beach houses promote 'closeness' and what is a little sand among family? I envy you your trip. You going in June? Maybe we will pass you on the highway!

57 out and cloudy, but feels nice, so no complaints from me.
Happy Friday morning and happy Irish music playing on Spotify on my iPad. We always had cassettes of Irish ballads and then CD's and now I can keep them in the background of this. Good memories.
This next week is the 5 year anniversary of Gary's passing and it is also the anniversary of his asked no me out for the first time. I am focusing on the latter. There are good, comforting memories of the helpmand support I received when he died so no matter what thoughts slip in, I have some great memories to pull up.
I woke up early. The clock said 4:10! I waited till Becky was through with the bathroom and got up. I have the shelter dinner this evening so it was perfect timing to get the meat cooked. We are make no Mexican lasagna, tortillas layered with meat sauce, beans, cheese...super yummy.
I better get going. Hope you all have a great day.
