  • Good Monday Morning, feels like fall of the year out there

Good Morning, we made it back home safe and sound around 5:30 p.m. got unloaded and things put away, and motorhome put away until this coming weekend, going back to the place we went last summer when Jostoy came to visit...wishing she would be here again.

Had a wonderful weekend, more food and people than one can imagine, was a bit hot, but not as bad as last year, so much laughter and fun, and manage to have it complete before the rains came, kept and ear open for the weather report, when it got close we broke down the canopy and started putting chairs and tables away, nice big barn and porch to stay together...

Paula so glad you enjoyed your class and was able to just get away from all the other thought, LOL
Maye, what kind of report did you get on Friday, and how are you doing today?
Beth I have one cat that totally hides somewhere when a storm is coming, he knows it before we do, had a dog the same way.
Jostoy, you back yet? And how did it go at your sis in laws? Lots of 'stuff' gone through?
Pat is tourist season all done now?
Maxie home is where the heart is, and my heart is with my family but if I am in Ohio, but loving the place you are now and the people with you is what counts...I moved enough to know my heart was always here in Ohio...I was okay in IL but not full hearted happy, hubby said he could always see a longing in my eyes and that I was not the same person when we would move.

I will do the sheets from the motorhome, the towels, and our clothing, my sister gave me a few books and I want to get back to reading again, like hubby said, "I use to read all the time when we first got together", he hasn't seen me with a book in a long time, I want to change that, I need the relaxation...So that is my day plan, also put together a menu for this week...

Have a wonderful day one and all..
Hello to all that have or will pass this way.
Barb, Nalani, where is Val? JoS? and so many others...

Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

        Good Morning

Sharon, what a great weekend you had!! my report from dr on friday.:.. this nerve pain may stick around a couple weeks. or months. spots are all dried up. I ask her about sometime to help me with stress etc, but she ask if I could wait until I am off the neuronton.. ....we shall see,,.that will depend on how much more can get piled on... yesterday on the way home from lunch (out).the older of our two cars that I was driving began to have jerky moves when I had to brake, slow down and finally it shut down , no power steering !!!. I got off the road safely ..well, we did get home. this morning took the car to the garage where we get all work done ..it was kind of ironic as I had declared " I can't take much more " to Dr.S. ..and I kept saying .... its just an old car , its just an old car...

        Bethina,, busy busy Lady

David has his Dr. visit today at 11 am .. thank heavens the Dr comes out two days a week to the senior complex about 3 miles from here..

this evening we have appointment for a man to come give us price and time to put on new roof on the garage. D. wants a metal roof. and I want it to be Green .another Man was supposed to have come in July and done this but never show up.. He is a friend of dau Karens husbands.. does wonderful work but is just so busy.. and our roof has started to leak again.. so hope this guy has time to do it soon.

hope all is well with you all.. and may I soon get some energy back ...this dragging myself around is not ME.. ( donna needs me

Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

          Good morning everyone.

Yes I got home yesterday about 12:30. Was a busy 3 1/2 days for me. The septic guy "horsed around" in town knowing that rain was expected. Finally at 1p, I left a message on his phone saying that the dentist must have pulled everyone of his teeth. He called me back in about 10 minutes saying he was pulling into his drive then to hook up to the trailer. He got there about 1:30 and didn't get to finish the job due to rain and I mean a pour down. Anyway, being sick of his "crap" I talked to one of the board of director members about using the club tractor to finish moving the dirt. He said he would do the job. So I'll give the club a donation for the use of the tractor and give Chris some for his time.

The reunion went well. I was on a terror about everyone leaving as soon as dinner was over. So I made them play musical chairs while eating. At least that broke up families sitting together, and we got to visit with nearly everyone. They also stayed until almost 2p. That's better than running away at 12:30 or 1:00. I forget what someone asked me now, but they knew I was a bit put out with them leaving so early, anyway my answer to them was that I was having my cousin from Branson saying Grace. I knew I wouldn't be of a "peaceful or calm" mind, so I had asked him earlier if he would say the prayer for lunch.

Boff, I leave for Aunt Mary's this Friday and then Saturday I head on over to Fort Wayne to help my sister-in-law with the garage. She also wants to go to some cemeteries to look at some headstones to get an idea of what she wants to get. I think she finally got the 73 BMW sold. A guy from Ohio wants it. but offered $1100. less than what she wanted. So she called me just as I was getting ready to lockup the building Saturday to see what I thought. I told her since no one in the family wanted it, and since she hadn't had any others interested in it, to let it go so she wouldn't have that on her mind anymore.

When I leave Friday, I have no idea when I will get home. My sister-in-law still has the internet service so I will take my lap top. I won't promise that I will have time to check in every morning. Besides the garage taking up my time, I promised L. that I would teach her how to use a computer. That way she could look up things for herself, and get into the stock folder that my brother has on the lap top.

Anyway, I have 2 yards to mow before I leave Friday. Hopefully that will get done Wed. and Thursday. With nothing else to report, I will just say ...have a great day.

A quick good morning to you all.
I have an appointment with a surgeon this morning....hoping t get this colostomy reversed. I think that's what this appointment is about anyway. It's not the same surgeon who did the surgery (that one got married and moved away).
When I saw my oncologist on Fridag, he did say the surgery would be safe for me, despite the changes in my blood condition. Without the chemo and blood condition or medications, my red cells have come up a point, from 7 to 8 for what it's worth.
Have no idea what today has in store for me, but I hope it won't be as crazy as Friday's appointment was.

Sounds like you had a wonderful, happy time Sharon.
Elaine, I don't think autumn weather actually hits the SW til after October.
Maye, I empathize how you feel about lack of energy. BTDT. Also, I hope that nerve pain departs from you soon.

Now I need to finish breakfast, shower, and get going.
            Have a beautiful day!!!

What busy people you all are. Not me...have nothing to do today at all. If there are pork chops in the freezer I will make scalloped potatoes for supper or they can scramble an egg. There is certainly a feel of fall in the air. Temps fell into the 50s last night and even with the sun shining there is a fall sound. Have no idea what grands will show today...even on the days Andrew is not to come he appears so we always have to make plans for someone to be here at bus time. Guess I'll shower and start the day.

Monday is usually an early arrival day, but so far, no one is here. Two texts saying two different kids are sick and won't be here...the baby's mom got banged up on her horse again (!) so she is late. She said she is dropping him off and going back home to rest. This is her second big fall in a month.
Sharon, your weekend sounds great! And Jostoy, I love the musical chairs idea.
It is not 63* right now at 7:25 and will go to mid 80's! Nice! We are in a huge Red Flag warning, though, because we have winds of 10-20 mph sustained and gusts of 30mph for the next two days. So dry and that is a big fire hazard, so hopefully, people will be careful. Our last really big fire was arson...
I have to set my sprinkler and get some altering done. The winds have really dried out the yard.
Have a good day and keeping all in my prayers for your health and well-being!

As she dropped off the baby my banged up, very sore daycare mom said the horse threw her in the same spot it did last time.
The horse is already listed for sale on Craigslist. She bought her just a while back after her horse died...too bad there wasn't any "horse facts" like they have on cars...

Yes, Sharon, tourist season is pretty much over (thank GOD!) We got our beaches back!

Not much new to report here - had 3 days off for my birthday and did absolutely NOTHING. Mostly laid on the couch and watched Netflix and napped.

Today it's back to the grind.

                    Y'all have a good 'un!

Afternoon all! Fall is definitely in the air here.

Yesterday was suppose to be catch up day around here, but that didn't happen. Somehow I ended up in the kitchen all afternoon. In the morning after church & dropping off pies, we went to the estate sale, then I came home and headed to Aldi's. Went and played cards at my Mom's last night.

Got a texted from Becca that she was having chest pains. She didn't have time to go to the ER. So apparently this morning one of her co-wrks is taking her to the ER this afternoon. Told her to call me. She's to work this afternoon later on. Never a dull moment.

This morning I went for lab work. Came home worked with Sue doing crusts & such. This was her last day with me I think until cookie season. Pie sales are dropping off drastically at the stand. I'll manage by myself for the next couple of weeks. October will be catch up month for me before the cookie baking season starts. Looking forward to that.
