Good morning...work yesterday was really good. It went fast and everyone seemed to be in a pleasant mood. I went and volunteered for a bit after work. Came home to more excitement next door. My former neighbor's brother (brother to the soon to be x of the guy in jail) has asked me to call if I see anyone at the house next door. There is to be no one there at all right now. Well the white car was back the same one that had his dog when she came up missing so I called him. Next thing I know he is at my door wanting to hang out and watch the house for a bit and wait on the police to come. Well the police came and took the driver of the white car away in the back of their car. leaving her car there...late yesterday evening the white car was gone. So far the soon to be x can't even get into the house to get the stuff she wants to keep. She was able to get a few things when they raided the house and took the soon to be x to jail. They were able to get in and get pictures when the house was broken into...and in two week when the devorice is finalized she should be able to go in with police escort and get the rest of her stuff.

My hope for today is another great day at work and less excitement on the home front.

After work I will grab lunch at my favorite pizza place. Then I have another chiropractor appointment...then home for a quick rest and church tonight.

    have a great day everyone!

I posted a good morning also, so I will just cut and paste it here...good morning...

Wednesday, Jan. 25th Today, 07:56 AM

The older I get the faster time goes for sure...They say the 'nice weather' is going to go away by evening and start to feel more like winter weather....fine by me, wouldn't mind seeing some white on the ground, at least it would be light and bright instead of this dreariness that is all around.

Do not have a plan in mind for the day, but feel a good start would be to start in my bedroom and work my way through the house in the next month cleaning out drawers and getting rid of 'stuff' I no longer use or need 'just in case'. Cabinet for the garage is finished so I might just start cleaning out the closet in the spare bedroom today that has larger items that can now go in the cabinet instead of shelves in the closet...think that would be a really good start...this is the only time I miss having a basement is having storage...

Seems since having the 'scope' it has irriatated my innards enough that I can't be far away from a bathroom, always dread those for that reason, took my probiotics and anti diarrhea meds last night, hope it helps today...

I do need to get out today and get a card for a friend of mine who has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung and brain cancer, she is going through chemo and starting to lose her hair she was told a 'cold cap' will help with that...so I want to enclose a check for her to purchase one...they are having a benefit for her but I do not plan to attend, not my thing to be at a bar with music, drinking and such, getting to old for that...I hope they raise lots of money to help in the cost of her treatments.

Well time to find something for breakfast and get my day started...Have a good one to all...try and be a positive person, not a negative one, try giving the benefit of the doubt, don't always see the worst of every situation...sometimes what we may think is not what it really is.

      Good morning everyone.

Yesterday I got 1 of the shelves up in the shed. The shelf that I put up use to be my breakfast bar. Let me tell you that thing was heavy. After getting "banged" in the head twice, it would slip off the one end of the bracket, I went across the street to get Russell to help me. We both had to use muscle to get it on the brackets. It was no problem then to get the screws into the shelf on the bottom.

After that, I decided to put up a smaller and lighter shelf. That one was easier to handle. That only leaves a 4 foot 2x8 to get up, which I will do later.

Today is laundry day. Should have about 4 loads, if I sort them correctly. Then tonight is Bible Study. That will be my whole day, except for grilling some meat sometime today. It is pork steak and pork burgers. They have been seasoned already, and just sitting on the counter soaking up the flavor.

      Everyone have a great day.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

      Good morning.
Geez, it got down to 29° last night. The days get up to the 50's, but there will be a couple more nights of freezing temps. Sunday will bring us back to normal and get up to the 60's and low 70's .... for a bit, anyway. Maybe spring will land upon us early??? Crazy weather!

Hello to you early birds, and to those posting as I type, and all else who follow.
      Where's Maxie lately?

Sharon, I miss not having a basement after growing up in a house that had a basement and an attic. Out here if you insist on a basement, you triple or quadruple the cost of the house, but despite the caliche hard ground, the basements are still likely to leak in significant rainy weather. So almost nobody out here has a basement. I'm so sorry you have to go through what you're going through after the scoping.
I'm still looking for bathrooms when we go somewhere. E told me about the bathroom on the plane (very small and compact, can barely move around, and people made it very messy.) So I made sure to use the restrooms in the terminals.
And I was glad my purse held extra depends and wet wipes. They were needed at the next stop.

Beth, be sure to keep your doors locked when you're home. Not knowing exactly what's what with the next door people would make me feel nervous. Be careful about getting involved. I'm glad to hear that work is going better now.

Sassy, another funny cat! That is SO much like a calico I once had. Couldn't leave her food out, because she wanted to eat constantly, and she'd just about lay down with her face in the dish til she was done.....laying down, she showed triple her girth (or fatness).

Well, I need some breakfast, and to start my day.
      Begone, ugly dreariness!!! ☀️
      Have a good one, everyone.

JoG I swear you are living my life...and I have been doing it since about 1983. Seeing the pictures of my scope and calling it abnormal has me a bit concerned, lots of scarring and narrowing for sure..such is my life...sent hubby out for Depends and he came back with the ones for nighttime use, wow are those things THICK, really don't like them but do not want to voice my dislike to him, he tries so hard..and really probably doesn't know the difference.

Good Morning! Another dreary cold one here.

Yesterday was good. Mixed up 3 kinds of cookie dough to bake today....ginger snaps, ladylocks, and sugar cookies. Went through all the Christmas decoration boxes & ended up getting rid of 2 storage boxes worth of stuff. Also had a storage box of cards & such for different occasions and reduced it to a much smaller box. Corky got the Christmas decorations back up into the attic. Got the laundry finished up & put away.

Blaise & I had eye appointments at 3:40 & 4:15. He ended up needing glasses. We didn't get home until 6pm....CRAZY! Picked up dinner at McD's on our way out because he had basketball practice at 6pm, so we were a little late getting there. Had a nice chat with one of the parents while sitting there, so it made it go fast.

This morning I've been baking off cookie dough. Got the gingersnaps & sugar cookies baked off. When the last batch comes out of the oven, then Cork & I are heading into town to deliver the Banana Nut cake to the doctor's office for their weekly treat, then onto the Chinese restaurant for lunch. We'll also hit up WM & Aldi's while there. Won't be cooking dinner tonight! Will come home & bake off the ladylocks. Have a plate of cookies made up for my Mom to take to cards tonight, so I'll probably take a few minutes & do that since tonight is the night.

      Have a good one all!

I am late and not getting caught up soon.
Cold outside, but not supposed to rain.
My mom is recovering but I am needed with showers and making dinner. A friend who cooks with me for the shelter surprised me with chicken enchiladas and a beautiful salad last night. I had already made salmon for us so lunch and dinner today will be easy! I really appreciate the break.
I had to go to the bank for her ( mom) after daycare. I stood in line with be 20 minutes watching three difficult transactions.
One man was depositing a Huge amount of money. Different large stacks of different denominations. I could not take my eyes off it even while I was trying to!
I'm hoping he sold a truck, rather than had anything illegal going on
Too many crime novels, I guess!
Have a good day. Sharon, I hope your health stuff calms down.
Beth, you are not the one to get involved in that house! You have to be safe and secure!

Sharon, my problems began in December of 1989.
They didn't get this bad till 2000 with my spleen removal, adding scars and "the lump" on my left side.
Now all this past year, two surgeries, extra Med's, them Depends became an indispensable necessity.
If E doesn't get the right ones, I don't complain either. I deal with it.
Are we related??? Man-0-Man! You have been my inspiration against getting depressed, and I've been turning my gripes into jokes.

But I'm grateful how much E does for me. He's been super-duper through all of it.
