Good morning...Yesterday was pretty good...I am thinking I need cup of coffee. Cori has been in my face and playing on my bed for the last hour...but I didn't want to close her out because I was afriad she would go up and wake my mom and dad...she is so vocal...had us up around 430 yesterday morning...so this morning I did all I could to keep her down stairs with me...I am going up stairs to start the coffee.

work was the worst part and it wasn't horrible....Two out of 3 supervisors were extremely grouchy...so I just stayed away from them as much as I possibly could. Did my work and got out of there..volunteered for a couple of hours...went to my sisters and helped pack a little bit...ended the day with all 7 of us going to Ikea...we love IKEA my brother inlaw had never been before.

Today is another crazy day. Breakfast at my sisters around 7. My uncle is coming to look at the electric stuff at the new house...some one is coming to the old house..While this is all happening I have to take catch cori and put her in the kennel and take her to the vet. My parents will drop Cori and I off. We will have her appointment and wait to be picked back up. My sister and her family have an activity at their church today...What that means for me and my parents I am not sure. I know of a couple of errands I need to run and I would love it if mom had time to go look at winter coats with me at my work...I don't really see that happening and I am good with that...

Tomorrow is my brother in laws birthday...we will pick up his gift today...I am making brownies and picking up ice and cream chocolate sauce for brownie Sundays. They will come here tomorrow evening. We all will go to church together in the morning...then they have a luncheon.

Good Morning! My one & only day to sleep in & I wake up early....go figure.

Yesterday was good but didn't get done what I planned. Wanted to get the sugar cookies iced, but kept getting interrupted with other little projects. In the back of my mind I knew this one customer was wanting a pie this weekend sometime, so I finally got a hold of her. Here is was yesterday, but she said today would be OK but I could tell she was disappointed. NO...my fault...got busy and got both pies made & her daughter was able to pick them up on her way by. Whew!!! I did get the wedding sugar cookies iced during the evening once everyone went to bed.

I try so hard to be frugal & watch how we spend, but it's been so long (June) since we've gone out for Chinese, so we are going to do that for lunch today and pick up some needed items. I hope to bake a couple more cookies for the wedding. I'm down to the bar cookies I think. And hopefully finish icing the rest of the sugar cookies. We'll see.

Cookie you really should go some time...Leave blaze with corkie and get beka and go...You should plan to eat in their resteraunt...some of the best chicken strips I have ever had..my family also loves the swedish meat balls..My mother like the veggie balls.

Change in my plans...I am not going to breakfast after all..I am staying home to get cori in the carrier and that kind of thing. It will be easier if I can get her when we are home alone and not rushed. My sister is going to save me some breakfast..She is making Keish from scratch.

Good morning everyone.

Went to the country to mow and then from there on to Vincennes. I had to go to Lowes as I had stopped there last Wednesday to get someone out to measure for my new counter tops and back splash. However, no one had contacted me even though I had been told that a contractor would call me within 72 hours. My favorite guys no longer work for Lowes. Now I have to take a chance on someone new.

Today I will be painting the foundation of the house. I usually have to paint it every 5-6 years. Usually takes about 3 hours to do the job as long as I have a 4" brush. Since it is to be a near record breaking temps, think that it is time to get that job done. While washing the house, I scrubbed the brick foundation getting it ready for the job today.

Good morning, all. Everyone here is enjoying our first really good rain of the season. More expected for tomorrow and no more in sight after that. Hope we get more Soon.

Went for the ultra sound on my leg. Tech said he saw no clots so I still don't know why my leg and foot are swelling and why I keep getting cramps in my feet, legs, and hands. Didn't get any last night, though.
Also got my blood-work done while we were out and saved us a trip next week.

Took sis, Ada, to lunch at the Chines/Sushi restaurant. We both ordered the Teriyaki combo. She hot chicken and I got beef. I usually get the
salmon but I ordered beef for the first time. Mistake! It was delicious flank steak and I couldn't chew it with my sore tooth.

Still haven't made my lamb shanks but I'm up early enough to get them going this AM. Love me some lamb.

Cookie, sometimes you just gotta do something for yourselves even if it does pinch.

Still eary so I think I"ll make me another cup of coffee. Love that Keurig. Have a great day.

right behind you SassyG.... that picture is sooooooooo right ...adorable kitten... makes me want to get a Baby Kitty... sigh... my K.D. Kat does not cuddle.
loves me, plays games with me. ( hide and seek) peek a boo).. but does not want held ..boo hoo.. she does occasionally sleep on the Bed when David is in it alone... but leaves when I come near...

my yesterday turned out different from planned ... I did make a huge pot of vegetable soup in the forenoon... had forgotten how much time that takes to put it all together!... Got a call from Karen... could Bethany come Cook in the afternoon.. instead of Saturday ,as we had planned... (Bethany had got invited to do something sort of trip.) and almost always say yes. to pretty granddaughters.. ... but the yeast had to be postponed until another time... she came,with new recipe for a "pumpkin pie cake".. they had ate somewhere , delicious I guess... so I tutored her through the mixing and showing her the little things that are not in a book... finally got that in the oven ,which had to bake an hour... .... next, she wanted to make peanut butter fudge. like her sister and I had done last week..... again.. she did all the mixing ... and stirring.. ..we cleaned up our mess .. her Mom showed up to whisk her and the goodies back home... I ate some more of the soup, and relaxed the evening away... David was at sawmill most of the day..... but over did it a wee bit... MEN,,,just don't know the meaning of following orders...

today will finish yesterdays to-do list.. sweeper, dust. mop kitchen ,,,you know,, those fun things....at least I don't have to cook.. still have soup plus,, Karen had made chilly and we swapped. so have both in fridge.

Barb. wear socks to bed, and I also have one of those little lap type blankets, fuzzy thing,, that I put in and around my legs and feet... I get the leg cramps too and if I can keep the legs and feet really warm ,( I guess that makes the circulation better in them). I don't cramp.. a heating pad is also good at the foot of the bed under the covers.. ,,if it gets too hot. wrap it in a pillow case.

Jostoy ... consider yourself nagged.... do you carry a cell phone on your person outside .. if not,, why not?... ( however, if you would like to come live next door to me...I could give you things to keep you busy.

Good morning.
I did add to yesterday's post that I found the smelly "corpse" in the back of my fridge. I hadn't realized that E put a beef roast from the deep freezer into the back of the fridge, I don't know how long ago. Oh well. I didn't make a fuss, just threw it out and wiped up what little mess there was. I put foods in plastic freezer bags before freezing them.
I want to go to Costco today. We do need to pick up a few things. Is anyone a Harry Potter fan? Book #18 is now available. COSTCO put out a magazine type catalog with the new fall offerings as well as a bunch of recipes.
We still also need to stop at the storage place for our Halloween characters & skeleton.
Other than that, no plans today. I did leave a couple of questions in the Kitchen forum. Had to nuke the water for my tea this morning. The coffee pot still spews coffee grounds. 😒

Beth - sounds like a busy day ahead for you.
Cookie - you busy, busy lady. You do need to take "Me Time" for yourself.
Jostoy - you never seem to stop either. Wish I still had that kind of energy.
Barb - Lucky you! Rain! Hey, E was reading that for swelling feet you need to take some magnesium. I take a daily vitamin/mineral pill, plus a calcium-magnesium-zinc pill daily. I'm going to look up what foods contain magnesium as well. My foot swelling is mostly under control now.
Hi Sassy - I love that kitty. My cats never took to beds. Only one would jump onto my bed, but only to waken me at 5 a.m. every single morning of the week. She'd try to beat the alarm clock that I had set for weekdays, but she included weekends as well. 🙄

Oh, happy Saturday morning to you all!
Rain as Barb said, and I am fine with it.
However, the leaves all over are starting to be an embarrassment. Wet and everyone has them, so as soon as it stops raining and I can rake, I will. One of the teens at church was asking for odd jobs to buy feed, so I am going to ask her to come over and rake the front.
cookie baking for the church Halloween party this evening and a trip to the post office and a funeral. But nothing too hard, just need to get going.
I enjoy reading all of the posts and seeing what you all are up to.
Donna, I think I will see if my mom wants Chinese; we haven't been for a long time and I know she really likes it. Thanks for the idea.

Good afternoon. Been a busy morning...bought a beef brisket had it in dry rub for 24 hrs. had to get up early and get the smoker out and ready to go...first time doing a beef brisket so hope it comes out tender...will have smoked scalloped potatoes and baked beans to go with it..So far we have loved all that we have made in it...

I think I have pleurisy in my right lung area, a constant pain, hurts to breath, cough, etc. been trying to work through and past it all week but last night it kept me awake so I guess on Monday I will call the Dr...as much as I don't want to...

Hubby is outside working and enjoying the nice day we are having, 71 degrees out....I also just put a fruit cocktail cake in the oven....have not made one in years could not find my recipe I always used, not even on the internet.

Well going to get going and do some dusting...have a good day one and all.
