Good Morning....have missed a few days, been crazy with Drs. appts. and not sleeping very well...have an appt. at 1:00 p.m. today also...and having to go once a week to get my finger poked to check for blood levels..hubby has been going with me to everything so it seems I never have 'alone' time to do what I want to do...yesterday after the appt. we looked at laptops, I want a new one and he wants one just to have to play on but with Microsoft office, things sure have changed with laptops, they use to all pretty much come with cd/dvd now they are wanting you to just buy it on line and have it loaded...I am looking at HP's have had good luck with them and want to stick with it. Then we went shopping for a sound bar for the tv did find and buy one of those, sure makes a difference in how it sounds for sure..

jostoy, I suggest you tame your *ss down so you don't fall so often, your beating your body up way to much, going to shorten your life by the harm you are doing...I know how you are, you go gunho on everything you do, slow down, take more steps 'forward' instead of backwards. I know you have to be really sore so do not push it and really hurt yourself even worse...and it could have been so much worse if you had fallen in the fire...take care of yourself woman!!!

Maxie seems like with Sierra it is always drama with Momma, maybe if she would confront Mommy dearest and be and adult this woman would lose her hold on her and she would stay in the comfort of your home and your love for her...you are a good Grandma...I don't know how you do it anyways, I was lost when I had the empty next syndrome but now I love it and don't think I could handle sharing my house now...

Donna, sounds like you had a wonderful time with your friend, she has always been so thoughtful, loving and giving...you are very lucky...

Heard Illinois had some storms move through not familiar with the counties so hope all of our Illinois people are safe..

Will come back later to read and catch up with everyone, hope to see a lot more visitors...Hugs and happiness to all.

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Good DUCKY Morning! It's a rainin' out there.

Yesterday was good. I always enjoy grocery shopping. How is it when you think you are only going to pick up a few items and maybe spend $20 that you end up with a cart full and spend $60? At least you can get a cart full for $60 at Aldi's. Got everything put away, cleaned up the kitchen, and got everything prepped for when Sue arrived. We made 25 doz ladylock shells and I filled 6 doz with filling I had in the refrig from my last baking of them. Made soft tacos for Blaise & my supper. YUM! I haven't had a taco in almost 2 years. Took Blaise for BB practice. I chatted with some of the other moms. Came home & wanted to watch some regular TV only to find out that the satellite wasn't getting the signal. Called DISH and they are coming out today. At least they give you a 2 hr window appt time, which is nice.

This morning I'm heading over to the school for a couple hours to help with the book fair. After that I'm going into town to deliver the pie to the doctor's office & hopefully get some more insulin samples. Then it's home to bake off the sugar cookie dough. I'm doing Easter shapes & will freeze them to ice later in the month. I'll have enough baked for the orders I already have, but want to wait to see if I get anymore orders and bake those before doing the whole icing mess.

Jostoy....listen to Sharon. Maxie...has Sierra woke up yet to what her Mother truly is?

      Have a good one all!

Sassy, that picture must be of my dad. He could hit the cat's mouth first time he'd squirt the milk towards the cats. Now me, I never learned how to squeeze and pull at the same time.

        Good morning everyone.

Boff, just to make it clear, I was not walking when I started stumbling backwards. I have no idea what caused me to go backwards as I was just standing there looking at my "handy-work". Maybe it was my big *ss that got me off balance.

Today I have to get out to pay a bill. Those things just come around so fast. Also have to make an appt. with my new Investment Company. Got rid of Raymond James. They are not co-operative at all. Besides, having to talk to someone on the phone instead of face to face.

Sharon, the tornado warnings and touch downs were north of me and down by Olney. That one went straight east over to Lawrencville and into Indiana.

Cookie, I can't imagine rolling 25 dozen of anything. I like to bake, but not that well.

        Everyone have a great day.

          Good Morning.

Wow! Read all of yesterday's comments just now.

Jostoy! I'm so glad you are healing, but my goodness! How dangerous for you to be doing the things you do. You must be more conscientious. We are all getting older and cannot or should not do the things we used to do. Still, I admire your go-gettedness. I sure don't have it anymore.

maxie, I certainly have not experienced being in your situation, but the good news is that if Sierra's mother was shopping for a better life, she achieved giving a good family to her child. Let's face it, Sierra is living a conflicted life, with her mother at one end of the continuim and you and Jon at the other. It isn't easy being her right now.

Donna, there is scuttlebut that we are getting an Aldi's in our one-horse town. That would be awesome!

sassy, I think that cat meme is my favorite of all.

Well, need to do some organizing and purging today.

          Hugs to All ~ ~

Wild night for storms in Illinois and Missouri but this little section of paradise missed them all. I got a text from a friend around 11:00 last nght asking if we were ok and I responded that I had been reading all night and watching a hockey game so wasn't aware of weather....Jon told me we missed it all. Good enough! Looks like the rain gauge has a couple if inches of rain so at least we broke the mini drought. If I am misspelling a bunch of words sorry...these new computer guts need tweaking and one thing is spell check...I can't find it! Have no idea what to fix for supper tonight. Maybe Jon brought up something from the freezer. Think I would like pancakes and eggs, maybe some potatoes. Great menu and even better if we had a cook. Nothing new from here. Life just rolls along.

            good morning

Elaine, organizing, purging, yes...today is a good day to do more of that for me too...altho we are wet, dark, stormy predictions..
. so guess the organizing will be on the computer..... been trying to delete old files.. not sure they take up much space.. and afraid to delete major stuff in case it is tied to programs I need yet... ..also started sorting out the books on shelves. the keepers , the ones that can go to library..
and then some day I will tackle the music file cabinets.... take the shredded downstairs and have a big garage bag for all those well used, worn out lessons books...

Donna , all those doughs..Wow. hows the grease balls stash? .need more?.

Jostoy... ummmm?...do I read "falling"?.. did I read you move way too fast?.. when working alone , You have got to be twice as careful..!!!!.
.... echo Sharon.. slow down.. you don't want to break a leg or hip!.. you could not stand to be waited on!... ( that is my warning to my hubby,too)..

SassyG.. showed your pic to hubby, who did milk cows in his youth ,, said they did that all the time.. cute.
Sharon,, I miss alone time too.. especially in the car.. since I drive. and he has to assist in this task.. aggg.
Hi Bethina,, glad you are getting better.

better go organize dinner.(lunch).. see you all later.

Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

Good morning.....Welcome March, Happy Lent, and c'mon Springtime!
I'm glad to see higher temps coming. Today up to 69°, and in a few days (if Mother Nature isn't fickle) we'll be seeing temps in the 80's!
Our "rain" the other day turned out to be a few measly drops in the evening. Basically no rain that does anything any good. So I'll water the trees today, maybe fertilize them as well.

I'm starting to get palpitations, which I feel more in my throat than my heart. I'll mention it to my next doctor, I guess.
Also have to get another script for my blood thinner. You're right Elaine, we're all getting older. Our bodies make changes, and we need to pay attention to that. Sometimes our meds need readjusting for one reason or another. We need to take care of ourself accordingly.

Jostoy, I have started paying my bills online. Much easier. I can see what's due through my bank, and set up the payment from home, out-of-town, or wherever I happen to be. When I'm in the hospital, I just have E check my computer/iPad and he can pay them.

Well, E is stirring, so I'd better get his coffee started. I'll let him pour the cereal this morning. 😄

Have a great day, all. ☀️

March is in like a Lamb here. Sunny and bright, if not warm. I will take it.
Donna, just the mention of those lady lock cookies ( my iPad will not type it out ) has my stomach growling. Best cookies. Ever.
Everyone I shared with were speechless and just savoring the taste! Your vanilla filling is the best!
I just wrote out my property taxes and need a break.
I posted a picture of Stuart with some of the first graders at his school. They were having a green eggs and ham breakfast! And wearing very goofy hats. I love how he gets right down with the kids and into the silliness.
Gary's dad ran a dairy and he always told me the barn cats would line up waiting for milk! Just like your photo, sassy!
Everybody take care of yourselves and have a good day!
