Good morning..I am up early thanks to arm pain and cori being loud...

I am not sure what exactly have done to my arm...it started a couple of months back with my elbow..that day after work I went and had to xrayed and everything was told tennis elbow...when I described the pain to mom she said it can't be tennis elbow..so I kept wrapped like the doctor told me for a week...well its bothering me worse and almost all the time..even woke me up the other night...mom thinks maybe I need it adjusted by a Chiropractor due to something being pinched...will look into getting an appointment with one for Wednesday..I am off work that day...They basically layed us off for a day because of it being the slow time of year in our stores.

Work today...I hope it goes fast...also need to get groceries.

Good Morning...they say we have some single digit weather heading our way this week, so I am gathering my 'warm' recipes to have handy along with my flannel bottoms and thermal tops...nothing better than being warm, cozy and good food inside when it is freezing outside...but today I have shrimp I need to use up so it will be shrimp alfredo with broccoli which I also need to use...

Did not get the undecorating finished yesterday so today I have already started will be done in no time..

Beth I woke up with what feels like wry neck apparently I slept wrong got out the muscle rub and heating pad...really hurts when I forget and move the wrong way.

Not much else planned today except little by little catching up....we bought our daughter a really nice coffee pot for Christmas but she said they are still using their Bunn coffee maker we bought them years and years ago it outlasted their Keurig we bought them, so I said just take it back and get something you want or need...well she sent me a picture of the new coffee pot sitting on the counter with a full pot of coffee, seems the Bunn coffee maker died...what perfect timing, I sent a text message back, Mother's intuition...

Well need to take meds, find something for breakfast and then get busy...Have a great day one and all...

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Hello everybody and happy New Year! We are having thunderstorms and it really is yucky out there. I am supposed to have a friend pick me up for our book club, but I don't know whether I'm going to be able to do it with the weather the way it is.

I stopped making New Year's resolutions years ago. Not because I'm perfect, but because I am so imperfect and don't never keep them. Have any of you made any resolutions?

I have an appointment with my cardiologists in the morning. I don't know whether he will be able to do the vein closure surgery that needs to be done because of problems with the vein. I have already had 3 vein closure surgeries.

Earl Grey, my brother is cat, is having heart problems. He has a defective heart muscle and it's causing congestive heart failure. Chuck and Linda love their cats and this is tough for them. Also, Jessica's other grandmother is in the cardiac unit at the hospital in Knoxville. 2017 hasn't started out on a good footing. I hope and pray it gets better.

I have not started to take down my decorations, but I have time yet.

I hope your arm gets better, Beth. Why does your mom think that the doctor was wrong? Just be
      careful.

Wake up all you sleepy heads. Have a great day and I hope your weather is a lot better than mine is.
"God loves us so much, He gave us friends!" Amen! http://roundersonline.org/core/images/smilies/smile.png

Mom thinks the doctor is wrong because of how I described the pain to her..she has had tennis elbow before and my symptoms are not at all like hers. I have an appointment Wednesday with a new Chiropractor

Had a wonderful weekend...i needed that! My sister spent an entire day on the computer ordering tee shirts that matched our personalities...mine said 'ever wonder after talking to some people who ties their shoes?' And my neice's said 'you see this face and yet you are still talking'. We had a ball with those shirts! Everyone got one! The house was stuffed full of people and my nephew and his family also stayed over and the kids (6,4,2) wanted new Years Eve party. My nephew and Bil were the only ones who made it to midnight...the rest of us dropped like fly's! Today Andrew is coming by for the day or so I was told late last night. He doesn't go back to school until Wednesday and that is the day I will start cooking again. we are also suppose to have bitter cold this week and like Sharon I need to grocery shop for some comfort meal items. This morning it is foggy so I will wait until afternoon. No new years resolutions for me but will try to stay positive. Hopefully I will make it through the day with that! The fog actually seems to be deepening so think I'll have another cup of coffee while I make a store list. Maybe crawl back into bed for a while..hey, vacation is not over here until the kid goes back to school! Hope everyone has a fantastic New Year and thinks positive!!

Good morning! I had crazy dreams last night....pretty psychedelic! Must be the nyquil! Any way, I don't feel very rested so there is probably a nap in my future. We had a great day with the extended family yesterday,. One sister missing.....,they are in Florida for 6 or 8 weeks. Enjoyed seeing everyone, seeing how the little ones have grown and all that.

I intend to be completely lazy today.....I've had 1 or both of the guys home every day for what seems like 2 weeks. They both go back to work tomorrow so I am just taking it as it comes today. Tomorrow I'll catch up some laundry and make a list of what I need for Jay's birthday cake.

Hope you all have a loveyl day! Hugs to all!
Good friends are like diamonds...precious and rare.

        Good morning!
It looks like another overcast day right now. We did have more overnight rain. I don't mind the rain, but I'm really missing the sunshine. Maybe some of those clouds will break later today. It's supposed to be 59° today.
Boffler, I don't envy your single digits one bit.

Yesterday was a do-nothing day. I stayed in my jammie's and read. Today I need to wash my pants and shirts, E may go too the gym. I'm still careful getting around. My tummy is still scabbed here and there in the incision area, and I can feel it. Otherwise my "parts" are back to functioning in normal fashion again, even if it feels different from before. Hard to explain, but surgery does that. The doctor had removed some intestinal areas that had adhesions.......in a way, it sounds like some dieting surgery, it's not but I have lost several pounds. My appetite drops mid-meal often enough. I'm still getting used to me with the alterations.

So, I had hoped to go shopping today, but I do need to get clean clothes to appear. I wished I'd bought more sweaters. I am cold a lot, and I shouldn't be cold in many of our "winter digits". Oh well, a lot of poorer people will enjoy the many clothing items I discarded to Goodwill. I'm afraid that now my JCPenny outfits won't fit, and I need to try some on today because of my weight loss. Well, I don't need to pack much for MI, as we won't be seeing anybody twice so I can wear my most useful stuff more than once.

Hey....my mom used to say "However New Years Day turns out, it'll be that way all year." She believed it. So we always had a nice meal, nice clothes, etc., that day.
Our meals were "grazing" all day yesterday, I didn't dress up. We will see.
E said he hoped we wouldn't have rain all year long. I replied, Really??? Would that be so bad??? Wouldn't it be nice to see greener vegetation around, rather than brownish green??? He said I had a good point.

As for resolutions.....years ago my resolution was to not have resolutions.... Haven't broken that one since. 😄

Beth, be careful of your arm.

        Maxi...comfort food....mac & cheese!! Yum!

Well, let's see what today brings. I'm rooting for the sun. ----- OMG, It's started peeking through now!!! Yay!
        Have a great day!

Now you have a peek at what Aunt Janet & I are whining about when we say we NEED SOME SUNSHINE! It gets you down after a day or so.

Oh Happy New Year to you all...I thought about posting and I guess hat is as far as it went. I just read your posts and glad to see so many doing well.
I have the tv on and ready for the Rose Parade. We were going to drive down to Chico today but it is supposed to rain and storm around here and decided to wait for a good weather day. Becky wants to see where her classes are.
Today is a major get things picked up and back into their tubs and containers. Tomorrow will be back to daycare and a regular routine. Being off has been relaxing and seeing family was great, but I am ready to get back into the daily routine and add a few things to keep it interesting.
Have a good day and keep posting! so good to read what you are all up to!

Good Morning! Very slow start around here. Quiet. Nice.

Yesterday was a mixed bag. The day before I prepped like crazy so that when I got home from church yesterday I just had to turn on burns for most of it. Everyone was here except my one niece who wasn't feeling good. We ate & then the guys watched the Steeler's game....they won! The last 3 weeks have been nail bitters. They pull the win out at the very last seconds. We had pie at half time & after the game they all had hot dogs that we cooked in the pork & sauerkraut during the afternoon. Nobody had to go home & cook. The ladies played different card games.

Kathy did come with her new "friend" Mike. He was nice enough but same mold just different face. They left around 2pm to go to his Grandma's....but they are ONLY friends.

Got very sad news during the afternoon. Aunt Maye's/Janet's grand-dog Shelby who they babysit when Karens' are traveling died up at camp yesterday. It was a shock. Everyone is sad.

Today I'm just slowly putzing along. Becca stayed overnight and will be leaving after lunch to go home & go to work. Will probably see her again in a couple of weeks for my birthday. Not cooking...leftovers for everyone.

          Have a good one all!

Cookie....we've had a good long week of dreary days. It apparently has overrun it's "limit" as we usually get, like, 360 days of sun a year. There's still several days of "partly cloudy" ahead of us.
Not that I hadn't grown up in such circumstances,,,,,half of Michigan's year are gray days. Particularly winters with its grey and yellow snow.
I'm just feeling cold and b#tchy with our current weather. 😉
