Good Morning, Friends!

Cold out again. Got too warm yesterday and now we are back with cold again. Everything that is supposed to bloom is blooming, but it's too cold to go out and enjoy it.

maxie, I think if I had to cook for a crew, I would hate it, too. For John and me, it is very simple, and I am enjoying my kitchen more than I ever have. However, I look like it, too.

Not much to talk about here. The transfusion certainly helped John, but I am always afraid of what his needing blood is saying about his condition.

Speaking of cooking, we bought 2 very expensive steaks, and the first one we cooked on the grill was too tough for words. So today I have the other thawed and have read that long, slow cooking in a crackpot should tenderize it. Hope so.

Good morning...anxiety got the best of me yesterday....had to have extra anxiety pill that is priscribed prn....haven't needed it since moving over here....this morning anxiety still has me!

Good Morning! There is still snow out there, but that will be gone by later today & suppose to be really warm tomorrow....weird.

Yesterday was good. Not productive around here, but that was OK. Met my friend Debbie for lunch after Bible study. We use to talk more when I didn't live locally. Now we are lucky to talk once every 3-4 months when it use to be weekly. Stopped at GE and picked up a few of their deals using coupons then onto home. I made spaghetti for dinner and Blaise & I ate the rest of the bread I had made the day before. Decided to mix up 3 kinds of cookie dough to bake today. I had 7 recipes out, but gave up when it came to the one I had to zest & squeeze a lemon. Another day for those.

Blaise doesn't have school today or Monday. Today was a built in snow day & since we had no call-offs, they got today off & Monday is Presidents Day. Not sure what today will all bring. I keep debating about going into town & us meet Becca for lunch.

Good Morning ..

when I opened computer there was a big page that Avast had installed a new updated program .. and that it showed I had problems ... well... how about that!.... so I ran their scan.. no bugs found but still said I had a problem somewhere. .when I came here to RT. everything looks "normal" again.. still resolution a bit high . but livable.

I never ask much of electrical devices... Just do what you are supposed to do!... aren't I easy to please?.

I also just noticed a long string of add ons...IP INFRACTION EDIT QUOTE FLAG LIKE on the bottom of your posts .. when did that happen?..

I feel like Alice in Wonderland.. everything has been crazy in my computer land.. sure hoping today is a sign things on the mend...

Good Morning, first I round up the trash, then I round up the hubby to take it all out...I wish I could get as much sleep as he does, LOL

Been going through the drawers in my file cabinet, told hubby yesterday if he want to keep all bills from gas, electric, sewer, etc. at the end of the year he can shred and go through it all...so much darn paper and such to shred...I say enough!! He was questioning about automatic billing yesterday also, at that point I was fed up and handed him the papers and said he could take care of paying bills etc. Not every place offers electronic billing unless you have an acct. with them, some are done through the bank some through bill matrix....he just doesn't understand...so I AM DONE!! well maybe, LOL...dang you just have to love retirement and having someone looking over your shoulder and questioning all you do, nice to know he wants and needs to know but just listen, do not question me..

Will do more cleaning out of other drawers in the house, how do they get so full of 'junk'? Had leftovers for supper yesterday will have to think of something for today...don't have a clue, going to fix a decent breakfast this morning before he goes out to cut up the trees he took down yesterday. He did sweep, vacuum and mop floors before going out....I appreciated it..

Elaine I think I am going to have to go to and allergy Dr. its been over two weeks and I don't think the over the counter meds are working, so I guess I need to find out what I am allergic to and get it taken care of..just another joy of getting older, LOL.... I also wondered about how often John needs blood, is that usual with his illness?

Sounds like jostoy is busy as she always is, with her sleeping in later and our hour time difference makes it a little more difficult for me to call her, LOL...

Maye, hope your computer continues to 'heal' itself.. We are not big soup eaters here, just the usual chili, veggie, tomato soup, sometimes chicken noodle...and bean soup.

Well time to get breakfast started, breaded pork, eggs and toast...

Good morning, everyone.
Yesterday's temperature was a few degrees lower than forecasted...today should be 72°. Rain forecasted this weekend, and in the 60's tomorrow and near mid-50's Sunday.
Last evening I got a pain in my chest and difficulty breathing. So E tucked me in bed to rest. Guess I really conked out fast and slept about 9-1/2 hours. Am fine this morning. Can't imagine, though, what my "episode" last night was.
No particular plans for me today.

Elaine, you and John are also in my thoughts regularly.

Beth, though I can't identify with anxiety issues, I'd consider deep breathing exercises to relax. Can't hurt.
Cookie, you'll have your hands full an extra 2 days. When I was a kid, I don't recall getting ANY snow days off school. Not even when yard-long icicles were hanging from the roof!

Yes, retirement IS a different adventure. How many times do we need to take a deep breath and decide to "play nice"?
E is now talking about switching to a Senior living place, with Senior Care available when needed, and nearer the kids. Gads, I hate to think of changing doctors. Again. I feel I've got a good thing going with my docs now.....they finally understand my unusual conditions. Well, getting rid of stuff here will take quite some time. 🙄

good rainy morning! It is Friday and I feel like I can deal with anything...probably shouldn't say that out loud!
Maye, my Avast always wants me to do their add on, but my computer tech said no, just run the cleaner and be done.
It is Girl's movie night tonight and I will be going with a friend and some of the other church women. Even if it is raining; just need a little diversion.
Tomorrow two little dogs go to the groomer and while they are there I will run up to Redding to sign and pay for my tax work. When I asked how much the preparation is this year: about 50.00 Less!
When does that ever happen??? That totally made up for it taking about a week longer than last year.
Bethina, can you figure out what is making you feel anxious? Talk your way through the situation and then tell yourself you are not alone! Even if we aren't there physically, remember you have all of us behind you.
I need to fill out some daycare paperwork on this desktop. I haven't connected my ipad to the printer, so I started earlier today to get it done.

So I lost the first post. Why? Guess if I knew what I did I wouldn't be doing it so often. So I will repeat the highlights as I remember them from post #1. Going to be in the 70s today. This has been a gorgeous February and I hope sign of a hot summer. I am so ready for a decent summer. Sierra will be here after class and we will drop off my taxes and grab a fast bite. The sauce and meatballs are already in the crock pot simmering away for tonight. Andrew was in a better mood last night then laid down and took a nap. Hard to get him up for homework and I know Jon was aggravated with his mom for not getting him to bed earlier. I was checking his math last night and was super confused with converting fractions into algebra. I called Sierra and she said take a picture and send it to her. I did not know I could talk and take pictures and send them off all at the same time! So I did and she checked the paper and then explained it to me and even showed me a way to cross check his answer. All with our phones. Oh my!! AND she did it in a very nice way. Maybe what has been bugging her the last 18 months is finally over? I ran the vac yesterday and today should start a load of laundry. Blues won again last night! I am so loving this fast paced winning hockey! Sierra just called and her last class was cancelled so at 9:00 she is heading here. She has an hour drive to get here so I had better get dressed and be ready. With this being the era of email and smart phones etc why do these teachers need to post signs on their class doors of cancellations? Well I am off to clean up my act and spend time with my little girl. Wonder where the singing birds are this morning? It is a beautifully sunny sky...maybe they slept in.

Maxie, my son in Maryland posted a photo of his son on the ice at a rink. I knew Boone had been invited to a birthday party, but what my son posted: Here we are where the Capitols practice! They are loving being in the US with all the team spirit!

OMG Paula, how wonderful. I have been past the Blues practice arena but never seen a practice. Been to many many many games and would love to see a practice! Glad they are enjoying the new experiences. But to be completely honest my one secret love would to spend a week at Cardinals spring training. #1 thing on my bucket list!
