    Good Morning!

Fabulous day here. Got my ironing done, my floor steamed, trash hauled out, and now I'm off to rehab.

Hope you each have a great day, as well.

    Hugs ~

yucky weather here...headed up stairs to get busy...must clean out the fridge and freezer...then head to my sisters with the trash for the week. then home to put laundry in the dryer and put clean laundry away...and then do the floors in the basement and my bathroom...then if I have time I will head for walmart to try on jeans..to get a couple pairs for my new job!

Cori has a vet appointment tonight...hoping she does ok and doesn't get to upset. Staying busy so that I don't get nervous for her..

Then when my parents and I get home from Cori's appointment..mom and I are going to mass produce egg burritos for my freezer. so that I will have grab and go breakfast being that I have to leave my house by 10 after 7 every morning. Starting Monday

Good Morning. Got our trash rounded up and out to the garage, litter boxes done, hubby off to work, read one newspaper, drank one cup of coffee....Now I need to get a shower and get dressed for the day, a load of stone coming here at 10:00 a.m.then after that need to go look at the running boards that came in for my vehicle to see if they are what I want..also payday so will pay some bills...sure there will be more to do a long the way, everyday a little bit done so it doesn't all come around in one day.

Sure hope jostoy sees some of these post so she can get back here, miss hearing about what is going on with her.
Darla, hope things are moving right along for you, what is your moving date? Think Kenny will find out just what all you do when you are gone.
Elaine I need to steam my floors also...but not today.
Nothing much really happening around here, hubby has been staining the deck and railings, does a little more each day, I myself would have waited until the weather was not so humid...
Well folks time to get my day started. Think positive it makes other things seem so much better...if we think negative and grudgingly then everything seems so bleak...think of all the good in your life...
      Have a great day.
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

Boff, will be the 19th, the comment about my niece being like me when I was younger meant that I never questioned IF I could do anything. If my Brother or Dad told me I could do it, I could do it. Mom and Dad would come home with chicken feed and oyster shells and it was my brother and my job to take it from the car out to the chicken house. 4 50lb bags, we found it to much trouble to go get the wheelbarrow so he would balance a 50lb bag on each shoulder for me he then would get the other 2 and we carried them to the chicken house. I was maybe 12 years old. I can remember my Dad's cousin scolding me when she saw me packing 2 5 gallon buckets of water and telling me "Your going to wear out your back and be sorry for it when you get older" I laughed at her then but now her words keep coming back to haunt me. Then I started working at nursing homes as a CNA before you were required to wear a back brace and before they had the "lifts" so it didn't matter how big the person was they had to be moved and in order to get your work done you didn't have time to go hunt someone down to help you. My niece is that way, if it needs to be done and nobody is there to help you just pick it up and go.

And my eyes just popped open a few minutes ago. 5 a.m. on the dot, and I knew I was awake for the day.

        Good Morning, everyone.
The only thing on my agenda today is getting my hair cut.

So yesterday I put 4 frozen chicken quarters in the crockpot with some veggies. That simmered from noon til dinner time. E came home and said the house smelled so goooood! I told him it was a New England boiled dinner like I used to make in NJ. Except I didn't put the potatoes in it, I nuked them instead. After dinner I deboned and removed the skin from the chicken. Well, I'll tell you, it didn't have a kosher butcher, although it looked nice in the package. Inside were the black veins and black bony stuff I had to remove..... I'd never seen those in the chickens I bought before. It was a time consuming chore cleaning it all out.
But Ellis didn't feel pressured about dinner... I'd done it, and he loved it. And there's leftovers for a couple of days.

Other than that, I got some reading done. I need to go through craft stuff and ribbons, possibly old fabrics as well, for Emily's interests. DD likes to sew for her granddaughter and they do crafts together.
Then I need to get cookbooks together to give to my girls and grand-d's. I certainly don't need 2 bookcases full.
I hope I still have my South Beach Diet books, as it looks like the perfect diet when you're on chemo. Not for weight loss, but for the nutritional needs it covers.

I need to get some get-well cards, too. To perk up E's older brother who broke his hip. And for my brother who will be having minor eye surgery this coming week.

So that's what's on my mind today, in my little world. Time to make my mocha and contemplate breakfast.
        Then face whatever today brings.

Hope your day is a very good one!

Good Morning, we both have Dr appointments today and then I have one with the SS Dr tomorrow, the letter says they don't have enough information to determine my case and so I have to be examined by their Dr. Think it is just a $$ thing with them. I mean how can a Dr who sees you for maybe 15 minutes know anything about your condition better than the ones who have been seeing you for 2 years?

Pain Dr did write my script for extra pills for me, when I explained what was going on and how it may take me time to get health coverage and find Dr.s in IL He did suggest that he just write my script so that it will cover 2 months of pills and I come back to see him in 2 months. Told him I was going to be 300 miles away so that wasn't an option. Guess he thought I was just moving over to around Chicago.

I saw something pop up about a "diet" that is supposed to be based on the Bible. Danial chapter 2. supposed to help loose weight, lower BS and BP. They were giving the booklet away free, but wanted you to sign up for their news letter for big $$. I figure that if it is in the Bible I can look it up myself and figure it out.

Seems like a long time since I checked in. Must be a week. Heat has got me down even though I can stay in under the A/C.
Best A/C I have ever lived with.
Anyway I am here having my morning tea and starting slow.

Got my first order from Schwan's yesterday. Have tried only 1 item and it was OK, Nothing to write home about but OK. Will see how the rest goes. I know it's pricey but it may be worth it.

Elaine, you just had to say ironing. My favorite summer tops are 100% cotton and they're just sitting there waiting. Hope I can get to them today.

Trying to decide if I want to invite sis, Ada, to take me to Farmer's Market tomorrow,. Sure would like some decent tomatoes.

Beth glad to see you got the job.

Darla, you're right about destroying our bodies. My back is a disaster but I have learned to live with it. My inner workings have had to be repaired a number of times. Now if I could get my knee settled down I would be happier. Actually I'm in pretty good health other then falling apart. When I think of all the other things that could be wrong I am grateful for what I have.

About all for now. Hope we all survive the next three months.

Did most of the tings on my to do list yesterday...ran the vac, dusted, changed beds, rolled lots of meatballs to freeze, ran errands for my patient. Going to his bank took me a while since I did not know where the darn thing was! Sierra came in right after I came home and had she been here before it would have made things easier...I would have had her do the errands!! Drew and his mother came in to check on dad and stayed a while. It was a busy and full day. Today more laundry and I must cook a decent meal. Stormed last night and I know that because I laid awake most of the night. Guess when school starts in another week the summer drought will start with a tremendous heat wave. We have had way to much rain and gloomy days to suit me this summer. Nothing new from here. I think it is friday so happy friday and intro to the weekend.

              Good morning!
66* out and it isn't supposed to get higher than the 90's, so it is a great morning.
I have been priming a pair of indoor window shutters only to realize I was priming the back side! But, the picture of a bedroom I am using as my inspiration shows them the way I am doing, so it will be all right. I will paint them this weekend and get them up.
Between steaming my floors and the Swiffer, our tiles look good. My next project is the grout. Not sure how, yet, so a mix of YouTube and asking at Home Depot will be my instructions! I am just done with people coming into the house for awhile.
I have a hair appointment after daycare today. Cut and color, but not much more than a trim on length. As much as I hate my hair flying in my face when it's windy, I like my ears covered. So, I may be looking for cute hats to hold it down.
I have some kids here and it looks like my day has begun!
Hope you all have joy in yours!

Maxie, I had to laugh at myself. Your comment about rain.....my very first thought was "can you have too much rain???"
Here in the land of nearly perpetual sunshine 🌵 and heat, there's nearly always drought. We get I guess an average of 13" of rain per year....if we're lucky. When you get your rainstorms, please ask Mother Nature and all the powers that be to just dump it in my backyard! 😏

(((((Sassy))))), I'm sorry you're having a bad day. But keep smiling anyway, and maybe things will start getting better.

Barb, good to see you posting. I've had Schwans once, not counting their free samples of ice cream in parking lots. When E's sister was too ill to get around, her son ordered her meals from them. The day we were there he got lasagna for everyone, and it was very good. But they are expensive. Nonetheless, they left a menu/price-list in our door once, and they have some tempting stuff listed. I'd say, if you think it's worth the price, go for it.

Sharon, you're right about Kenny finding out how much Darla does, when she's gone. When E took over my chores & cooking this year, he was amaze Do! He told everyone I did everything, and he had no idea how much it was. He looks so happy when I do some chores and cooking now. Oh, he's rearranged the pantry and fridge contents.....and I don't say a word, just grit my teeth a bit. But I got used to it. He will have most of the chores for the rest of the year, then I have one more surgery to go through. Some time after that, I hope my world gets back to normal. 😊 But he learned I don't read and play computer games all day long - on my normal days, that is.

Jostoy ~~~~~~~~~ hope the problem gets fixed.

                  Good Morning!

Busy I think is going to describe my days for the next 2 months. I baked 17 pies yesterday and made dinner and did some laundry. After that was all done, I mixed up 12 batches of pie dough (will make approx 68 pie shells) and cooked up 2 kinds of berry fillings for pies. Then we took a dip in the pool.

This morning my feet hit the floor running. I had to get my banking ready then headed to Giant Eagle to get their specials then stopped at both banks. Before I even left, the restaurant called to order 2 pies & a carrot cake. Sure...will squeeze those in. Got the pies delivered & he's not sure what he'll need for tomorrow. GRRRRR!!!!! Once I get the restaurant's order done, I'll start by baking 6 peach pies & then go from there. I KNOW he'll want 15 pies for tomorrow, but he doesn't want to commit to it.

It's nice having Becca home. We are having a picnic here tomorrow since this probably will be the last time my niece & her will be home at the same time until MAYBE Thanksgiving. Now that Becca works, I don't know what's going on.

Back to the kitchen....have a good one all!
