    Good Saturday Morning, everyone must be sleeping in Today, 08:09 AM

    Good Morning...been awake since 3:00 a.m. really tired of this waking up so early, hoping when the cat is better I will sleep better...

    Well I made my third trip to the vet yesterday and I was not as nice as I usually am, demanded that he be given an xray and blood work, that I do not believe his urinary problem is stress related, same cool calm house we have always had, we have went away other times and he has not been affected by it, pay good money for someone to come in and take care of them, same people that have always done it...so I was tired of all the changes I made and getting iv fluid, etc., etc. he was no getting better, in fact worse...so they did what I ask and found he has bladder stones, well no wonder he has been meowing constantly, wanting to urinate in strange places, scooting his butt on the floor. So he is scheduled for surgery to remove them on Monday...I told them they need to listen to people when they tell them they disagree with their diagnosis, we know our pets...much like we did our own children...so this has been going on for over a month, I am worn out, nerves are shot...and lack of sleep from worrying...

    Hubby is supposed to put some boards on top of my kitchen cabinets today so I can do a little decorating of them for the holidays. We have cathedral ceilings in there so plenty of room, plus I had electric put in up there with a switch to turn them off and on down below...hope it works out...other than that, pay a few bills and just relax..

    I made lasagna two nights ago, used those noodles you don't have to cook, well let's just say we did not like the taste at all, so down the disposal it went, will not use those again, now still wanting lasagna so will go buy the 'real' noodles...

    Have a great day one and all.

    Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

    Good morning everyone.

    Had to go to eye Dr. yesterday as I couldn't get the "crudies" out of my eyes yesterday. Seems as though that I have a bacteria on the edge of my eyelids. Hitting it aggressively with antibiotics and eye drops.

    Today will be spent inside as it is a little chilly out. We are forecasted to get 1-3 inches of snow Wed. night then again on the following Sunday. Amazing how a weather change hit as the first of Dec. started. Just thankful that all the predicted mess started after I got to be with family in F.W., and home to be safe.

    Hope everyone enjoys their day.
    Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

      Well at least the 'crudies' are better than having 'cooties'.

    Good morning!
    We have 41° right now, but it'll be 63° later today. (Still cold to me). Haven't seen the forecasted rain from yesterday, and it's only a slight chance for today.
    No plans for today.
    I did finish our holiday cards and gift-checks yesterday. It was a 2-day chore, but I'm glad it's done. One less thing to do this month.

    Tomorrow I start the prep for surgery by cutting out certain pills and supplements. Monday I'm on clear liquids, and whatever prescriptions I have to take that day (2 different pills, 3x) and call the hospital for surgery time.
    Mid-month, middle DD has a court appointment for Settlement Resolution ...her husband walked out 2 yrs ago, has lied to his lawyer about the situation (but DD has a ton of paperwork and bank statements to prove it), and we've had to give her some financial help for her and GD during that time. The woman he's been living with and supporting has a whole new story about who he really is or what he does. TV could use this information in soap operas!
    Then later comes Christmas (I have no idea if anyone is planning anything for family).
    But I'm guessing E's family's Memorial will be after that.
    For me, it'll be a busy month.

    Well, I have a couple of letters to write today. The rest of today is anybody's guess.
    Have a great day.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Create a beautiful day wherever you go.
      Good morning
      been up since 3 am also... I heard David making "noises".. he was having trouble getting his balance .He had the three prong cane but was still "falling backwarks" .. his balance problem ..is now a guessing game to his Dr.. His Heart Dr. guess was the Spinal stenosis has gotten worse as he has aged.. and the nerves that send the signals to leg muscles are getting pinched... He takes pain pills for his aching back . so the pinching would.. the pcp , suggested strongly he go to Balance Therapy.. but D. turned that down ... sooo.
      he may end up with one of those front wheel pushing walkers . unless he just wants to set at home... I just get nervous about it. I see a great fall coming, . broken hip,leg or something in his future. and have decided I am a lousy caregiver.... at least of stubborn, grumpy old man..
      we are attending the funeral of one of our " gang" of couples ... we used to get together to play music. or picnic. around outside fire .. also played cards ...there were 6 couples in the Gang... and there are only 4 of us ..D.and I are the only couple left and 2 widows.. we would invite others ... but most of those have passed too.. Getting old is getting lonely
      Jostoy... stay in ,stay warm. and hope the eyes clear up fast.
      Sharon. slow down , don't stress the decorating and glad to hear you took on the Vets office... one of the great privileges of "older".. is you now get to argue.. say what you thing to school teachers.. sales people. clerks ... even Doctors... and in my early 70, I add Ministers to my list... Haven't added State Police yet....
      HI Elaine... was hoping your cold weather would have dipped to 20.... but it didnt did it?.
      JoG.I tackled the cards this weekend .. get in the mail Monday... then try to get my mind into shopping mode.... will have you in prayer this week , ( surgery).
      and hI to you all ..will be back sometime today...
      Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.
        Tonight we are going to the hockey game and tomorrow the boys and I are taking a fast trip to Kentucky. My husband had a cousin he was very close to and she is ill in a nursing home. Scott is in contact with her daughters and it was decided we should make the trip. We last saw them in February. It is a 4 hour drive but we will leave early and I guess come home late tomorrow. It worked out nicely that both my boys are on vacation and we can go together. Took Andrew coat shopping yesterday and he walked into the store uncooperative and I heard Sierra tell him to shut up and get over it...grandma says you are wearing a coat so you are getting a coat...shut up. And he did and in fact fell in love with a coat that he wore home last night. He 'hates' coats and they are 'to hot' and he 'hates zippers'..bla bla. I have been up since 4:30. That seems to be my wakeup time but I lounge in bed watching the news and hallmark movies for a while. Just think what I could accomplish if i just got out bed mornings. I do need to run home and cash a check this morning since I had not counted on taking this trip tomorrow. Guess I had better get moving. Almost all the wrapping is finished and I have a gift card and a last gift for Sierra to buy. I am not quite ready to start ho ho hoing but at least I should be ready. Enjoy this Saturday. Cold but sunny here today.
          good morning! We have the same temperatures as JoG. That 60* with a North wind we have is chilly!
          It is my turn with some others to clean at the church today. The guy in charge of our team likes that I always want to start at 7:00am. There is another couple who come a little later, but I want to get in and get done. I clean the bathrooms but not the floors in there and feel like that is enough for my fair share. I used to vacuum the chapel but my shoulder hurts too bad after such a big area and such a heavy vacuum. The church lprovides all the cleaning supplies but I prefer my own gloves so always take some. Daycare uses gloves for changing and wiping noses and I am just used to the ones I buy.
          There is a daycare child's birthday party this afternoon and an appointment this morning after cleaning and then comes the grocery shopping.
          Oh, I have to say: last night just before going to bed I saw that Stuart's wife posted on my page onFAcebook. Basically said that by the way Stuart turned out I must have been a wonderful parent. And then posted a graphic about Mother in Love not Law...it was such a great surprise. Jenni isn't as sentimental as I am so this was the most she has ever posted so openly. I feel like Christmas came early!
          Well, I better get going and will check back here later to see what you all have done.
          Have a wonderful day!
            Good Morning! I NEED SUNSHINE...ok...that's been said...a little heat with it too would be nice, but that's not going to happen on either account in the near future.
            Yesterday was very productive. Sue arrived and we kicked butt. Got all the cookie doughs baked off & most rec'd their final details too. We then went down to the big freezer & took out all the bagged up cookies for orders and separated into stacks for each person. That was a big weight off my shoulders and it gets done so much faster with two people. After she left & I had lunch, I went to the bank & Giant Eagle. Decided on my way home to go pick up my Rx's in Saxonburg. I was holding my breath to see how much this new insulin was going to cost me....$0....thank God! Decided then to pop in at the General Store to see if they were going to need anything. They got a surprise visit from the Health Dept yesterday morning because someone turned them in. They have a week to comply with everything, including producing all vendor's licenses....guess who doesn't have a license?...me. So no more baking & selling there. I know I'm not the only vendor that didn't have a license. Someday soon maybe. Puttered the rest of the day away in the kitchen and did laundry. Cooked dinner and had a relaxing evening. This getting dark so early sure does drain ones energy.
            This morning is going to be spent cleaning before going to the kitchen. I've got the beds stripped & redone & the last load of laundry in. This afternoon I plan to make 3 PB pies and 2 carrot cakes for the freezer. I also hope to start calling customers that told me they were planning on ordering. If nobody wants anything else, I guess I'm done until it's time to make trays later this month.
            Sharon...glad they are FINALLY getting to the bottom of this.
            Have a good one all!
