[Punkin]

I am mystified. I was sure that I had posted yesterday, but I can't find my post. Maybe I am losing it and I didn't post after all. I guess real life is very distracting. Too much stress. Grrrrr

It was 80 degrees yesterday. We tied a record that was set decades ago. We were 22 degrees above average. It was in the high 70s today (it is 63 right now and it is after 1 am!), but I didn't go out at all yesterday. I am hoping I can drive today. I have to go grocery shopping and get my hair done.

I am watching Murder She Wrote and realizing I have seen these over and over again. It is getting kind of old.

I guess I will try and get some sleep. I hope you all are sleeping well. See you later!

Good Morning.

Hi Val! Not sleeping - thanks to the cat.

Did not get to check in yesterday. Went with Nancy to take her brother to his semi-annual doc appt. 3-hour round trip, but we just visit and talk all the way and back, so it's fun. Had Chinese for lunch. It was awful, and I left most of mine.

Rain rain rain. Our pasture is a lake again, but the temp is mild, so it's not bad. At least the cows are clean.

My long-time pressure cooker bit the dust, and I had to pull my back-up out of hiding. Now I'm down to one, and I'm getting nervous. I do use my PC a LOT, and it feels like soup weather today.

sassy, I saw yesterday's kitty, and it priceless. Don't know where you find these great things, but I LOVE them all!

JoG, hope your travels are uneventful and that you have a great time.

Good Morning, still dark out and I have no clue why I woke up so early and could not go back to sleep...woke up at 4:15 a.m. and by 5:15 a.m. I was still laying there and my back was hurting so I just got out of bed and headed to the kitchen, turned on the Keurig, hit the start button for the computer and let my day begin...it's so early even the cats are still sleeping.. Kind of funny, they can be sound asleep but as soon as the hubby gets out of bed and they hear him the meowing for attention begins...guess they are so use to me being here it is no big deal but they are still adjusting to him.

We made another trip to Lowe's yesterday to get more wood for the cabinet he is building, nothing fancy like he says, "it's a garage cabinet" and it will be painted white like the walls..I really don't have to have a fancy cabinet for the garage, just one that holds what I want it to hold...I bought a board and some large hooks, I want him to paint that, put the hooks on it and hang it out in garage for his coats and such he wears to work in, I detest sawdust in the house and other things..LOL

Think I will throw things in the crockpot today for a stew, it was a weight watchers stew called 7 can soup from years and years ago, but I still like it and it is so easy...will make a few rolls to have with it...you know the kind in the freezer section that you let rise and bake...we like them. Other than that a little more cutting on the quilt pieces...

Safe travels today for JoG & Ellis...And I also send my hugs out to all of you that have or will pass this way today...still have Mickie on my mind...

Good Morning!

Yesterday was nice. Becca met the 4 of us ladies and we finally got my Mom to buy her new living room curtains and she also got new cushions for all her dining room chairs. Had to order the valances and still didn't find rods for a 150" span. Lunch and then onto Boscov's for me to return & get clothes that would fit. Bless my husband's pea pickin' soul, he got me mediums and I'm a large or XL. My SIL is a sharp dresser, so I had her pick out things for me to try on. Got home earlier than planned, so I got to get Blaise off the bus. We had to eat early because of basketball practice. He had fun & there were no injuries this week. Games start this Saturday.

This morning I have my annual mammo and then I'll run a few errands before coming home to mix up 3 different recipes for ladylocks. Tomorrow Sue is coming to teach me how to make them. Think I'll whip up some filling also so we are ready to fill them once they are baked. Will try a couple different recipes for that too.

It is a wet and noisy day here with the garbage trucks out and about and rain sometime during the night. None at the moment...but it is also supposed to be windy again today.
I appreciate the well wishes for my mother. She is 84 and has had really good health. She says her bruised right side hurts more than the broken wrist...On the bright side both my brothers are texting thanking me almost hourly for what I and Becky are doing, but it is all pretty easy. Next week may pose a problem with Becky going back to school and not available during the day, but I am hoping my mother will come over here for a day or two if she needs help...we can figure that out this weekend when I see how she does after the surgery.
Soup sounds good, boffler. (My computer wants to auto correct your name to Baffler!)
Elaine, Pat has a PC she really likes. You could ask her on Facebook what the name is. I know she got it from Amazon.
Well, I better get moving. My day and schedule has been thrown off a bit In my head by all the stuff with my mom...I need to get back into full daycare mode.

Sharon,, just keep planning those Needed Things in the garage.. you may end up with the greatest storage garage in the country.. shelves, hooks.. pegs. maybe even some little drawers .. boot rack..

Paula ,, I missed a post ..I did read you Mom took a fall but whats the surgery for?... if Mom is half as sweet as you... she will do whatever you want her to do.. to make it easiest .. maybe the sounds of children will even be nice...

Elaine.. Granddaughter I was referring to was Shawna, the # 2 girl. they have been engaged 2 years . , bought a house ,fixer-upper. together. and will get married "one Day". I'm Not really happy with that.. but .Nana loves her anyhow....... the older, by a year ,Granddaughter was engaged.. but the young man back away.. they are friends. go to same church, etc. but he could see he was not ready for next step.. ... of course , he is now on my S*** list.. . hurt MY grd daughter....boo hiss..

Soooo......on the first leg of our flight, the male attendant slammed the door shut, then announced we can't use our devices until we're 10 minutes into the flight. And then someone said they couldn't get connected, and he said the connection to their WiFi is broken, sorry; but we do have 3 restrooms for your convenience."

Huh? What's the connection between WiFi and restrooms?????? What am I missing?


Subsequently, on the next leg of the flight....nothing's broken. There's enough WiFi to read what's already on your device, but if you want to use the Internet an app for buying into their WiFi for Internet use for pay will pop up. So E needed to find something for the lady attendant, and bought a short period of usage, which I'm using up now.
