Good morning....working today instead of Wednesday....we have one of our biggest sale days of the year tomarrow...Working a couple of extra hours as well.

My dad is still here...will be until tomarrow after I get off work..

Yesterday was a pretty quiet day other than dealing with Cori's drama....after she got all her craziness out she turned into a giant love bug...she is begging right now for me to get back on the bed with her...can't do that I might go back to sleep and that wouldn't be a good thing at all...

I cooked dad spagetti last night...and will fix him chili dogs for supper tonight...will probably have Mcdonalds for lunch..I think that I actually get a lunch break at work today I don't know.

    Everyone have a great day

    Good morning everyone.

Sunday School and Church today. Don't know what else might pop up, but I'll be ready for it/them.

Did get the dead flowers pulled up from the pots, and dumped the dirt on the garden. Will till up the garden sometime this coming week. Will be leaving for the Lake Thursday and won't be back before Sunday. Then on the 16 I go back to Pontiac for 2 days then head on over to Fort Wayne to help my sister-in-law with the cleaning out of the garage. Have no idea how long I'll be there doing that. My brother had so much "stuff" stacked in there, and she found 3 of the same equipment of certain things. Anyway, we have to try and get rid of things and straighten the garage up. It's pretty bad when you have a 3 car garage and can't get even 1 car in it. The "small" garage is where his workshop was suppose to be with the lawn mower, but you can barely get into the door. When I was up there in May I did move some things around so the kids could get to the lawn mower so they could mow the yard for her.

Time to get off here and get some breakfast. Everyone have a great day.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

Yes, Maye, that is the reason I said all that in my post. After the end of Sept., I should be "freed" up for a while except for maybe the 2-3 day trips to the Lake.

Maye all I can say is that shingles must be awful because I know you don't usually say to much about pain, I pray things get better for you real soon...enjoy your book, let things go until you are feeling better, do not stress because stress makes things worse...(ha ha, now I got to nag you)

Nothing much to say about here except it is cooled down to the low 80s which makes it much nicer to be outside during the day.

Made short ribs and noodles and they were so good I had them two days in a row. Now I have to decide on something for dinner. Have a couple of things I bought from Schwan's but may just make quick spaghetti with clam sauce and a salad.

WARNING! If there is Schwan's delivery in your area do not buy their ice cream cones. They are the work of Satan and become addicting with the first bite.
It does help me deal better with meals to have food ready in the freezer. Sometimes my dinner consists of a big bowl of popcorn. Not a very healthy way to eat.

Maye I hope you stop hurting soon.

That's all folks. Have a good one.

I don't believe they have a Schwan's here. Have never seen a truck. Used to buy from them all the time. Love those cones.

I have not bought anything from Schwan's in years, but now I may just have to...

Barb, so add to your warning the pecan sticky buns and the premium ice cream bars covered in chocolate!
It is a beautiful 63* morning! I am outside on the patio with a chihuahua on my lap...of course, sitting out back I see a lot of things that need to be done. Think I will turn my chair around so I can't see the work calling me...
We have a pair of doves that live in the neighborhood and they are cooing right now.
All those trees and greenery, Maye, are exactly what my son is still talking about. The owners of the house they are leasing had a lawn service come in and shape it up, but Spencer has decided he and his bits will do the yard work! They just bought a big grill that was on a close out sale, so will be off tomorrow to look for a mower. I think I convinced him to look at the Ryobi cordless electric one I bought. Mine came with a leaf blower, too. When those trees start dropping their leaves he might just reconsider that lawn service! They started staying at the house on the 1st, even though they have a minimum of furniture. Their household goods will arrive later this month. The boys are loving school! The first day, Hal, the second grader was at the end of the one to go to lunch when two little boys asked him to sit with them. He is so shy, and even if those boys did it at their teachers suggestion, I just say a big Thanks, because he felt included. With everything you hear and read about how kids can be to each other I was pretty nervous about how these little grandsons would be accepted.
Church and then I am coming home to do some rearranging in my room. I have a bedside table that isn't really functioning well, and I am donating it. I want to bring a bookshelf from the office into my room...
Hope your day is restful, Elaine. And less painful, Maye. Settling in for Darla and Sassy. Comfy and yummy for Beth and all the rest of us. And Barb, maybe I got that warning wrong: you should check out those sticky folks and ice cream bars for yourself
Jostoy, you may be in for a great treasure find in that garage!
A lovely day to you all!

It's still GOOD MORNING here. It just seems later.
Visit with stepdaughter and her spouse was great, if short. She delivered her mermaid afghans to her customers before we saw her yesterday. She could have mailed the afghans, but used the 'delivery' as an excuse to be able to see us. She brought a couple of heart charms for the Pandora bracelet that she bought for me a couple years ago. What a sweetie.
We had Lunch/Dinner after they arrived - the new brewhouse restaurant had good food, but not the Growler feature that established brewhouse said have, and apparently the beer wasn't so great, as none of the, finished theirs. I had lemonade tea which wasn't that great either. But the company and conversation was great. We spent the evening visiting at the hotel. This morning we met for breakfast at another restaurant..close to the hotel and the interstate for them. Had a final goodbye. He is still Army, and had to be back home early to meet with a military family he is sponsoring.

Had E water the trees for me when we got back. We'll probably just relax today. Haven't slept well in a couple of nights.
My legs, especially where the cellulitis has left its mark, have been itching like crazy, day or night.

The weather is sunny, going to hotter, thankfully not over 100°.

        Have a good holiday weekend.

Good Afternoon! It's a gorgeous one out there....not too hot.

Yesterday I don't think I even got here. My feet hit the floor running and didn't stop until 8pm I think. Baked all day....naturally. Made 22 pies. Not all were for the stand. Stopped at a garage sale on my way home from dropping off the pies & got a few things. The bigger thing is she ask me if I would do a fundraiser for them....pumpkin rolls. I'm excited. Hope it actually happens.

This morning after church I delivered the pies. Lew said he forgot the peach pies weren't going to be available until Monday and promised Sam one for today. Well he gave me some dinged peaches & they were ready to be made into pie filling, so Sam got his pie. He had to come pick it up here because it was still hot...he was one happy camper! Another customer was picking up a lemon meringue pie and she bought a hot peach pie too. I thought I was taking down 12 pies for tomorrow, but he's down to 9 now...oh well. Sue...the gal that helps me...came and got 3 pies around noon. Last week she hit her forehead on the car door and had a big goose bump. Well she ended up with a concussion and when she came today, she had one big shiner. That didn't come until 3 or 4 days later. She was here last Mon & Tue and it hadn't appeared yet...weird. Anyways, I've now cleaned up the kitchen for the 3rd time today and am finally sitting down. We are going to my brother Tom's for a cook out in a bit. I'm taking corn on the cob, fresh green beans, and lemon meringue pie.

Blaise isn't going to be with us because Kathy picked him up after Sunday school and they were going to the zoo for the day and then have cake & ice cream with friends for their lil one's birthday. It's going to be weird today. It's going to be all adults. Our kids are all growing up....2 are at college, 1 is now living in OH, Kathy's at the zoo w/Blaise, and I'm not super sure if my youngest niece will be there or not...she's 17 and always busy.

Barb...you are too funny! I thought you were going to complain about something you purchased, and here you were just joking. I've tried a few of their things, and they were very good, but too expensive for me right now.

          Have a good one all!
