    Good morning everyone.

I can't believe that I'm the first one here again, but I have been up since 1:30, so I guess it shouldn't be a surprise.

Once again, I have no plans for the day. Football, football and more football... mixed in with some crocheting and playing on the computer.

I was watching an episode of Beat Bobby Flay last night and they were making cabbage rolls. I LOVE cabbage rolls, but haven't made them in ages because I hate fighting with the head of cabbage to get leaves large enough to use (truth be known, the cabbage usually wins). Anyway... they were using napa cabbage. Why haven't I thought of that??? So, the napa cabbage is on my grocery list and stuffed cabbage rolls on my menu. Yea!!! Who says watching every conceivable cooking show is a waste of time

I'm feeling somewhat better today... not quite as 'blue'. We actually got some sunshine yesterday. It snowed all morning, put down about an inch and a half, then warmed up and it all melted. That's the kind of snow storms I can live with.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday. Be safe and warm.

    Good morning.

jgarcia, it was warm enough yesterday that I got in the mood for fishing. I can almost do that in my yard. But instead of fishing, I washed my car, and got it nice and clean for the next round of rain. Also got all my small areas painted, so that job is done. Can't think of anything else that needs doing by me.

After S.S. and Church, I guess it will be a lazy day for me. Everyone have a good day.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

I am so glad you're feeling some better, Judy. I'm sure the sun has helped. I'm getting picked up to go to Adult Ed in a little bit and I have to make coffee for myself and a friend of mine.. I will just say hello, have a great day and I will be back later.

        Good morning.
The RT won't remember me. Maybe because we're in a motel. But I sign in every time now.
Not enjoying freezing my tush off. Today we will touch 50°, but mostly in the 40's. We leave tomorrow in colder weather with rain and fog.
But we ARE enjoying seeing relatives. My brother came down sick while we visited Thursday. Today he cancelled breakfast because his lady is coming down with it, and are afraid that (my impaired immune system) I might catch it. We will miss saying good bye to them. But we have one more family clan to visit today.

Seems the hotel has a faux thermometer in the rooms. It's generally set at 70°, so it says. I turned it up to 76, and there's no change whatsoever. I don't think we will stay at this one again.

So, I'm enjoying some peppermint tea before breakfast. E is still abed. Guess we will be having brunch today instead.

Judy, I never considered Napa cabbage for cabbage rolls. But I've never had a problem with regular cabbage. Nonetheless, I shall try the Napa next time.
I used to think Bobby Flay was pretty arrogant with his "beat me" contests. I've taken that back. He seems to genuinely congratulate his opponent, should he himself lose. Actually, there are no losers....it's all a matter of personal taste in the end.

Well, guess who's up! Time to get my stuff in order for the day.
Hope you all have a great day.

          good morning .

up early but reading ... ..we are actually going to go to church this morning .... but are going to the church we left when we moved into this house.. will be nice to see some of the Old people who were young when we went there ... I am so disappointed in our present church , pastor..we were regular attenders there. until David started having problems. it has been one year since his surgery... and in all this time the pastor , nor anyone representing the church has called or got in touch with us..
so we will drop in on our "old" church.. at least I can set there and have wonderful memories. and they have a pastor that preaches a good sermon.... have been reading them on from their web site..

this is Steeler country . ...at least for David... I will listen to the game, check the score or not . Hubby says is they win, it would be a miracle..

Judy it is grand seeing you open up the shop!..... SassyG ... no picture today ... but thats ok.. you work hard hunting them and I appreciate that!..

          Hi JoG.
Hi Punkin... your phone no... is some where...oh where did I lay that piece of paper...

and hi to all... going to be a long day... up at 5.. wouldn't it be funny if I fell asleep in church?..
Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

          Good Morning to all..

Judy cabbage rolls sound really good, I might have to put that on my list also..BUT let me know first how you like them made with Napa cabbage..

JoG, I know all about watching what I do and who I am around, I have a suppressed immune system with the Remicade so I have learned to be very cautious...carry my little bottle of hand sanitizer with me always and remember to never touch my face until I have used it..

jostoy, I think I am going to learn to fish again, been way to many years, will have to learn to cast all over again, timing...hubby is retired and likes to fish, I can either fish with him or take a chair and good book with me, LOL...my car needs a good cleaning also, but I will probably pay the bucks and have it done...

Went to the 50th birthday party yesterday, one of the guys in the group the hubby worked with...get so tired of the question, "how's retirement", for real, we haven't had time to figure it all out yet...and the other question, "any trips planned yet". Again, for real, first of all you have way to many things to get done once you do retire accounts, insurance, etc. to set up once you do. Just a lot on the 'to do' list to go for very long..The theme of the party was 'Star Wars' which he collects and enjoys, everyone to wear black, no gifts but if you wanted you could bring a 'gag gift' that started with the first letter of your last name...cake and punch was served...then afterwards we went out the eat...coming home it was 7:30 p.m. and hubby says, "what is going on with us this is two evenings in a row we have been out past dark" true we vegetate at dawn, flannel bottoms and comfy tops...

Well we both finally got a good nights rest last night, maybe that shows we need to get out and about more... since he has retired our sleep patterns have been awful...hoping for a new norm soon....I can say one thing, I miss the silence during the day, might have to 'make him his own corner' in our bedroom...

I won't be here in the morning have an appt. in MI, joG leaves MI and I head that way to the Uof MI hospital for my scope, oh joy... catch you(me) when you can..

Hope we get some sunshine today, this weather is getting to me. Have a goodun' ya'll.

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Boffler, how far are you from MI? I said a long time ago I was going to get a US map and put pins around where you all live but I only got started and it ended up in daycare...I need to do something so I have a better visual of where you all live. More than the list of addresses.
Are you tired of me saying it is rainy and windy? Because I am very tired of the rain and wind! Today it is again doing both and my hair is not getting the full Sunday treatment, just to blow all over. The wind makes an umbrella too crazy. I am happy that my mother is feeling good enough for me to go to church and do the music. I will not stay for SS but will comeback and see to what needs to be done at her house.
I love cabbage rolls! Judy, please post the recipe when you have time. We used to have a diner here that on Wednesday's had them on the menu. I have never found a recipe that were as good as they were. It seemed to be a sweet and sour type broth, for lack of a better description. Not a tomato soup type. I wonder if there was lemon juice in it? anyway, I will look for your review, Judy.
Hope you all have a great day and you are all safe and warm!

Good Morning! The sun keeps peaking in & out. Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous.

Yesterday was good. Didn't have any great plans, but ended up cleaning out the refrigerator. I actually have some empty shelf space now. Pitched all the icings I had in small containers from when I iced this or that. Will start fresh now. Had a nice conversation with the gal that picked up her grandma's pie.

Blaise had his first basketball game. Actually it was a dbl header. He slept well last night! The age group was K-1st. They didn't call many fouls on them. Blaise ended up getting 3 baskets btw the two games. Some of those kids can really shoot. They are mixed teams...boys & girls.

This morning we went to church & SS. Came home & started mixing up another batch of ladylock dough to try the second recipe again. This one has yeast in it. Didn't quite get finished mixing when the restaurant called & ordered pies. Blaise has a birthday party to attend for a classmate who only lives about a mile or so away. I looked up the directions to the place before I said yes. I'm not traveling far for a BD party. Mean, I know. Then this evening is the playoff game Steelers vs Patriots. The Patriots are really good, but they are full of themselves and Brady is a prima donna.

              Have a good one all!

Good morning I am late this morning...was up at 5 fed cori...awake just after 7 to let my parents know whats going on next door. I am not exactly comfortable with it and will watch myself coming home after dark. Back before Thanksgiving the wife left and took kids with her...I have only seen the husband a couple of times since then....but all kinds of people coming and going...come to find out he was letting who ever stay with him.

Well last night I spoke with the brother of the wife....the husband is in jail...not sure why...but there are still random people staying there. The wife doesn't even know who they are. The husband/wife are now in the middle of a divorice and the house is going into forclosure. I hope and pray for decent neighbors,,good neigbors goes a long way when you live alone.

                No plans for today

                    Aloha all!

Speaking of fish. Yesterday we had heavy winds and this morning I walked around the outside of the building say quite a few small downed branches and zillions of leaves. They had to close the pool and when I looked at it on my walk I saw what I thought was a fish in the hot tub. After watching this so called fish for a few moments realized it was a fish shaped leaf. But sure looked like a fish. Who ever is in charge of cleaning the pool have their work set out for them cleaning all the debris in it.

But did take my car to the lower parking lot where they have a hose and gave my car a good hosing from all the wind and the tree cutting the day before so it's nice and shiny again.

                    Have a good day all!

Glad to see you posting, Nalani. Sure must be nice to live where there isn't and cold or snow to drive in. Do you have site of the ocean, or do you have to drive a bit to enjoy that kind of view?

Sharon.....the fog has been heavy, misty. It'll only be 44° here tomorrow.
