    Greetings and Salutations!

Paula, I LOVE your photo. You look gorgeous in red!

Another inch of rain yesterday. Yay!

Garage people came and went and 45 minutes later the door was back in order.

Trip to the market today for me and then home to scour up some stuff for the trash. Would LOVE to empty all of the bedroom drawers of "stuff." never used.

    Have a great day! ♥ ♥

Good morning..had my first bad day at work yesterday....I had a huge run in with my job leading to me almost losing my job! I don't much care for her but am trying to learn from her in the best way I can...She is never there when I start work...and when I filled out my evaluation on her and marked her down for that she said I couldn't say that because she was on time every day...I did raise my voice one time with her yesterday BIG mistake she went and turned me into my supervisor for yelling at her...Then when it was time for break and our times didn't match the time on my watch was different than her phone...my watch was set with the time clock. according her the time on her phone was much more accurate! So I had to wait to go to break until her phone said it was time..not the time clock...ended up in a meeting with her and two of my supervisors she is thinking this may not be the job for me and I do not agree. I have a meeting via phone with my placement coordinator after work today.

Then I need to sort through some totes mom wants cleaned out...

The sun is shining again this morning...must be two in a row I woke with sun. Got my hair cut yesterday and finally an appointment for the pedi. Sierra called last night and is feeling better and getting her hair cut and highlighted this afternoon then gracing us with a supper appearance. I was planning on salami sandwiches but now have to go find something to cook. Andrew was on the bus yesterday for an hour coming home and was the last one dropped off. Jon has to call the bus shed this morning and get the number of the bus he needs to take here. The school sent his home bus numbers to his mom but he has always come here after school. They are adding a turn lane into this subdivision in another week and the construction may change the bus schedules for us. Last year about 12 kids exited the bus at our stop so they certainly cannot eliminate it for construction. First of school always brings problems. Today I am going to do some work around here...I had taken a few days off but need to get back on schedule. Like the sink is full of dishes because no one (me) has unloaded the dishwasher in two days. If I have been depressed over school starting and summer ending then it is high time I got over it and settled in...isn't that we tell the kids? Do your homework and go to bed early? Going to take my own advice but still hate that school has started so soon! Happy you are enjoying your rain Elaine and happier we are finished for a while. My son in Missouri has been in the training rain and had inches and inches and inches of the stuff this week. Cookie that pie/cake/cookie industry you run makes me so tired...I don;t even want to bake a frozen cookie. Been wanting to try making a milk cake all summer and never have even checked if I have the ingredients. Beth, stay calm and do the best you can. I always go by the time on my phone because it seems to be the most accurate for me...every clock in this house reads a different time so we all just use our phones for universal agreement. Telling time in my houses has always been a joke. Glad you stood up for yourself Pat. Have to look out for yourself! JoGee you still inspire me and Jostoy, you do in the morning before i get up than I do all day. You people shame me so now I am off to find a chore to do and an errand to run. Maybe I just needed a new haircut to bring me back to life...

We always laughed because it was like we went through a "time" warp going from the house to the car. The car clock was always ahead of the house ones.

        Morning all

Today is day 4 of a 6-day stretch at work. Looking forward to having Sunday & Monday off!

Boss sent out an email to all of the board with the accomplishments that I listed that he left off of my evaluation. ZERO response. Typical.

My oldest niece arrives tomorrow from St. Louis for a week - can't wait to see her and her little family.

Donna - thanks for the recipe!

        Y'all have a good 'un.
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Good morning, all. Over 100º by late afternoon. About 3:00 to 4:00 is the latest. Amazing but a 24% chance of rain Sat. No way unless it's a thunder storm and we don't need any of those this time of year as everything is dry, dry, dry.

Can't sit very long as my left foot and ankle are really acting up from the venous insufficiency. No GPs available right now, more specialists than you can shake a stick at around here but few GPs so I need a new Dr.

About all for now. Drink my tea and make my dish for the potluck. I made a pound cake yesterday and will make an easy casserole.
I used the pound cake that Maye likes but I switched it around a bit by adding 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 2 tsp of espresso powder instead. Cut back flour by 1/2 cup. Don't try it until I let you know how it worked but it looks lovely and the batter was delicious.

Beth, I know a new job is always difficult. Try to be patient.

See you all later. Have a good one.

            Good morning!
Thank you, Elaine! Red is one of my favorite colors and in that picture I was standing between my daughter and my best friend so I was really happy!
I won't do ham in a crockpot again. It was fall off the bone, fall apart done, but probably not too easy to slice up for sandwiches...it tasted really good. Just not the presentation I wanted. I made the corn pudding Maye makes and another friend made a huge potatoes salad.
This is the day that 43 years ago Gary and I were married. I am not sad, at all. We had a wonderful marriage and the memory of his many compliments and sweet, loving words keeps me going if I do get a little down.
It was so good to get back into the routine of our preschool yesterday.
Hope you all find things to be grateful for and make it a great day!
You all make my day better for reading your posts and feeling our friendship! Thanks so much!

Barb.. make a notation of your tweaks and if you say it is good.. will try it.... love that recipe... gets better every day when you use the orange .
at 3 days old it is delicious...

Paula.. what a sweet day for you. to be remembering Gary with such a smile on your face.. he must have been a sweetheart.. but he should see you now!!!!!!!... ( and he probably does. if you feel a pinch later today.. just smile ).. btw you look great in Red.

Donna brought me soup for dinner today... love that girl to pieces... so Glad she is back in Pa and 2 min from my house....

Pat. hang in there.... at least they all know now what an asset you are to the company...

I started on my campaign to weed out this house ,, toss what is unnecessary.. and sort what I want to kept near and dear. ( even if its junk)... and then box up the better stuff.. mark it.. and store in garage. giving away books will be the hardest.. I love books.. but I dont need 7 bud vases or 21 empty jelly jars. or file cabinet drawers with worn out piano lesson books..

ok back to work .. Mark is here .. mowed the yard. now trimming ... #1 son is our helpmate.. ( as is Daughter )..

Take it one Day , one step, at a time.. cause that's all we really have.

                Good afternoon, busy people!
We had to leave early this morning to find the place where The lecture on diabetes was being held. The speaker had slides to show us, as she read from a stack of papers from different sources, what diabetes is and its treatments. A bit boring. Anything not in her paperwork was personal experience from when her son was diagnosed with it from age 9, now in his young 20's. I gather how your body handles diabetes and what treatment you get is purely an individual thing. The one thing you can control is your portioning of foods and types of foods...your diet.
Still, I'm not sure I'm seriously diabetic, with all the other medical misfortunes I'm currently dealing with.....all blood tests are affected by it. As is my energy level and strength. (I'll get past this, I'm certain.)
But, there's also another lecture coming up on Medicare. E wants to go & our niece wants to as well. If it's not this weekend, I guess E & I will go. We are going to Phx this weekend for GD's bridal shower.
So I've got boxes of cookbooks and other stuff to pack up for delivery to our girls. How do we collect so much stuff over the years??????????????
Yesterday at the hardware store's kitchen store, E picked up a waffle bowl maker. Also he noted a mini tart pan in my basket, and asked, ""That's for making bacon bowls for me, isn't it?" I didn't realize he'd be so excited over it, and did plan to surprise him with it. However, I promised to get rid of two other small kitchen appliances for it. I have 2-3,waffle irons, and am willing to let at least one go. Have to figure out the second one to go.

Maxie, I don't see me as an inspiring person, but thank you very much. You made my day.
Yes, Paula, red is definitely your color.
                Sassy....love the funny cat!
Beth, Pat.....hang in there. Supervisors are not always easy or fair. (I've had my share in my day.) keep smiling. They have their thoughts in other areas, I guess. But eventually things will work out.
Barb, your cake sounds good. Mocha! 😋 I wonder what my Bundt cake book might have?
Elaine, that was quick-fix in' on your garage door!
Maye, I have music books to sort 'n "share", I just don't know who would use them here.

Hope the rest of today goes well for you all. Rain or not. ☺️ Be happy.

Good Evening to all, I have read each and every thing everyone wrote, but just lacking the energy go respond. Been a very long day....Ready for hubby to be home, have dinner and then relax for a little while...BUT, we need to get motorhome loaded for tomorrow....taking a weekend trip to see an outdoor drama, Tecumseh and go behind the the stage and meet the actors, and also have a buffet dinner before the drama begins...oldest son and his SO will be coming down on Sat. to join us...looking forward to it. See you guys in the morning.
