Good morning....ready to have my own space back!! Its not been too bad yet...just ready to have my space be my space..

Work has been pretty ok so far this week....my department is crazy light from a sale we had over the week end....but thats a good thing because it needed thinned out so much more than what I was being told to. The eye appointment that I thought was Monday is actually today...I am wondering if I don't need a new script...

Church this evening...I was going to stay home and just enjoy having the house to myself for a few hours...but my sis says thats not a good reason for skipping church...

Yesterday after I went to work...I guess some one used to the stove top and then my cori kitty walked across while it was still hot....she seems fine...but still...I was told it was my fault it happened for not training her.

Good Morning, they say it will be our last nice day, it is 52 right now, but tomorrow supposed to be a big change, ever heard the word snowflakes...
Still waking up in the wee hours of the morning wish that would stop....not feeling the greatest this morning, can tell a change in weather is coming the way my head feels, headache and sick to my stomach...I am dressed and heading out the door, hubby sent me an email telling me tomorrow was treat day at work, he had the wrong day on his calendar....sooooo, I must go buy what I need to make his treat...will do ham & cheese sliders and buckeye brownie cookies....Everyone have a good day...
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

      Good morning all.

Got home yesterday around noon. Brought back something from my great-great niece which I didn't really want. A really bad cold. It has settled both in my head and chest. First I've had since my surgery so had to talk to a pharmacist to see what I could take without making me drunk or wasting my money.

By the time I got home, my head was hurting so bad, and I don't have headaches. The pharmacist had told me in F.W. to take a 1/2 tablet of Tylenol, making sure I had eaten something before taking it.

Since I'm "not up to par", I will just bid you all a good day.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

Good Morning. It's a wet one out there.

Yesterday was very productive. On Sunday I mixed up enough cookie dough to make 13 kinds of cookies. I figured it would take us until Friday to accomplish that. NOT! Today I'm going to have to mix up more dough because I have Sue scheduled for tomorrow & Friday. Today I have to finish making the filled cookies and put finishing touches on other cookies. Maxie...the oatmeal cookies were a bomb...they are going to the veterans' nursing home down the hill from me...and we'll be redoing them tomorrow.

This morning I have a doctor's appt. Have to ice the carrot cake I'm taking in for their weekly goodie from Dr. N. Make a quick trip to Aldi's & then come home to start on the cookies. I'm hoping this morning before leaving to pay bills. Started yesterday only to find out I needed to order checks. That's never quick & easy. The price looks cheap until the add on the S&H and taxes and you see it's going to take 3 weeks to get here. Ended up with Vista and they'll be here in about a week & a half. I have enough checks to pay the utility bills.

Kathy got good news yesterday. Thank the Lord!!!!...though she doesn't, but I do. Anyways, her transmission IS slipping, but if she goes easy on it, it can last her another 6-12 mos or have the transmission rebuilt. I told her to start looking for another vehicle, but it's not something they have to rush right out and do tomorrow. She whined that she can't afford to buy a car. Told her to get a loan like everyone else.

((Jostoy)) take it easy & hope you feel better soon......you too Sharon!!!! Bethina...it's NOT your fault. Cats are idiots and they don't learn. Look how many times they get shut in the same room or closet and don't learn. You might need to put those metal covers over your burners even though they aren't normal burners. But then again the cat will probably play with them & knock them off.

        Have a good one all!

totally! NOT your fault! And Cori will learn. Just smile when someone says something and brush it off. Easier said than done, I know.

        Good morning.

Well, I lost my original post! The site said "Working" when I tried posting, but nothing happened.

Jostoy & Sharon, hope you're both feeling better soon.

Beth, let's hope that Cori learns from her experience. Otherwise, get a spray bottle of plain water, and whenever she's on a surface she shouldn't be, give her a squirt and say "No". As most cats don't like to get wet, that is her reminder to not be where she shouldn't be. My kids say it works! I never had that problem with my cats, though. Cori really shouldn't have free reign of being on countertops or tables, either...it's not healthy. Those paws have been in the litter box!

Our nights are in the 30's & 40's right now...days in the 50's & 60's. Yes, you can freeze to death in the AZ desert! 🌵

Yesterday we walked around Target, Kohls, Joann's & Safeway stores. Yes, I bought a few things at each store. (My surgeon wants me walking a lot.). Today it's a trip to COSTCO and Ace Hardware. Tomorrow I'll start using the treadmill.
It's too cold out to wear muumuus. Wearing pants and tunics is warmer. However, I have to roll the pants to under my waistline if I don't want to block the stupid bag. Or I can wear the pants above my waistline, and tuck the bag inside the bag. Except I found that the bag has little expansion room in the pant leg. One more week, and I won't have the bag (but will probably need healing time before my clothes fit me correctly). I hope that won't take too long.

We found out our phones weren't working yesterday. E will be calling the new service to find out what's going on. No wonder I hadn't heard from the hospital. I need to call them today, and get my surgery information.

One of E's iPads is giving him problems...it's just outdated and can't keep up very well now. So I gave him the one I got for my birthday, as it's too large and unwieldy for me. He was glad to get it, but he has gotten me a new iPad Pro in a better size for me. That will replace my other iPad which is also slowing down. I just need to transfer my stuff from the old one to the new one....or, more accurately, he does this for me. But I don't want more than 2 iPads. One for use while the other is charging up. But I'll still get a laptop for Christmas....it replaces my desktop computer. I also have a Kindle, but since the Kindle App is available, I can read off my iPads anyway. I'm no tech, and my understanding of these gadgets is pretty vague. But E is my techie so these are heaped upon me. But he can put the extras to good use, until they're useless.

Well, that's what's going on here.
Hope you're all going to have a great day today.

How old is E's outdated ipad? I am thinking I may need to get a new one soon...My friend has the large light weight one but that is too big for what I want, too. She uses hers a lot for Netflix.

Good Wednesday morning and the last day of November. Which means I have two daycare things to do today: pay my license and submit my food and enrollment for the month. That second one can't be done until the last child goes home today but as soon as I get off here I will pay the 140.00 for my license. Not complaining, just trying to remember!
Trash day and I think my yard waste got too heavy for the guy to load it, so I put some leaves in a bag and will not put that can out until I can empty it a bit more. Wet leaves and a nephew who loaded it as full as he could got rid of the lawn mess but I am sur eit is too heavy. My mom's yard guys put all the acorns in hers and it was too heavy. The garbage men knocked it over and acorns went all over the street and my 85 year old mother was out picking them up in the busy street! Why not all and tell me so we could help or I would have said, let the street sweeper get it.
Anyway, when she told my brother all this he pretty much said what I just wrote and then told me...
It rained here last night and not sure yet what today is supposed to bring.
Have a great day; Jostoy, hope you can get over that cold. Take care all the rest of you!

Paula, E's troublesome iPad is probably about 4-5 years old. About the same as my older one, which I feel is basically slowing down. Today's iPads have more complex "innards" with more core power than the older ones, and still weigh less!
The one I gave him is the larger, lightweight one....but to my hands it's not so lightweight. Especially when it's wearing it's protective cover. The new one I have has a rose-gold color, which I don't want to cover up. Definitely lighter weight than my older iPad of the same size. Easier for me to handle.

Cookie it would make me feel so good if you said those oatmeal cookies turned out like little rocks!!! It would some form of mild vindication. But don;t go crazy over them.. Yesterday's sun didn't last long but it was a mild day all day. Sunny again to start today but suppose to be much colder. Forgot Jon starts a 7 day vacation tomorrow and since I did not wrap anything yesterday maybe he will help with some of the wrapping. I grocery shopped yesterday and made a pot of chili, did laundry. No homework this week because of testing. I hate standardized testing and feel if we did a better job in the classroom we would not have to grade a school system on test scores. I am in no way putting down teachers who do a great job but with the states cutting funding to educated our kids and these stupid fad curriculums. Anyway I do not think a kid should be judged by a score on a standardized test but on the other hand there is no homework this week! Going to but in a meatloaf for supper tonight and hopefully will have a cold meatloaf sandwich tomorrow for lunch. I LOVE a cold meatloaf sandwich better than the original hot from the oven. I could find lots to do today but you never know what I will do. Jo glad you will having the reversal done...Beth, don't know much about cats but would think after walking a hot stove top once she should remember. Jostoy sorr about that cold..do not let it get to bad before seeking help. Sharon my husband would have those little meal things and I always had to make a German Chocolate cake. I hated when he told me the night before and I had to rush around. I learned to keep the cake mix always in the house...you didn;t think I made it from scratch did you? Happy Wednesday morning to all...hope those horrible fires are finally out in the south. Why would someone start a fire and destroy all that beautiful area? Why do people do half the things they do?

Maxie....I made some with mini choc chips & raisins and those didn't spread one mm...they were baked blobs. LOL!!!! See...I do screw up sometimes. They weren't BAD tasting, just kind of dry. Took them down to the Vets and they were thrilled.

Good morning, all. Like AZ we're cold and frosty. May warm up later next week. I have things to do outside That I can't be comfortable doing when it's cold.

Want to make some cookies here for the Season. Hung my new wreath yesterday. Pretty on the door. Once I get the place cleaned up a it O will drag pout the tree and set it up. Pre-lighted so I don't have to mess with lights.
Can't decide what to make for Dec. potluck. It will be ham and/or turkey whichever will probably be cooked to death. Maybe my Swedish molded salad. Made with veggie broth instead of jello. Sour cream for the topping.

Better get busy because i have to do laundry tomorrow.

                Good late morning

really dragging this morning yet... think it is my usual December depression setting in... Just can't get in the Mood for the season ,,, got down from the closet the few decorations I like .. they are setting in their boxes...
DAvid being in a grump doesn't help... ..he gets so frustrated not being able to do the simplest jobs.. bending over trying to put the 2 halfs of the C. Tree together.. and it won't go.. his back hurt so bad he had to stop..
...its wet, cold today... so i guess I will just set and read.....atho that is another problem.... I found a book I wanted to download to NOOk from one of my Libraries.. the screen for the Library had been "updated".... I tapped download, hit the usual choice of EPUB . via my Adobe Reader... BUT it would not download to Adobe R... Keeps saying..error,,try again, when I do I get message,,I have already borrowed it. .... also, the new update has removed my choice to return immediately .. weird... wondering if that means the Nook will become useless to me.
May have to switch and buy a Kindle.???? always something ..just add another thing to the depression list...

Hi Beth, Sharon, Jostoy ( take care of that cold,!). Donna, JoG, Paula, Maxie ,,, and all to come... Forgive my downer mood....it will only last a little while and something good will come along ....
( btw. Granddaughter BEthany is in New York City with her friend Libby,, they keep showing up on the Today crowd shots..even got a hug from Mark Ballas, Dwts and broadway Show star.. she will be there to see the tree lit up tonight to.. so bright spot and a trip to remember .)

Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

I have been in a downer mood for a month at least and I am trying so hard to get over it. Wrapped the kids today so, naturally, I am not happy with what they have from Santa. Sierra is a big girl and understands the cost of what is there but Andrew is more into quantity! He is getting a new Ipad but only sees that is one box...he's a kid so I understand that. I had to get on the floor to wrap his huge lego thingy and then could not get up. Couldn't get my good knee into position so I sat on the floor for a while and, thank goodness, Sierra came in with lunch and I managed to get up. We had a good laugh over how long I would have sat but the fact of the matter is I can do most anything if you wave lunch in front of me! Then she carried all the warpped into the bedroom to be put away. My knee and back are telling me tomorrow is another day to finish the wrapping. The sun has disappeared again and it is getting colder. Need to put the scissors and tape back where I can find it when I start wrapping again..clean up the mess from this morning. Maybe this funk I have been in is lifting so there is hope for you Maye.

We must have been without phone service for a week. There was some road work done in the neighborhood. SoE checked our dead landlines and called the phone service. Funny thing is, we never lost the WiFi.
So the guy came out today and geez, he must be spending the whole day there. Whoever was digging at roadside made a mess of the cables, because we still get some static noises. I guess he might be replacing some of the fiber optic cables. But our phones are working again.

We were out to dinner tonight. It was free-pie day there today.
Had to go out to pick up my prescriptions for pre-surgery anyway.

Can't say 'Good Morning' or 'Good Wednesday' since I am checking in right before bedtime, but glad to see so many friendly 'faces' on here! I was going to check the weather but afraid to because I am afraid I'll see a four letter word in the forecast for Southern Illinois (S-N-O-W)...and I detest snow (Bah, Humbug), so I came here instead! I'll wish everyone a Terrific Thursday now since I don't know what time I'll log onto the ole computer tomorrow! If any of you have any s-n-o-w, please keep it to yourself, I don't want it! LOL
