Morning all Yes, I did get my Saturday off.

Got Mickie's Cottage cheese bread in the machine - but I subbed ricotta instead of cottage cheese. Should go great with the Chicken Marsala I'll be making for supper.

Erin and I will be cleaning out her room today - one of the condo owners decided she wanted all new bedroom furniture, so I received a new dresser, bedside table, TV stand, and wicker headboard. Should make Erin's room look great. Also got a comforter and matching pillows.

Also will take Erin for a haircut at some point.

I volunteered to work tomorrow for 1/2 day - gotta get the monthly statements out so we can get some money in!

I'm off to make some banana streusel muffins for breakfast. Y'all have a good 'un!
The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday.

Good Morning Sassy and Pat, as well as others who open the door.

Nothing on my agenda for today. Glad to be able just to relax today. Have been busy about all week.

    Everyone have a great day.
Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.

Jo is like the energizer bunny....even if you don't think anything 'needs' done she will have something to do... Keeps her young, BUT also sore and tender...

Good morning, all. Another hot day here. Thankful for good A/C. Will take Lily out soon before it gets too hot for both of us.

Baby daughter is coming today sometime. Her 30th class reunion. They grow up soooo fast. Wish I had know sooner that Rebecca was coming. I would have made her favorite Black Forest Cake.

Feeling pretty good this morning. Went to do a little shopping yesterday and bought a one cup Kerurig. Went to clean it as is instructed. The cleaning water has coffee grounds in it. Back it goes tomorrow and I'm still ticked off at them for even selling something that is obviously used as new.
After shopping we went for Mexican lunch. So good. We agreed to go there more often. Got there right at lunch time and it was pretty crowded but we got a table right away. Good service and good food in a friendly atmosphere. Can't ask for more than that.

Thar's all for now. Need to get some breakfast, walk doglet, assemble my new laundry cart and take the old one up to the dumpster. Better tidy up a bit, too.
    Everyone have a great day.

Good RAINY Morning! This is nice for the farmers, but kind of screws up all the events going on around here. Guess you can't have it both ways.

Yesterday was good. Got a couple errands done before my ultra sound. She took me back 15 minutes before my appt time and I was back out of there 5 minutes before my appt time. How nice is that? At Aldi's I bought stuff for Becca's kitchen...spices & other basics. She called me late morning and the idiot kid decided he wasn't going to move in after he had ANOTHER fight with one of the roommates. So now Becca is definitely looking for a place and waiting to hear if her co-wkr is willing to move in with her so they can split the costs. If not, she's going to look for a 1 bdrm. Had a nice chat with my friend Maureen & she said she'd bring stuff to decorate Becca's apt. Me...I don't decorate...I provide necessities.

After lunch Blaise & I went to the bank & library in Saxonburg. I had two books come in that I requested. Came home and iced two of the kinds of cookies I had baked on Thursday. Made up the icing for the cookies I need to ice today. After dinner Blaise & I did go for a swim.

This morning I hope to get all the sugar cookies iced. I have an order for them for Tuesday. Then I hope to roll out some more pie dough. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring. Kathy was suppose to be taking Blaise this afternoon to watch the International baseball games down in Freeport & then watch the fireworks, but with the rain I'm sure she'll back out. I was then hoping to go with Cork to meet up with Becca to switch license plates and maybe go out for dinner. Oh well. Time will tell.

Time to eat breakfast and get busy icing cookies. Have a good one all!

Beth what kind of litter do you use? I use the scoop away multi cat (even though Gus rarely goes inside) I think that any clumping litter will help so long as you clean it every day.

I use the kitty litter boxes that have a hood and a place for a filter in the top....I use Fresh Step for multi cats, and I do clean everyday and put the 'stuff' in a bag and keep in a bucket beside the trash can in the garage until trash day...I buy the little trash bags that are scented...

Good Morning, planned on carrying some stuff out in the yard yesterday and that got squashed. Thunder storm moved in and heavy rain. Today it is cloudy like it is going to start pouring at any second. too.

Boffler, I know all about sacrifice, My problem right now is that very little actual money passes through my hands. If he hands me money for anything he knows how much I spent on what I was getting so knows how much I have left (he knows better than I do how much I have in my purse). The only thing he doesn't keep track of is the change, but even though he doesn't know exactly how much in coins I have he does have a pretty good guess and so when I need basic household stuff like shampoo, dish soap etc, I hear you should have enough in change for that." I am one of those people who even when at the thrift shop or a yard sale will look at something that cost a quarter and debate on if I really need it or if I better save that quarter in case I need something later on. My Dad made pretty good money but we were taught the value of it and the difference between NEED and WANT

Talked to Sheryle and we are going to have our last "girls day" on the 11th. We don't do anything big, will probably go to the thrift shop (will look for me at least one pair of shorts since mine are getting to tight) and then out to lunch. Basically just the two of us getting away from the men and doing something besides going to Drs and grocery store. Of course when I told Kenny he rolled his eyes and I told him this will be the last time I will probably ever see her. She started out as his friend but now it is more she is my friend. She and Maryanne are the ones I will miss.

Looks like before I leave I will need to call the dog catcher to come and get this silly beagle that has moved in. I keep telling Fred that Wilma can't go with us, but he like most males don't listen. Yesterday while he was in the house and it was pouring rain she was in the dog house. As soon as I put him back outside he went in with her. Makes me feel bad because they are so close, she isn't in heat so I know that isn't why he likes her hanging around.

Charlotte is going to see if she can come up with another pet carrier, said she thinks there is one there at her house, if not she will call a friend for one. The one I have is big enough for both cats but don't know how well they will travel together for 5 hours since they have slapping contest when they get close to each other most of the time.

Well I guess I better get off here, need to take a shower, since he said that we are going to see Wayne today. He is trying to figure out how to get the generator on the truck and take it to try to sell. He thinks that if he has it on the truck where the guys can see it that someone will buy it. Pray that they do, he said that if he can sell it and the power washer that he will give me the $$ for the U-haul and I just have to come up with the $$ for gas by selling stuff at the yard sale.

        Good Morning

was up for over an hour middle of the night with spasm from knee to ankle that just did not want to quit .. until I got up . walked around ,checked out the house. and played with kitty ... finally got back to bed but had to read myself to sleep... so kind of taking my time to get moving today.. Mark has been here and gone ...
....Karen, family going on vacation after their madcap week with Bethany , carnival. baton. etc etc...in the Miss Saxonburg contest ,Bethany is First Runner-up. ... they want to leave today??? and we will get Shelby ,the dog. and probably go feed cats ... thank heavens they only live 1 1/4 mile away..Shelby cannot run free here.. so has to be on leash to do toilet needs. OR we just take over to the house. and let her run in the yard until she goes.. while we feed the cats.. Shelby is getting older and sleeps a lot. so not a problem keeping her..

Pat. happy you got the time off.. and what a great way to get Erin's room redone!... how is Erin wearing her hair.. short of long ?.

SassyG... yes,, that is typical cat behavior. LOL..
Jostoy... you are relaxing today??????... ( let me check her temperature and pulse .. just to make sure ) you deserve a free day!!!!!!

        Hi Paula,
        Hi Justy..

        be back later to read

        Good morning everyone! ☕️

Had a good visit with the DD south of Phx. Got to look at her youngest's girl's new school schedule, I have never had such a heavy load of studies in my high school years. But she's enthusiastically looking forward to it, especially the "advanced PE".

Afterwards we checked in our hotel, then out to dinner. As we left the resteraunt, there was plenty of lightning and my phone has frequent weather warning alerts of heavy dust storms (aka Haboobs). The winds sure were heavy. E had to stop for a couple of things at the grocery store, so I enjoyed seeing some guy looking for his car, his headlights going on in sync with the heavy lightning. He couldn't see it. Finally his efforts fell out of sync, and there it was! He was only one aisle away. It doesn't seem that any dust, much less rain, actually hit. It's a very SUNNY morning here, surprisingly only going to 103° today. With rain scheduled for both PHX & TUC Sunday morning, the temps will be 100° or below. I LIKE that.

Today we will have GGD's summer school "graduation" at our Granddaughter's new home. With her new mastiff puppy.
GD and her SO are living there, and they plan to marry in October. Looks like a nice house from the picture. She also has an inground pool in her backyard. I don't envy them it's upkeep. It's the dog I'm not so sure about. They grow into the Paul Bunyan of canines. They take it everywhere (except to work) and DD babysits the pup and SO's little nephew sometimes during the week. It should be a most "interesting" day.

Sassy, sometimes cats like to cuddle with each other. Some of mine did, too.
Pat, toss me a muffin, please. Sounds soooo good. Glad you have the day off today! What do they do with the old condo furniture?
Joystoy...."forced" relaxation today? You need/deserve it!
Barb, it'll be nice for you to see your DD. Yes, they grow up far too fast.
Hi Cookie...busy as usual. Sometimes I think your butt wouldn't recognize a chair. I think Becca would be better off on her own. Her budget may be a bit tighter, but the hassles of roommates won't be in the picture.

And to everyone, have a wonderful day.

Well, it looks like Beth. Darla, Maye & I were typing together!
Beth....try sprinkling baking soda into or under the litter, in the box. Some people swear by it. You might consider changing litter brands. Next time you are near a pet store, go in and ask them about litter box odor control. They will probably be your best help.

Darla, hope the move goes smoothly.
Hi Maye, and all who follow.

Home! It is a good place to be....got in early this morning and just drug my suitcase in to unpack. I had a wonderful time and my niece sold her house in 24 hours and yesterday we viewed apartments and she signed a lease for a lovely villa just a few miles from the hospital she will be working at. It was so nice to have her for a week and now so close permanently. Sierra stayed until Thursday and went home with her dad....he and Andrew were there last weekend and came back Wednesday and Thursday. Scott only joined us for a day but I saw my baby brother and family for the first time since Easter. I love reunion week and am so grateful my sister is in a position to host. Some nights even the couches were beds! Weather was fantastic and the couple of rainy days cleared in the afternoon. I even have a tan!! Have not tanned since my skin cancer surgery and I must admit that I missed a little summer color. Now it is back into a routine. Jon has his surgery Tuesday so I will spend the week catering to his needs. If need be my sister and I will go to Kansas City and be there for the movers but that could be a month off. Even though I have my own room and bath at my sister's it will be nice to be in my own bed tonight. I came in here this morning and there was no paper in the bathroom! Although towels are folded and sitting on the living room coffee table it appears the dishwasher has been run. It will take me a few days to read of all your past adventures and check face book...oh, he did run the vacuum because it almost tripped me coming in with my suitcase and sun glasses on. So nice to be home!!

Nothing much happening around here other than Demolition Derby. Son got 1st place, his son got 3rd place and another grandson got 4th. Guess the old guy (53) had to show the younger ones how it was done! LOL

Graceful me knocked a huge box of spaghetti over and it spilled all over the floor. I am trying to pick it up with a grabber and putting it in the compactor. This might take all weekend. Had to take a break from that. Guess I should get back and pick up some more. At least it isn't messy just time consuming. If I were young and agile it would be a 5 minute job.

I got it down to a small pile and left it for the son to finish up with central vac. Didn't even have to ask as he noticed my mess when he was taking the compactor bag out for trash disposal.
