    Good Morning!

5:22 here and super cold. So cold here we've had a fire blazing for the last 3 days. Feels wonderful!

We met with John's Cardio yesterday for his annual. No changes with his heart. Always good to hear. Had lunch at Mexican Cafe - Fish tacos - Excellent! Good day altogether.

Venturing out again this morning to get John a haircut and then pick up a few things at the market.

Have a good day, Everyone. #hugstoeachofyou.

      Good chilly 34degree morning ..

going to go up to 36 today.. heat wave coming thru!. had planned on being home all day... but...... I see the library books are about due. one reason I love the Nook.. click ,click and its here or Gone...... except the whole process of downloading books has been "updated". and left me out in the cold... DIL Terry will be here this evening and maybe figure out what needs to be done ... I hope so!.

love the picture SassyG.... when we had some little mice. K.D. Kat would lay and stare at the floor under the kitchen stove.. and thats where they were!...she got three of the little buggers .. and left them as presents for me .

Elaine ,what is super cold in Texas?.... happy to hear Johns heart is good.. Davids heart checkup was like that too..

got into cupboard and brought out all the Yarn leftovers I have accumulated.. trying to picture a way I can crochet them into a afghan .. an afghan of many colors.!.. want to divide my winter time into Reading, Puzzles. and crocheting , ( if my poor right thumb , the one that was broken,, can take the work )... once The C. day is over.. the house work gets put on hold until spring!.. and hopefully ,the many trips to town..

hello to you all. I will be back to read your posts.
Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

Good morning...I have the day off today...its cousin's day! One of my favorite days of the year!!! I get to spend time with 3 of my favorite cousins... My mom and my cousin Krys came last night and we all minus my brother in law went to my favorite hamburger place....Today another cousin and one of my aunts will join us....for a day of shopping...then this evening their sister will join us for supper....she usually is with us for the day of shopping too but this year she has to work...used all her vacation time this summer...to go on a family trip and then to move her son to college...

A funny cori story so last night she got up on my bed with her toy...and was playing hard...I wanted to go to sleep was already comfy and everything...had already taken my glasses off..and so I reached down blindly to find the toy and toss it...well I tossed her favorite toy mouse into her water bowl...so I ended up have to dry it at 11 last night....or listen to her.

      Everyone have a great day

        Good morning everyone.

Elaine, poor King just couldn't get rid of that mouse for you. But it appeared it kept his attention for a while.

Got the call from the installer yesterday afternoon. Counter tops will be installed on the 12th. Maybe that and the backsplash will get done before Christmas leaving the painting to be done early Jan.

        Everyone have a great day.

Good Morning, like many of you its a chilly morning, it isn't officially here yet by calendar dates but by temps I think it is...

Got my hair all done yesterday, little bit of a different style, I had the basic outline cut for her already she just had to trim it up then get my coloring and waxing done..Should be good for the retirement party at work for the hubby, his Christmas party and also the holidays...He said his official last day is the 22nd. His anxiety over retiring is spilling over into home life and can't say that is a good thing, LOL...

Well I must get off of here, so many things I need to get done, all those little things that add up...

Stay in, stay warm and listen to some relaxing Christmas tunes...

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

          Good morning.
The sun isn't quite up yet this morning. It's 37° out right now, but should get to 59 later today. Rain is forecasted today.....we will see!
I'm feeling a bit off this morning. Might go back to bed. A bit lightheaded, not quite nauseated.

Nothing much planned for today. Am writing out greeting cards and checks for the holiday. Reminding friends and relatives we seldom hear from that we're still alive and well. It'll take me all day to finish this little chore.

Hope you all have a great day. Stay warm!

cold here this morning also..in the 20s. Andrew gets out of school at noon so think we will be coat shopping and maybe start on his Christmas list. Leaving that to his father because arguing with a rock head in a store is not fun or even very Christmasy...and we are just talking the coat part! Still have one more gift on my list because we never made it to the mall yesterday. Son browsed our time away in Bed Bath and Beyond...he loves the kitchen section but doesn't cook. I see nothing of interest in the kitchen department and I am suppose to be the cook. Maybe that lack of interest is why I am not a good cook? Still lots of preparation to do around here for the holidays but I do not seem to be in a hurry. Blues won last night and my favorite player had a hat trick so that was exciting. We are going to the game tomorrow night so I am excited about that. Cold and sunny out, furnace is running and need to hide that darn Elf. I thought I had him tucked away yesterday and that kid came in and spied him instantly and then I had to pretend not to find him...Paula, I have looked on Pintrest for hiding ideas...some people are so creative. Need to find something for supper tonight. Unless we grab a bite while coat shopping. Feed the kid leftover chili and then he wanted mac and cheese so he was happy with his favorite meal. One more night and I am free on meal planning for a weekend! If I won the lottery I could pay a cook!!!!!!! Must remember to buy a ticket and hope i win the big one!

I have been surprised at all the different, creative things people think up and put on Pinterest! I am not that creative, but can follow someone else's idea pretty well. And sometimes their creativity jogs my brain and I can put my own twist on things.

Good morning and I love you all!
I didn't see that I had messages until this morning and just read what JoG and boffler said and also the hugs from Donna this week. Thanks and it surprises me how easily and deeply I feel the friendship on this board
I totally forgot I had a meeting last night until someone reminded me about 3:00pm...so it was a quick rush after daycare to get ready and go. My friend said she would drive and we had a great visit up to Anderson (about 20 miles) and back. That was about it for me...I did resist the super yummy desserts that were set up afterwards. I took a brownie with raspberries on top, but gave it to Helen for her husband who was home with their children. I was looking longingly at the cheesecake with lemon curd on top, but walked past and this morning I am happy I did because I have lost all of the Thanksgiving pounds. Amazing what a little pie, cake, rolls and stuffing can do when you have it all in a few days..
t is cold here and yesterday we had a wind comeup out of nowhere...super cold out back with the kids but they love being outside so I had the baby really bundled up in his stroller and I kept walking around the yard with him.
I have sauce on the stove for spaghetti today and that will be a real warm them up meal. .
Elaine, I get nervous when our cat sits and stares...I think our mouse problem is all cleared up, but I know Timmy knows where he saw it and is hoping another will appear...
Hope you all have a great Friday! Stay warm and drink a cup of your favorite beverage. Daycare guys are loving our hot cocoa time. I am using upthe can of whipped cream with theirs.
I always make whipped cream from the carton of cream but since we were going to the rental house, I went with the can. and I don't need that calling my name everytime I open the fridge!
Donna, I am making cookies for the shelter this weekend. If I make 52 cookies I am happy...52 Dozen!!!! Wow!
Have a good day and think good thoughts!

Good Morning! My feet hit the floor running & I'm just now getting to sit down. Had to finish cleaning up the kitchen (Cork hand washed dishes and started the dishwasher) and pack Blaise's lunch. Got him out the door & Sue arrived. We work together like a well oiled machine. We got 3 kinds of cookies baked off, put finishing touches on a couple kinds from yesterday, and got the gobbs assembled. While I was finishing up something & getting ready down in the garage, Sue washed up all the dishes. We then headed down to the garage and sorted all the bags of cookies into orders so that when someone calls, I can just go to a stack and be ready for them. Feels so good. Love being organized. Now I'm baking off the ginger bread men that's on trays and I can be finished if I want to be for the day. HA! After lunch I'm heading to the bank and grocery store. Today's payday. They give him the check Wed, but it's not good until Friday. I HAVE to do laundry this afternoon. I may start on some of the bar cookies...we'll see.

Last night I finally sat down and went to the MarketPlace to see if we qualified for insurance again this year. We didn't. Have to apply for a medical card. I'm hopeful next year will be better. He wants that golfing job so bad that he applied for. I won't have a husband again for about 9 months of the year, but he'll be happy.

Paula....those Amish Sugar Cookies would be great for the shelter.

              Have a good one all!

Good morning, all Icy this AM at 27º on my porch when I hot up. Blinds are still drawn but there is a bit of cool air coming through the window and cooling my ankles even though I have on my long underwear.

Laundry day for me and the doglet as she needs a bath and her toenails trimmed. I am running out of winter outerwear for some reason. I even have two new sweaters that I wore for the first time but managed to get food on them. Waiting till it warms up a bit before I go down to the laundry room.

Thanks for mentioning spaghetti sauce, Paula. I have been planning on a big batch to go in the freezer but the meats are still in the freezer. I use both ground beef and Italian sausage in mine.

Donna, all those cookies! Wow! I used to do that. now it's one batch at a time but I do want to get some made for the community room.

Better get started. Lots to do today if I can finish things.
