    Good morning...work this morning..nap this afternoon...church tonight..

My parents are going home tonight so that mom can prep Thanksgiving dinner...I will join them in IL on Wednesday after work.

Yesterday was pretty quiet...I liked it like that...I did clean up the kitchen from the breakfast mess and do 3 loads of laundry

    Good morning everyone..
    Rise and shine..

I really had bad day yesterday..I went shopping at this Wal-mart....So i went to Customer Service ..I want loose change to break bill..

The cashier..We do not that any more..And ask her for the newspaper..We do not carry paper anymore...And ask another question..

Then the Cashier.."I do not Know"..The cashier had real "BAD" attitude..

I got home..And went on-line..So reported her to the company..There is "NO reason to act like that..
That was my day..I hope to day will be better..

Good Morning....been busy in the kitchen already this morning...got some pie crust dough chilling in fridge....trying out using my muffin tin for hard 'boiled' cooked eggs...will see how they come out...

Been a busy weekend, usually is when hubby is here and pretty much stuck inside...we went to a Swedish Chistmas Bazaar, sons SO is from Sweden and she misses some of her traditions and foods...it was very interesting, informative, very nice and the food was great...they really know how to use the veggies, nuts, etc. I bought some chocolates of different sorts, some Christmas ornaments and a few other items...really enjoyed it. Also went and did my shopping for Thanksgiving so I could start the prep stuff the next few days, so have plenty to keep me busy...I have to take my kitty Rufus back to the vet today, but I do get to go to the one I want. Our son use to work there and we have always taken our pets there but while we were living in IL he added another vet and I am not that pleased with her...so hopefully today can talk to Doc and get some answers...

jostoy hope you got those leaves done over the weekend...we had rain, sleet and snow here, it warmed up a bit yesterday and melted the snow, but this morning it is only 27 degrees...

Sassy as always, enjoy the graphic...also agree with saying something at the corporate office about your visit to Walmart...I am about to do that with our KMart here in town...stores do not seem to care about you as much as they once did for sure..

Well time to get moving, much to accomplish today. Have a great day one and all.

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

    good morning

have been up since 5 am ..when I have things on my mind. ,I can't fall back to sleep. so got up... have the roast in slow cooker by 6. then set and read .now its time to get the day going .
SassyG..first the picture.... how TRUE.. I love dogs but I do think most cats out think them.. I know my K.D.Kat can!.. and you were perfectly right in reporting the Customer Service gal.. In Customer Service the word is SERVICE .. not attitude. even if she might have been having a bad day herself...when you working on a job...You just turn OFF your problems and do your job Right.. ..Im a little old Lady and I would have probably looked up the store manager right then and there... we little old ladies don't hesitate to call the boss ... without the customer, the Store closes!!!!!!!

Hi Beth. was nice having family wasn't it?.

Got to have Mike and Pam all to ourselves Sat and Sun... cold, snowy. yck weather.. everyone stayed in. watched football, ( I read).
but the week will now get a bit busier.. will make the homemade noodles today. get them dried ..(Thursday dish)

be back later to check on you all..

ps.Hi Sharon.. our houses sound the same.. prep work going on today here too.

Good Morning! We got snow yesterday. They said only a 40% but it snow all day. Not a lot of accumulation because it had been very warm on Friday, but where it got cold quick...the wooden steps...there was about 2" of snow there this morning.

Yesterday was good. Came home from church and took a power nap. Then onto finishing icing the last 5 doz sugar cookies. Did up the laundry and got that put away. Just puttered the day away.

This morning I'm heading into town to deliver the pumpkin rolls to the doctor's office for their weekly treat from Dr N. Then hoping I pick up the final items for our Thanksgiving meal. Coming home and mixing up a bunch of pie dough. I have to make at least 23 pies this week. Slow but sure. Not going to sweat it. Still waiting for my head to clear. Bottomed out again around 5am. See the doctor again next week.

    Have a good one all!

Good morning, all. Rain is almost over for today.

GS and family are coming tomorrow and my apartment is still a mess. Feeling better today so hope to get some more today. Did get a batch of refrigerator cookies ready to bake today. Want to get my new couch cover ironed and onto the couch but as I said it's like wrestling an octopus. Lily has made such a mess of the old one that I can't look at it without cringing.

Sassy, you did the right thing. I had the opposite happen in our Walmart. The man in the tire department was so nice while they were putting my tires on that I let the company know about what a good job he did.

Gotta go. Take care. there's a busy week ahead.

don't wear yourself out ironing. Can you just put it on as is and either put a throw over part of it for a focal point or just let the wrinkles relax as it is on the couch and people sit on it?
Or, put it on the couch and take a hot iron to it on the couch ? forget I said that; I realize that it is probably not the seat area you are worried about...but don't wear yourself out. (I typed don't Swear yourself out at first!)

      good Monday to you all!
I am doing the deep breathing and anti-stress thinking this morning. Full day of daycare and trying to get a few prep things done can be stressful if I don't keep my mind on it. Too easy to get going too fast and that is when it gets overwhelming.
I have two kids today that I haven't had since summer and that is the best thing today. It is rainy and windy out so not sure if we will even be able to go out on the patio. Probably will let the older ones but keep the baby and the littlest 2 year old (who never stays on the patio: heads straight to the puddles!) inside. Highchairs are a good thing! a little food or painting and the 2 year old is very happy!
The big question today is why do I still have things on my grocery list to buy? for the Thanksgiving dinner.
Remember how I was saying I gave away a coat and jacket because I don't need it here? My DIL in WA told me last night to be sure and bring a coat because when I come up there we are going to the Night Lights at the zoo...I am not buying a coat for just this trip, but will go to Good will and see what I can get there. Well, that's buying, but you know what I mean.
My niece posted they are back in the hospital with the baby. Chloe had a high fever and is now on antibiotics and being watched over there. Both the parents stayed at the Ronald McDonald House for the weekend to be right there, too. I assume Matt will go to work today if she is doing better. Her lymph system is th eproblem so she doesn't have the immune protection that a baby her age normally would.
Hope you all have a good day and enjoy your time with family friends and the work we all have to do!

        Good morning everyone.

Yes, Sharon, I got all the leaves picked up in the 4 yards. However, there are 3 neighbors that don't give a DARN, about anyone else and lets their leaves blow. Well I got news for them, my lawn mower won't be pulling into their yards. The ones that I did...2 are ill and the other neighbor is the one that keeps my driveway clear of snow. He works on lawn mowers, but doesn't own one himself. He mowes his yard with one that he has worked on and needs to check out.

Have cleaned the house already. Still need to pack, and go to the bank. The rest of the day will be doing nothing that requires physical labor.

Got to see A. take her first Communion yesterday in 6 years. She is the mother of Violet that "died" and came back, but was left with some disabilities. She has fought hard to "get back". Her biggest disability is muscle control. She has been eating some small amounts of apple sauce and puddings. But yesterday was the first time to put even bread in her mouth. Her sister gave her the bread and juice. It just goes to show that the Lord does answer prayer, but does things in His time, not ours.

Well enough preaching, for those who didn't go to Church yesterday. I will just say HAPPY THANKSGIVING early as I will head for F.W. early tomorrow. And for those of you who have snow....keep it where you are until I get back home on the 29th. Hope all have a good day.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

          Good morning.
It's a dark, cloudy morning, but we should be getting rain. It'll be only 65° today. That's cold to me.

Yesterday afternoon we went to see a movie. I think of all the movies there, "Fantastic Beasts........." was the only one worth seeing. If you enjoyed the Harry Potter movies, you're bound to love this one. The beasts were amazingly beautiful. Even more amazing was the main character's suitcase! The special effects were outstanding. Then we picked up a pizza and came home.

We do need to do some grocery shopping. I wonder if we can put it off just a day. I want fresh veggies for Thanksgiving. I have a small ham in the deep freezer, but I'd like to get some turkey breast & legs as well. I don't do the whole turkey any more.....there's just the 2 of us. I do not love ham, though any pig meat appeals greatly to E. So I will have just a token piece of it and enjoy more of the veggies.

Well, whatever today brings, I see some clutter starting. I need to put stuff away. E sees the need for him to quit trying to do everything for me, so I can move around more freely. That's the only way I can rebuild my strength. He was a bit surprised I was more self-sufficient while he was gone. Just the last day I didn't do much, because I wasn't trusting my colostomy pouch, which he noted was ready for changing when he got home. I know it can last a full 5 days, but not longer.....but it needs fthe same attention you'd give a baby. And I have a folding hat to cover the bag area when we're in the car, so the seat belt doesn't interfere. I think that's what cause a new bag some leakage when we visited a daughter one time, with a major mess at her curbside. Next week I talk to the surgeon about the reversal!!! Pardon my one-track mind on this.

Sassy, I love the graphic! Yes, my young cats ruled over the dogs. Had a small mixed breed dog once that they would not allow in the kitchen to eat with them, until he learned to meow. And he did! And a friend wanted him so I gave him to her. Then got a Labrador that was more independent and outdoorsy, but they got along anyway.

The house is chilly this morning. I need to get something cooking or baking. That batch of cupcakes kept the house at 78° for two days. I have had the a/c off since E's absence, and he hasn't noticed I've changed the setting yet. It's been comfortable.

Tis' almost The Season, which begins with Turkey Day. I wish The Parade was done the way it was years/decades ago. I don't relate to today's music and all the ads it now has.

          Have a great day, everyone.
