Good Morning, slow moving this morning...went shopping yesterday just to get out of the house, needed some new towels for the back of the couch because that is where the kitties like to lay and sleep, and also some cream for my poor red Rudolph nose, man is it ever red and sore...also got my eyedrops...so good to go for now...then later we went out to eat for an all you can eat fish dinner, well the first round is more than I can eat but hubby LOVES fish so he gets mine...

No plans for the day yet, it is a cold one out there this morning...but I do see some sunshine...Have a good weekend one and all...each day brings us closer to spring...been a very strange winter so far.

Cold here, as well, so we are sitting by the fire (and cleaning up the mess it makes)

Niece took me to lunch yesterday (Chinese) and it was NOT good. We were truly disappointed. It's a new place and we needed to try it.

Caught up with my chores, so reading sounds like a good option today.

Good SUNNY Morning! I had a post all ready yesterday & it went poof! Didn't have the time or energy to do it again.

I've been busy baking & making the last couple of days. Before I got started doing that yesterday, I went to the hospital for a dx mammo & ultra sound because they weren't happy with the mammo a couple weeks ago. After two hours of testing & waiting, the Radiologist declared me fine...whew! Before I even left the house though, we had the furnace guy in because it was short cycling...on & off, on & off. It was declared dying, so we have a new furnace being installed on Tues. It's still running, but not well. We also ordered an a/c unit because it died last Fall and it'll be installed a little later. They are super busy right now, so the a/c could wait. We just appreciate them fitting us in so quickly. Rob is a family friend and always takes care of us. Sue arrived shortly after I got home & we made 22 doz ladylocks. YUM! I definitely need a 2nd oven because her & I together can crank out lots. What a team!

This morning I had to get at least 3 doz sugar cookies iced for a customer coming later this afternoon. That's done, now I want to get the other 6 doz iced and out of the way too. Becca is coming sometime later and will be going to Blaise's BB game with us. Need to figure out something to make for dinner that will be quick once we get home from the game. Always like to feed her a good dinner.

Good morning everyone.

Boff, I did find the Will in my safe. It was in the last folder that I looked in. All the folders that I went through in the safe and the 2 boxes got a good clean out. It took all morning yesterday just to shred the papers I cleaned out of the 2 boxes. Now I'm good to go for another 5 years. Tax papers are about the only thing that should build up now. I'm through buying anymore Life Insurance so that file should stay clean. There wasn't a lot of shredding to be done from the safe.

Today will be in low 30's, so I may get out and walk a little just to get off my "duff". Yesterday afternoon I got the call from my jeweler that my 2 necklaces and a pair of earrings were ready. I had to buy 2- 24" chains to put on the necklaces that V. had gotten me for Christmas the past 2 years. Also had to have the earrings rearranged so I could wear them. If V. had not gotten them for me, I wouldn't have gone to the expense of having them fixed to where I could wear them. She will be at Church tomorrow, so I will wear the set she got me this year.

Better shut up and get to the kitchen to fix a bit of breakfast. Everyone have a great day.

Good morning.

Today we will get out of the house. There's a few things I want to get at the store. I've never missed Valentines for my kids or those very close to me. I almost forgot about them this year. I'd usually have them ready to address by now.
But E seems to be quick to do the shopping these days.

Then after that, going to the movies. I want to see what direction Star Wars is going. Maybe it's a buried tribute to Harrison Ford, one of my very favorite actors. I hate that he had to be "killed off" early on in this new series, but it fits that he couldn't remain. They've selected an actor already to play the younger Hans Solo in an upcoming movie.
I think E wants to go to a Roadhouse Theater, sit in their plush recliner, and have lunch there.

It's going to hit 77° this afternoon. I want to be out in it this afternoon.
E still pampers me. I'm "not long out of the hospital" from that surgery to him, and he's urging me not to try to do too much for a couple more months. Well, I don't do much, but I do what I can. I need to strengthen my muscles, in any case.
Sometimes I cook, other times he nukes hot dogs or frozen dinners.

I didn't think I'd like the Netflix series "Longmire". A western, in Wyoming, it encompasses a Native American community as well as white community. It's interesting to hear the occasional different points of view. Every show has a different type of incident, different story. We like all the characters, good and bad, on the show. Even guest actors do a great portrayal of their character. Sometimes you see a different "something" in a character to change your opinion. The bad person may only be sick, or has a bit of brain malfunction. A good guy may show a bad side to his personality. Nobody's perfect. We love how the writers and directors put it all together. We both enjoy it far more than expected.

We used to love Chinese food. Was it just last year sometime, we went back? Our former favorite place, our general favorite order.....yuck, it didn't taste the same, it wasn't good. We asked if ownership had changed, or did they get a new chef....she said no, everything's the same as before. We just never went back. Something had to have changed, and we don't like it any more.

I don't mean to ramble on, so I guess I'll close for now.

Good morning. No rain on the cement outside but it is cold and cloudy. I kept saying the TV graphic showed sun for the weekend. No. When I looked more carefully it shows a yellow heading over Saturday and Sunday, but rainy clouds underneath. Do they think we need special banners to recognize the weekend? It is a different network news program ( ABC is not on my DISH right now and I am now disappointed...really breezy outside as I watch the trees and the waves across the pool...
Driving today will be fun...
Laundry is going (never ending with kids and dogs). I have a growing grocery list and some items, like a new area rug for the daycare, that will keep me busy until my tax meeting. I want some new closet doors and shelving but not sure I will fit in a trip to Home Depot today.
I started to say I feel like Spring cleaning already, which reminded me of what a daycare mom said: her horses shedding have always been the truest indicator of Spring.
And they aren't shedding at all. That was a bit of a downer! Then someone else said, well, when the rattlesnakes come out you know it is warming up. Ugh!
So glad I live in town! Plenty of friends here post all the time about killing them on their driveway or next to their garage door!
I better go and get my papers together and get this day out the door.

GOOD evening ,,, I did think I had posted this morning . but here it is 9:30 pm and I am finally here... but then I also just remembered I had a load of wet clothes in washer .that is now in the dryer... so bed and book will have to wait until those are removed and folded.... I hate the cold of winter... but do like the long sleepy. puzzle, read. or whatever days... as long as we don't have to get out and go somewhere....

the nice part of coming in late ..I get to see what everyone is/was doing...

Don't see Sassygirl with her kitties today... hope all is well..

Elaine . love a fireplace but hated the mess...we had one at home for heating purposes... ( no furnace ..just little gas stoves.).. so living room had a much needed fire... but so much dust and dirt. vowed never to have one in any house I lived in....

Jostoy .. got a shredder at Christmas, have been having a great time... and got lots more to go.... got to do the same on computer.. it runs so slow .. too much junk on it..

see you all in the morning .. dryer went off.. and I wanting to crawl off with my book..
