    Good Morning.

sassy I am up too early as well. And did not get in bed until way past the midnight hour. Going to be a long day.

John has a round of chemo this afternoon, but I won't go with him. I'll just piddle around here.

Hope all is well with everyone.

    Hugs ~

I'm up to early here too. Kenny has a test at the hospital and has to be there by 7:45 to get checked in. They said it should take about an hour, It is supposed to rain all day.

He did tell me yesterday that he is going to get me a U-haul I just have to have gas $$ for it. So if everyone can say a little prayer that I get a clear day to set stuff out and have good customers to buy it.

Well Gus just scratched at the screen to let me know she is ready to come in and eat so guess I better get off here and feed them. Ebil is patient until I turn in Gus and then I have both following me.

    Everybody have a great day.

Donna, it is a little over 300 miles from here to there. Boffler, the animals are going with now matter what, if the U-haul falls through it will be other things that will be left behind. True the animals will have some adjustments to make but I will be there with them.

Good morning...Cori had me up around 4 but I managed to ignore and go back to sleep until 5:00 then she would wait anymore...she has had her wet food and morning rub down and is now up above the cabinets sleeping... I am glad that I got her...now that she is past her adjustment period she is so funny....last night she discovered the flush of toilet when I flushed it she jumped up on the edge and I sersiously thought she was going to fall in !! She loves to sleep with me at night and if she gets to bed before me then she wants to sleep in the middle of the bed..and she does not want me to move her at all! I gave her a pair of my dad's pajama pants yesterday trying to get her used to his smell since they will be here this weekend...she snuggled with them...I am really hoping she will be ok with them...mom is bringing a wash cloth with her sents for Cori...

Cori has an appointment with the vet Friday evening to get her nails trimmed...I really don't think we will need to have her declawed...she doesn't use her nails much anymore at all. She has used them on me and my mom and my sister but as time has gone on she has stopped that...

Today I volunteer and then look into some job possibilities this afternoon...also I have an interview on Thursday...I am really hoping to get that job..it would perfect.

    Good morning everyone.

Determine, I pray that he will follow through on his "promise". Is that U-haul a truck or trailer?

Have to go to T.H. today as my friend wants to go somewhere today. She has had the Great-granddaughter every day for 3 weeks. It almost got her down as she wasn't feeling well Sunday. I believe it was because she was just too tired. So I'll gladly get her away for the day. If it doesn't rain, we will mow her yard this evening.

It is very foggy now, but is to clear by 9 which is when we leave. I can't imagine how foggy it is in the country when it's this foggy in town.

    Everyone have a good day.

Is anyone else having trouble getting their post to post? This has happened to me for a week now.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

I remember how foggy a town it was when I lived there, had never seen fog that heavy and have never again...and it was about the time school was back in session...I heard from two people in Robinson this past week, two friends of Brian's, they were remembering my chicken fingers I use to make for them...when I got a friends request from them I wonder who in the heck they were until I went to their Facebook pages... Have fun today getting out with a friend, always a good thing.

Jostoy, it will be a truck, he is looking at the I think 15ft one because it has a loading ramp. He said tomorrow we are going to go down to the place and talk to them and figure things out.

Good Morning. Yesterday was sunny, but about 4:30pm it clouded up and we got a nice heavy rain for about 10 minutes, then the sun came back out.

Yesterday was good. After dropping off the pies at the stand, I came home and ate breakfast. It doesn't pay to sleep in, because it just throws you behind for the day. We then ran into town and picked up groceries at Aldi's & Giant Eagle. Came home to a pie order from the restaurant that I had to work into my pie orders for the farm stand. Ended up with 11 pies yesterday. Thank goodness I had all the pie shells & tops rolled out and in the freezer. Ended up making fillings for future pies too. Slow but sure. Don't think I can make as many pies as I did last year. I told them at the restaurant that they may not get their pies as quickly due to the fact I was already going to be making 10-12 pies every day already.

Picked up some corn & green beans with delivering pies, so we had those along with chicken for dinner....yum! Blaise & I went for a quick dip after I cleaned up dinner. Today I'm w/o a car due to Corky's car having to go to the garage for a warranty repair. Aunt J is going to give me & my pies a ride to the stand this morning.

Becca called later in the evening once she got home from work. She did put money down on an apt. It's now right in the town she's working in, but about 10 minutes away. It's not as nice as the one they looked at last week, but it's acceptable & within her price range. It's one normally rented to college students, so her lease is only until May. This will work good if she happens to get the job with the sorority in June next year which will have her traveling all over for a year or two. We are hoping she gets selected...what an experience & opportunity! Kathy did get hired and she starts training today. She's to get 24hrs a week, but I'm sure if she's willing, she could pick up extra shifts...it's the willing part I'm doubting.

Today is just pie baking. Well not really, I've GOT to get working on laundry too. Somehow I'm now behind. Slow but sure. Tomorrow Blaise has an 8am dentist appt, so I'm going to try to get a little ahead today. We'll see.

    Have a good one all!

Good Day Sunshine!!! A Beatles song I really like...today will no be a good day, funeral visitation for a friend who lost her battle with cancer...our kids went to school together, her daughter and my son were sweethearts for a long time, and our friendship was from all the times together...my kids all want to be part of her memorial...Hubby stained the back deck last night and the kitties are not happy they can't go out in their kitty walk this morning...of well. Got my errands done yesterday and the rest of the house cleaning...so kind of have a free day today except for the funeral home visit..

Think I will whip up chicken fajitas for supper, will get the veggies ready so when I get home I can just put the chicken and veggies on the grill...

Well nothing new or exciting here going on...have a good day one and all...we STILL NEED RAIN!!!
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God

        Morning all

Not much new to report here. Took Erin to her pediatrician appt. yesterday afternoon. She's been having "panic attacks", but we have come to the conclusion that it might be her blood sugar dropping out. So the Dr. has ordered a fasting blood sugar test, along with a thyroid profile. Granny will take her for the blood work sometime this week.

Rained all day yesterday - didn't do much to relieve the heat wave, though. Glad August is finally here and we can count down to football season!

Today would've been my Mom's 94th birthday - still miss her every single day.

        Y'all have a good 'un!

          Good morning, Early Birds.
I do believe I was awake since about 4 a.m., but didn't rollout of bed til 5. Might as well get out of bed if you can't sleep!
So here I am with my cuppa mocha. I tried Irish cream creamer in it....can't taste hardly any difference. ☕️

I'm still super pleased to see that we got so much rain on Sunday....6-1/2". Had some rain overnight, too, it looks like. I hope we still get some from the current future forecasts this week. We'll see.

E has to take the car in today for its checkup/servicing. I plan to get a couple of things done here, at least. What I can't get to today, well, he'll be gone most of tomorrow.

I have to get to the base this week to get my ID Card updated. It expires this weekend. His card is permanent, lucky fella. Wish mine could be, too. It's bad enough with keeping up with the driver's license.

Express Scripts has yet to acknowledge my prescription. They say they're not hearing from my hospital people. Liars! My hospital people have called and had the impression it went through. I may just ask for something else, when I see my doctor next week. I can't believe all this crap. Even I talked to someone in ES who thanked me for my info and said the meds were processing for home delivery! E even gave them info for auto-payment with the prescriptions!
Well, maybe getting something else will be for the best. We are very concerned about home delivery in this heat, dropped in metal mail boxes that might sometimes get to 150°+, you know? As it is, E was just reading in his sciencevmagazine(s) that our planet is definitely undergoing climate change, and there will be record high temps everywhere for the next three months. I guess we will see how this autumn goes, won't we? 😎

Looks like a fairly busy day ahead for everyone.
Hope your day goes beautifully for you.

Jon's surgery time was set back an hour yesterday so I have a few minutes. I am dressed and organized but the boy is still laying around like he has no where to go. Oh well, his hernia, not mine. Yesterday both kids showed up and we had pork steaks and baked potatoes...very good and company was just as nice. The boys swam after and Sierra went on to meet mommy dearest for some reason or another but probably just to take time away from us. The games that woman plays...! It is raining now but a gentle rain. My flowers do not know what to expect from day to day around here, either scorching heat or monsoon rains. They are not looking very good. I am already hearing signs on fall in the night sounds. My sister and I spent early mornings and late evenings sitting the pool with coffee and noticed how fall seemed to be in the air already. And what is with those annoying sweat bees? They are so bothersome and are swarming around. Well need to make sure I have a book and jacket out for a long day. Sierra is joining me so I will have company...gosh I hope he is not a pain in my rear when he gets home. He used to be really good when sick or hurt but now as an adult who knows. For sure this will mess with my schedule of doing what I want when I want...am I a selfish old hag? You betcha!!!

I am not sure how I forgot to post or read this morning. I was trying to get a few things done and the next thing I knew I had kids walking in.
Everybody is here today. Lots more fun and the chatter just keeps going.
I actually have an office and not a storage room anymore! And none of the things being stacked or stored in there went to storage. I have taken a load to the shelter yard sale and a bunch to the trash. Becky took a second donation pile to the yard sale. I picked up ( pre-sale) a pair of inside shutters that I am going to paint and put in my room. Just decorative, that I saw on a magazine cover a long time ago. I saved that cover and just found it while going through a craft drawer. Then saw the shutters in a pile at the shelter and said I wanted them and they let me buy on the spot. Yay! Worth hauling all the tubs of ( started to use a C word) holiday decorations that haven't been used for a few years.
I have a friend who just moved into a smaller house and decided her Mary Engelbreit days were over. I figured if she could let go of all her tea pots, cups, plates, cute things, I could certainly let go of some of mine. I haven't opened a tub and found anything that couldn't go, yet.
              Sorry to post so late.
I got enough sleep, got up in time to do a lot, but I may have to rethink what I do before daycare. I miss starting my day with all of you!
