Good Morning, Friends.

Woke at 4 but did not want to get out of bed so read news on ipad. Big news: Pipeline has been halted. But who knows for how long?

Thinking of Sharon and her kitty this morning. Probably because King is always the first to greet me. Hope the surgery and recovery are easy on him (and Sharon).
Thank God for Vet Doctors. We have used our share over the years, even taking our Poodle to Tx A & M, where docs in training saved her life.

Weather here is not looking too pleasant, but we will not hit the teens, maxie - at least this week. Hope your Sunday trip went well and you got some good cafe food. LOL

Back to cancer clinic for Monday bloodwork. Then taking car to repair shop. SOMEONE dented the fender trying to get a $1 drink at McDonald's drive thru. That drink is costing me $501 - our deductible.

Pray for me....I am in a lot of pain...was up most of the night....migraine from Saturday night came back with horrible abdominal pain. Was in bed most of yesterday....started feeling really bad after I got home from Bible Study....going to try to go to work...not making any promises that I will be able to stay.... Just please pray for me that this is not something sersious....I will go to the er after work...or if I have to leave work early...

Good CLOUDY cold morning. I NEED SOME SUNSHINE!!!!

Yesterday I finally got the 2 carrot cakes baked. A new customer came to pick up her order and we had fun. I made her up a variety sample tray to share with her co-workers and she taste tested as we went along. She ended up buying 2 more doz cookies. I love talking cookies with people. Spent the late afternoon & evening at the church for the live nativity. I was in the kitchen helping serve refreshments to the kids in the nativity and the guests that came down afterwards. Man, we went thru a LOT of cookies. The leftovers are going to be used for next Sunday's music evening.

This morning I need to bake 2 pies and make a cookie tray for my brother Ray. Tonight is his Bible study's Christmas party and he was assigned dessert. Not sure what else I'll get into today. I need to get lab work sometime this week.

Good morning Ladyebug, Bethina, and Cookielady. I'm back. I've certainly missed all of you. I'm retired from work now and so is hubby. I will have to get caught up on what is happening on the forum, but I've already posted to the Garden Forum. Hello to all yet to post today. It's good to be back.

Good morning everyone.

Karlinann, good to see you back. Doesn't it feel good that you no longer have to live by an alarm clock? Congrats on your and hubby's retirement. Just don't "kill" each other.

Was going to the lake to spread some grass seed, but they took the snow out of our forecast. Will wait until my planting can be "hidden" by some snow.

I guess I'll do another day of "do nothing". I did go to Church yesterday morning, then went to Vincennes for lunch. Stopped by Lowes to get a new kitchen faucet, but of course the one I wanted was not on the shelf. It is scheduled to be there tomorrow, so will stop by there after seeing the spine specialist.

good get better thoughts for Rufus and for Bethina! I know how much we love our vet. We have followed her from her former group to her own office and I can't even keep track of how many of our pets she has taken care of.
Elaine, I heard that the pipeline is being routed around the reservation and I will tag you on Facebook to a link my ND/MN niece posted. Very interesting article without the emotional point of view I keep seeing on FAcebook. I have definitely found that Facebook is NOT a news source...
Anyway, Good Monday morning! I have a washing machine repair guy coming today. Something is leaking water and I hope it is a simple fix. It will be during nap time...so who knows how many will actually sleep.
We got our tree out of storage yesterday after church, but couldn't find the tubs with all of our ornaments. I had combined a second storage unit with my friend's things (that I had been paying for) and her tubs and boxes have added tot he confusion. Hers are full of ornaments, but the ones I could use are in pinks, golds and teal and not my colors. The rest are 100's of Precious Moments and not my style at all.) So we will use the ones I found and then use a lot of pine cones and berry garlands and do the rustic forest style Becky has been wanting to do. I llhave a 5 gallon paint bucket full of rose pine cones that look like a flat,opened up flower, rather than the regular cone shape. And a lot of the regular ones, too.
I best get moving. I need to turn on lights and unlock the door in the daycare.

Good morning...
I woke early at 4, but managed to get back to sleep eventually. Then I got up at 7:30.
I feel nervous today. It's clear-liquid-diet and special meds today. Jello is not what I'd consider breakfast.
I'll get the final instructions about surgery & time this afternoon. Having read over their folder of information, I do have a few questions to ask.

Today is clear, sunny, and "cold" here. Considering the high temp (65°) only lasts an hour or so, I consider it a cold day anyway. So much for desert living.

Sharon, hope your cat does well with its surgery today.

Beth, you're in my thoughts today. Hope you're well soon.

D. has dr. appt at 11.. as usual Dr. will be running late. and we might get out of there by 12.30.. then go fill the scripts. and possibly go to Walmart for a walk through. getting ideas. Have to get the 3 piano kids mini gift today.. as this is the last week of lessons for them.. for the month..

made arrangement with the gd Daug. for bun making and Sun, cookie making.. will check and see if all ingredients we need are in the cupboard.

Good Morning all! Hello Karlinann. Yesterday was a long day but such a nice visit we had. Scott took us for a mid afternoon meal at Cracker Barrel outside of Paducah in honor of my birthday so we got to rehash our visit with Carol. Then we separated and went our separate ways. He had an hour and half drive home but we had three and a half. Andrew's mother sent a text with picture of the snow shower we missed here at home...glad we missed it. Snow is not a thing of beauty to me!! Need to get moving and shower, dress. Having a very late start this morning. Jo thinking of you and Beth get well soon. Hope kitty gets some needed relief. Another cold and dreary morning here.

Good evening to all....been a hectic day all the way around....started with early morning coffee and two kitties wanting feed of course and of course no food allowed for Rufus...the meowing from both was driving me crazy....then at 8:00 a.m. dropped Rufus off at vet clinic came home got a shower and go myself ready for dental appt...after that back home heard from vet surgery went well, he had 8 stones...then a phone call from my sister that my other sister that had the knee replacement is not doing well at all, her COPD is really bad and her knee is infected, they are tying to clear it up with a really strong antibiotic if that doesn't work they will go back in again...then off to the vet to see my kitty, he was still kind of out of it and hooked to an IV pole....from there to the grocery store, now home getting some supper fixed....but wanted to say thanks to all of you for thinking of me and my kitty, they are family....Karliann, so glad to see you back again...Kitty has to spend the night so hopefully in the morning will get the call to come and get him...have to buy special food for him now...Hills prescription diet c/d for urinary...and he only likes fish flavored foods...and you have to have a prescription from the vet to buy it. See ya'll tomorrow...

Hey, again......
You probably won't see me posting for a day or two at least.
Tomorrow morning I have to get up way too early, still-dark time a.m. We have to be at the hospital by 7:30, so we leave here by 6:30 (still well before sunrise.). My surgery is scheduled for 9:00.
I didn't want to go out in the cold weather damp from a shower. So my shampoo & shower is this afternoon....Have to use hospital soap; can't use any nail polish, lotions, deodorant, perfumes, or flammable hair products.

Asked about length of stay, and they can't tell me anything til they see how I do.
Asked about using my port, using the medicated cream with it, and they can't tell me anything til I get there.
