    Good Morning.

get this post open so we can chat!....

I saw your merger remark yesterday Elaine... .

crossing my fingers and praying a lot. the pain in the side is letting up a bit. not gone but hoping it is really fading .
and I spread the word to my grownup children what we needed the most was just communication. bless their hearts ,I heard from each of them ,on phone, yesterday.. it is soo good just to talk to them ..Donna calls and talks.. amazing what a warm conversation does for you .. if I get my energy level back up.. I'll be good for another ten years..

no idea what or where David will have me running to today.. I cant run around and clean so it will the sweeper or the car..

see you all later , have a great day

Morning woke up sick.. My allergies are really bad right now...I don't think its cori thats what everyone else is saying it is...if its her I will deal with it....Yesterday was not as nice as I thought it would be work was stressful and long not sure why but it seems as if this week is crawling by! ...lunch was nice...but ended my day in trouble for my aditude...everyone telling me how ungrateful I am for everything I have....all because I got upset because they are all going vacation next week and I have to stay home. IT upset me because I was told I would be able to go....and when I asked for the dates so that I could mention them in my interview before I started the new job mom never told me what the dates where so now I have to stay home and work...oh well today is a new day.

work and volunteering...then home to put away a mountain of laundry.

    Good Morning.

Hi Janet! Hi beth! Where's the donuts?

Been listening to calves and mommas bawling for 2 days now. I have been told we have a week of this to look forward to. Drives me nuts when they ween calves!

My new eye glasses are ready for pickup, but that trip will fill up half a day. Not sure if I want t spend that much time in the car today.

Better get in the kitchen and get the mop going. Have a good day, Everyone

Good Morning, sun is shining but it is a tad to chilly to sit on the deck with my coffee, the older I get the colder I get, LOL

Elaine, you could come here and listen to a cat meowing all day, he is part Siamese and very vocal at times, drives us nuts, has to always be about Rufus!!

Beth starting a new job and asking for time off to begin with is not a good way to start, your sibling and parents know this that is why they did not tell you the dates...sometimes it isn't about someone else but doing the right thing...in their own way they are looking out for you and your lively hood...you do have it good, you seem to get pretty much what you want, and an attitude adjustment and being thankful for what you do have would be nice...it seems most times your family goes out of their way to make you happy and content...be the bigger person, be understanding, see the bigger picture...everyone needs a break sometimes. This is what being an adult is all about, and like we have always told our son, in this world you will always have someone telling you what to do, especially in a job situation but always remember to be quiet, listen and don't argue, do as you are told... well that is my nag for the day, LOL

I have no plans for the day, a little swifter dusting, cleaning the litter boxes, and deciding on and fixing supper. I want to get back to reading again, my sister who is an avid reader gave me the book "Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes and "With Every Breath" by Elizabeth Camden so those should get me back on the right path...when she gave them to me hubby said, "she use to read all the time, now she never does". So many things I 'use' to do that I don't anymore, LOL...So I will start reading today...hope I can keep my mind clear and let the book take me away.

Have a good day one and all, Maye not to much running around, not to push things, glad the pain has eased up some.

JoG, sorry to hear the news about your Grandsons wife.

Let's hope everyone has a smile or two on their face today...
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Do any of you have a store called Ollie's by you? She gets a lot of her books there, kind of a glorified Big Lots...When I go to my sons in MI I like to go to that store.

Never heard of Ollies so must be a regional thing. I get my books from Amazon since even the books stores have closed around here and Walmart carries books by wackos or religious stories. Think I will make a meatloaf for tonight. Last night I boiled new potatoes and both the grands ate like pigs and even fought over the last one. Who would have thought a little red potato could have caused a riot? Andrew is selling Yankee candles...I do not burn candles because I have a tendency to leave them burning and leave. I have still not but the cleans sheets on beds and have a load of laundry in the dryer from yesterday. With the cooler weather I have opened the front drapes and boy does this place need a good vacuuming. Watched the Cubs beat the Cards yesterday afternoon and so glad they did not win the division in St.Louis. It would have been hard to see a team you don't like win in your teams town....but I was spared that with another Cardinal loss. Games will be late for a while now and those late games start when I go to bed! We have tickets for the end of the month...our goodby regular playing season game then hockey starts. Have to save up for hockey tickets...they are pretty expensive and we like then down on the ice! Can't think of anything more..today is lunch with the school chums but it should be obvious to all I am not in the mood for that. I don;t like it when I am in a super duper great mood! So sorry about your grandsons' wife but I wonder about the medical profession sometime. Homework last night got loud only once and then he buckled down to spell...he startef his math on his own and let Sierra check it. Tonight is another session but yesterday was a good one. Maybe he has finally learned to just sit down, shut up and do it. But that would be easy and our Andrew does nothing that is easy! Need another cup of coffee and think of all the things I could do and all the things I will use as a excuse not to do lunch, but in the long run, these are the things I have no intention of doing again today. I need a shot of geritol!!

        Good morning, friends.
Mostly nothing going on here. I have a haircut appointment today, late morning.....20% off! (Also made one for next month, just before the wedding cruise.) That's it.

Sharon, the last year I've been feeling chilled pretty often, too. I'm the little old lady who, in 90° weather, carries or wears a sweater! 🙄
Maye, I'm glad you're feeling a let-up of that pain. I hope the rest goes away quickly! 😊
Beth, I must say, I totally agree with Boffler on her advice to you. Good luck on your new job.
Maxi, I sometimes wonder about the medical profession as well. I wish their certificates on display showed where percentage-wise they stood in their class. The more certificates on the wall, the more money they make? I hope they like their work as much as the money.
I really hope grandson's wife comes through all this okay.

Hi Elaine, and anyone posting while or after I'm typing. 😊. Here's the donuts: 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩
Guess I'll get my breakfast and my cuppa now.☕️

Create a beautiful day wherever you go.

          Good morning!
I made warm cocoa for the kids and homemade granola bars...happy bunch now dong puzzles at the table. Baby is sucking his thumb on my lap, so hopefully I can post.
My son in WA will be seeing Spencer in Md in Nov. Stuart has an administrators meeting and will stay at Spencer's. I will get to enjoy it through them. One thing Gary and I were so happy about that our kids have all been friends as well as siblings.
So happy to hear a better report from you, Maye, about the pain.
I had a meeting last night about the new State required vaccinations for daycare providers. Good information. Found out too late that I could have got mine for Free from the county...there were a number there who had to pay because our insurance wouldn't. It was interesting to me how positive all the discussion was in this meeting ( not mandatory) compared to the mandatory food program meetings. That one comes up for me next Thursday.
I have a funeral this Saturday. I can't go, but not many people signed up for main dish food, so I am taking spaghetti. There is a Meet the Candidates in the Park that Becky has wanted to attend, but doesn't want to go alone. This is my third funeral in a month. A lot of heavy hearts...
I hope you all have a lot to smile about today!
Beth, make a list of all the positives, starting with your adorable cat! Keeping you in my heart today!

Just read what I wrote earlier and my mind was not on what I was writing. I exchanged a pair of jeans for Drew and how do you return something for a credit and still end up spending 90.00 when you didn;t need anything? I do not know how that happens! Picked up a cheeseburger for lunch, ordered a coke and came in with a Dr. Pepper and the tv is out. I know, I am having a bad day, right? Decided not to make a meatloaf but will fix breakfast for supper. Absolutely will run the vac and drag that load of laundry from the dryer...cannot promise that bed will get its sheets. Have groceries to but away. Why is it nothing goes on the store list unless I put it there? Yesterday I knew we were low on butter but I had another container...seems someone was using whatever container he grabbed and both were empty. And did I tell you about the 'not a feud' the son is having with the young guy next door? I don't think they are even aware of it but there is a little something something there. They have a privacy fence along the back of their yard and we have a chain link fence. There is a smidgen more than mower width between the two fences so when the neighbor cuts he comes back along the same line and leaves a 6 inch spot for us to cut when he could just go up and down and done. Then there is the telephone pole that sits on the property line. We cut it all but he cuts only his half. Crazy. Then Jon sprayed the grass growing along the curb in the street but just in front of our house when he could have gone to driveway to driveway and cleared half the block. But no...he leaves a three foot spot for the neighbor. Last evening I told him the yard looked out of wack with half the telephone pole trimmed so he took the grass killer out.
It is so ridiculously a guy thing. They wave and speak and this is just so funny. Well, that cheeseburger is settling in nicely and I feel better but not well enough to put sheets on beds. Going to drag out the vac right now!!
